I'm a proud mama of two smart, rambunctious boys. I love to cook for and spend quality time with my family and friends. When birthing schedule allows, I also love travelling. I found my way to being a doula after the birth of my second baby. Though my pregnancy and birth were perfectly planned and perfectly played out, I had nothing setup and prepared for postpartum. Two days after I gave birth I was up making myself breakfast, getting my oldest off to school, and driving myself and new baby to his first pediatric appointment. I felt alone and isolated. Many days I would just cry from being overwhelmed. I told my doula and lactation consultant that as soon as I was healed I would train to be a postpartum doula so that no other families nor mom would have to suffer in silence. I have always wanted to be in birthwork, since I had my first child at 18, but never knew where I would fit in. A few years ago I learned what a doula was and knew that that was where I belong. I love all things pregnancy and childbirth and love to learn more about it. I have worked in restaurants my whole life so I am very good at multi tasking and thinking on my feet and solving problems. I am a newer doula, however I have been helping friends, co workers and family forever with childbirth.
