Charlene was an exceptional doula to my family. She helped my husband and I welcome our second child in North Vancouver this summer and I don't know what we would have done without her. She was compassionate, knowledgable, extremely skilled at birthing support, and helped hold us all together during a challenging labour, as well as provided us with all kinds of helpful support before and after the delivery. I can't say enough kind things about her, she thought of all the small things to make the journey easier for us, she comes highly recommended.

Hi, I’m Sage. I’m a doula and the founder of Mommy Meltdown Perinatal Services. I started this work because I noticed the lack of a village when I could have used one the most. My lived experience is why I’m so committed to making sure no one else has to navigate the messy, beautiful reality of parenthood alone. I don’t understand this work just from a book, I’ve been there too. I am a DONA International trained birth doula, hold a COC in group peer support, and am trained in perinatal mental health and anxiety disorders from a non-clinical perspective. I’m here to support your body and your mind through labor and the weeks that follow. When it comes to birth, I’m a calm, steady advocate in your corner. I won't tell you how to birth; I'll be there to make sure you have the evidence-based information you need to make your own choices with confidence and the support you need to see them through. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to connect. Let's have a quick chat to get to know each other and talk about how I can best support your unique journey!

Sage was a huge help for us in those first couple weeks of postpartum. Knowing she was watching over our baby girl gave us some much needed sound sleep and her advice during that time was invaluable. She's so easy to talk to and incredibly helpful with getting back on top of our baby laundry and dishes. Highly recommend Sage and her services!

As a new mom, my husband and I didn’t have any family nearby, so I had many questions and felt unsure about what to expect after my pregnancy. Tiffany was a helpful resource before, during, and after the birth. With so many things I didn’t know and no one to guide me, Tiffany stayed with us and was always friendly, dependable and easy to talk to. She offered kind support and helpful advice for all my questions. Our baby also felt very comfortable with her, which made our transition to life with a new baby much easier. We are very thankful for Tiffany’s help as our doula. Having her around at such an important time meant a lot to our family. Even months after the baby was born, she continued to be a caring and dependable presence, and our little one has grown to love her.

Santaya Stander

Hey my name is Santaya, I am a Birth doula.I work as a pregnancy coach while also being a personal trainer for delivery. I work with families to help them achieve their goals for birth. This means i meet with patients (and families) twice during pregnancy to go over needs and goals for clients birth plans. During my clients pregnancy i visit them every trimester to do a check up. In these visits i go over what to expect within that trimester and answer any of the patients questions. I also track the pregnancy in a book that i give to the patient after delivery. I offer business hours on call support to my clients. This means i will be available from 9 am-5pm for physical support, emotional support and informational support via text or call. I help assist/coach my clients with delivery at the hospital however long that may be.I don't have to do shift change. I am present during labor till a few hours after.I help support clients that decide on natural birth, epidural or C section. Postpartum clients usually feel they no longer need men after a couple hours. Most times this is natural for the family unit to adjust and adapt to normal everyday life. However, I also offer packages for postpartum newborn aftercare where I can assist with breastfeeding and overnight care of the newborn. My passion in life is the celebration of mothers. Working with women and helping women build their families THIER way. Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you feel you are in need of a doula please reach out. I offer 1hr consultations in person for $25 dollars.Or free 15 minute consultation over the phone. You can contact me via email @ taya.prodoula@gmail.com. Syllona’s warm, patient demeanour was just what we needed as first-time parents. We felt safe, heard, and supported throughout our time with her. She shared plenty of resources with us and was generous with her knowledge and time, providing support tailored to our needs. During labour she jumped in proactively with pain management techniques and provided tangible guidance when considering different medical interventions. Our baby also loved her gentle approach during the postpartum visit. Overall, working with Syllona was so worth it and we look forward to keeping in touch!

Working with Mak has honestly been one of the best decisions we’ve made during this pregnancy. From the very first consultation, she was so kind, genuine, and informative. She came to my home, sat down with me, walked me through what her role as a doula would look like, answered all my questions, and instantly made me feel comfortable. I never felt pressured or “sold to” at all. If anything, she gave me the information and confidence I needed to make the best decision for myself. What stood out to me most was how empowering she was. She reminded me that I was fully capable of having a beautiful birth experience with or without a doula, which I really respected. In the end, I chose to move forward with her because I could tell her focus was truly on supporting both me and my partner throughout the experience. She also checks in often just to see how I’m doing and how pregnancy is going, and she always congratulates me with each passing week. It may seem small, but it’s been so encouraging and reassuring during this season, especially after 4 previous miscarriages. Our first official appointment together was amazing too. My partner was there and had such a great experience with her as well. She’s very hands-on in such a comforting and supportive way. She guided us through different exercises and learning activities without it ever feeling overwhelming. She brought dolls to teach diaper changing, diapers, a medicine ball, handouts for birth prep, interactive card games around birth preferences and important conversations, and so many other thoughtful tools. You can tell she really knows her stuff and genuinely cares about the families she works with. The heart she brings into her work is really special and has made this experience even more magical than it already always was!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’m so grateful Jodie was part of my journey, from the beginning of my pregnancy through the birth of my baby and even afterward. She made me feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely cared for every step of the way. Jodie has such a calming presence and always seemed to know exactly what I needed, whether it was reassurance, guidance, someone to listen, or simply a hand to hold. Having her by my side for my baby’s birth meant so much to me, and her kindness and genuine care are something I’ll always remember. I couldn’t recommend Jodie enough. Thank you for everything, Jodie. ❤️
