Hello there! My name is Cloey and I am a birth & postpartum doula in training. I have 10 years of experience supporting families as an early childhood educator and nanny, including working with newborns and parents during the postpartum period. My greatest passion in life is supporting new families of all forms. My goal is to support you in the birth/postpartum journey you desire — I will be your cheerleader every step of the way. I am almost finished with my training and looking for clients who would like discounted doula services in exchange for being my first few clients. :) I will be providing discounted birth support for my first 3 clients, as well as 30 hours of postpartum support for at least 2 clients (8 visits minimum) at a donation rate. have been a doula since 2007 and have had the opportunity to attend a variety of births including medicated, non-medicated, multiples, VBAC’s and home-births. I use many tools to help a woman cope in labor including massage, pressure points, movement, aromatherapy and I am trained in using a TENS unit and have units that I let my clients use for their labor. I love teaching some of the tricks I have learned over the years to the dad and helping him feel a part of the birth. My goal is for the mom and dad to feel like “WE did it” as they hold their sweet baby. I feel passionate about a woman’s power and ability to have the kind of birth experience she longs for. Birth is a beautiful, powerful and natural event. I believe that during labor, a mom needs to surround herself with people that believe in her ability and trust her body and I am always honored when chosen to be a part of that team. Hello! I stumbled headfirst into the birth world through a non birth related podcast. After hearing the host’s birth story I was awestruck. I needed to know more. The more I learned, the more I felt called to this work. I firmly believe that everyone has the right to reproductive justice, to birth the way they want to, and to be able to define their birth experience their way. Choosing your birth team is one of the most important choices you can make during your pregnancy. I completed my formal birth doula training with Childbirth International in 2024 but have been practicing since early 2023. What sets me apart is my background as an engineer. This background when combined with my birth doula training gives me the unique ability to take in information (the cues you are giving, your words and actions, your progression, your outlook on the situation, and the care providers words and actions) and move forward with a plan for the next few moments, and then reassess and move forward once again.
