Working with Alondra was an amazing experience! She was a soothing and knowledgeable presence from the beginning. She was intentional in her communication and fielded all my questions. She genuinely cared about my baby as she checked in with me after all my appointments. She helped me create a birth plan and was super supportive. She encouraged my husbands participation in my labor and birth and made sure he also felt supported during this. As someone who wanted to labor at home and then go to the hospital for a water birth, it came as a surprise to me when my water broke well before labor started. I knew that this increased my risk for infection but Alondra was supportive of my decision to give my body time to allow labor to start naturally. It had been well over 24 hours and my labor had not started which allowed fear and worry to creep in on my husband and I. Alondra made the decision to join us at our house prior to us all going to the hospital. She was able to provide the emotional support both my husband and I needed but didn't realize it. Alondra then came with us to the hospital. Seeing the hospital room and knowing I was going to have to do my entire labor there which was not what I wanted triggered a lot of emotion for me. Alondra created a beautiful moment for my husband and played our wedding song and had us slow dance. It's a moment I'll never forget and am so grateful for. Alondra continued to encourage me to do some exercises and positioning techniques to help quicken labor. Before I knew it, active labor had started without the need for pitocin. Alondra supported my husband through supporting me and also helped with certain positions and techniques to make me as comfortable as possible. Just 12 hours after getting to the hospital, our sweet baby boy was born. Although it wasn't as I had planned, I was still able to have an all natural water birth. I truly would not have been able to do it without Alondra!

Danielle Forte (she/her)

Danielle is a DONA International trained Labor and Birth Doula, NICU-Informed Doula, and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She is currently accepting birth clients through her doula practice, Wholehearted Birth Support. For the past decade, advocacy and empowerment have been at the heart of Danielle's clinical practice. This foundation led to a natural transition into birth work. Danielle arrived at birth work driven by a passion for supporting families with complex fertility journeys, providing trauma-informed birth support and increasing access to LGBTQIA2S+ affirming doula care. Danielle also cares deeply about improving perinatal mental health experiences and access to care, supporting NICU families, and facilitating full family wellness through offering postpartum planning guidance. Danielle works in concert with the birthing parent and their support system to understand their birth preferences, concerns, and their hopes for their birth experience. She deeply honors the unique and personal journeys that bring people to parenthood, and seeks to understand her client's history prior to birth to inform the individualized care they would benefit from during labor and delivery. Advanced training in perinatal mental health and perinatal loss allow Danielle to not only provide supportive care during pregnancy and birth, but to create a holding environment through any pregnancy outcome. Times of great transition are deserving of tender support and care. Danielle's utmost hope is that time spent together leaves you feeling connected to needed support and with memories of an empowering birth experience.

Hi, I’m Emily! I’m a Certified Perinatal Doula (CPD) and artist based in Providence, Rhode Island. I’ve been supporting birthing families since 2022, but my path to this work started long before then. Living with endometriosis shaped my understanding of how essential it is to feel seen, heard, and supported in healthcare. When I was first learning how to navigate life with endo, I needed someone who could inform, empower, and walk with me through the unknown. Now, I’m honored to be that person for others as a doula. I’m committed to inclusive, compassionate, and evidence-based support. My approach is rooted in deep listening, genuine connection, and a belief that birth can be a powerful, joyful, and transformative experience. I offer support across four pillars: physical, emotional, informational, and advocacy, so that you and your birth partner feel informed, respected, and confident throughout your journey. I also accept Rhode Island-based insurances including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Neighborhood, United, and Medicaid. I’ll help you explore your options, prepare for the unexpected, and make choices that reflect your values. I work collaboratively with your care team to create an easeful, grounded birth environment so you can focus on birthing your baby, your way.

Emily was my doula through the pregnancy and natural birth of my daughter and I can’t say enough good things about her! Emily has a wonderful energy that makes her a joy to work with, but she is also a fierce advocate who will go to bat for you. She is the perfect combination of the consummate professional and a caring friend. She was with me every step of the way and helped me achieve a beautiful, meaningful, natural birth. And on top of it all, she is a talented photographer and she captured both my pregnancy and my daughter’s birth perfectly. I cannot recommend her enough!
