Working with Teresa has been an absolute dream. She is one of those providers that you simply cannot top. She is warm, communicative, and so so incredibly talented. I reccomend her to each and every one of my clients who needs overnight support I cannot accomodate. When I tell you Teresa is GIFT to the Seattle postpartum community I truly MEAN it. I tell my clients I would trust Teresa with MY own children if I were to have them and they can too. Her professionalism, background, and immense community impact makes her unparalled provider. If you have a question about it she has seen it, done it, conquered it. I truly cannot reccomend her enough. I also see this immensely benevolent side of her - this work goes far beyond any fee her clients pay. It's soul work. She wants to help. She cares. She is your VILLAGE. Teresa is the dream team member every postpartum client needs. I would reccomend Teresa without any hesistation for any of your postpartum needs.

We hired Esme as a postpartum doula to help us get some sleep during the first months with our newborn. As first-time parents, everything felt overwhelming. We were also a bit worried about having someone new in the house at night, but Esme made it feel easy from day one—we felt comfortable with her right away. Esme was honestly a lifesaver for us in those early months. We feel very lucky to have had her support. Our baby would often wake up crying at night and was hard to soothe, but Esme handled those moments with such calmness and confidence. She clearly knows how to work with newborns, and that’s not easy to find. Our daughter felt comfortable with her, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. What stood out the most was how calm she stayed, even during more intense moments. That calm presence really helped our baby settle much faster. We would absolutely recommend Esme to any new parents—she makes a huge difference, both for the baby and for your own sanity and sleep.

I walk this path as a full-spectrum doula serving Skagit, Island, and Whatcom counties, supporting families through every phase of their journey with compassion, truth, and a deep reverence for the lineage of birthworkers who came before us. My work weaves modern care with ancestral knowing, honoring the understanding that my ancestors have always been the original doulas and community nurturers. Through Blakk Box Doula Services LLC, I offer birth, postpartum, and emotional support rooted in balance, grounding, and connection. My services include Reiki-infused massage, blessingways, placenta encapsulation resources, herbal teas and bath salts, yoni steaming, cleansing baths for trauma release, and intentional postpartum care that uplifts the body, spirit, and home. My calling is to create safe, loving spaces where birthing people feel seen, supported, informed, and empowered. Whether walking with you through pregnancy, birth, the tender postpartum window, my goal is to help you feel held—never rushed, never alone. If you’re seeking support that is holistic, heart-centered, and rooted in truth, I would be honored to walk this sacred path with you.

Let me tell you postpartum depression and doing life alone is no joke! And through prayer De’Angela had crossed my path when I was about to give it all up because I was tired of doing life alone! I had no idea what a doula is was nothing but man let me tell you something I been finding the light and loving life again! And to know I am not the only one going through it. I can’t thank her enough for the work she has helped me through on my healing journey!

Rae P. Jimenez

11 years of experience

My name is Rae Pittenger-Jimenez (she/they); I am a midwife, full-spectrum doula, and analog film photographer living in the Pacific Northwest. With over a decade in perinatal healthcare, my work weaves together clinical care with photography and writing, creating a body of work that is both interpretive of the reproductive experience and indexical to the unseen labor of family-building and parenthood. My creative and support practice is informed by years of clinical experience in prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, combined with my own experiences of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood.

I truly cannot recommend Rae enough! She was my doula, midwife, and birth photographer for all three of my births, and I honestly can't imagine going through those experiences with anyone else. Rae wears many hats, and her experience as a midwife allowed her to provide an exceptional level of care as my doula. From the very beginning, she made me feel supported, informed, and genuinely cared for. Her calm presence, incredible knowledge, and unwavering encouragement gave me confidence through every stage of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. She always knew exactly when to offer guidance and no question was too small. She advocated when needed and provided a reassuring presence in the birth space. She made even the most challenging moments feel manageable. Beyond labor and delivery, she also provided thoughtful prenatal care and postpartum check-ins. I am beyond thankful for the support Rae provided. As a photographer, Rae beautifully captured the raw, emotional, and fleeting moments of each birth. Those photos are among my most treasured possessions, and I know I'll cherish them for years to come. She not only documented each birth but also supported our family every time it grew, making each experience even more meaningful. If you're looking for someone who will wholeheartedly support you, provide exceptional care, and preserve your birth story with stunning photographs, you won't find anyone better. I am endlessly grateful for everything Rae has done for my family and will cherish the memories she helped create forever.

My experience with Bridgette was fantastic. My main reason for using a doula was I wanted someone in the birth room to be a fierce advocate while I was medicated and in pain and unable to advocate for myself. She was that and so much more. I had to push for 4 hours to get my little one out after already being in labor for 18 hours. The doctor said I was close to needing the vacuum to get her out and I credit Bridgette's knowledge, encouragement of frequent position changes while pushing and encouragement to keep hydrated and nourished with clear liquids to why I was able to get my little one out without the vacuum. Another thing that was a great help was giving my overwhelmed partner guidance on the best ways of helping me and keeping him calm and involved in a stressful situation. In addition to that she got the BEST pictures of the delivery while respecting the fact I didn't want any from the angle you could see my more intimate areas. I'll cherish those pictures forever. My birth was a beautiful wonderful experience. I have to credit part of it to luck but the majority of it to Bridgette.
