The cost of a midwife in Grapevine, TX can be influenced by several factors:

  • Type of Midwife

Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) who work in hospital settings may have different pricing than Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs) who attend home births or birth center deliveries.

  • Birth Setting

Hospital births with a midwife typically cost less out-of-pocket when covered by insurance, while home births and birth center deliveries may have different fee structures.

  • Scope of Services

Many midwives offer comprehensive packages that include prenatal visits, labor and delivery support, and postpartum care, which can affect the overall cost.

  • Insurance Coverage

Whether insurance covers the cost of a midwife in Grapevine, TX, depends on your specific insurance plan and the midwife's credentials. Many insurance plans cover midwifery care, especially if the midwife is a certified nurse-midwife (CNM) and works within a hospital or birthing center that is in-network. However, some plans may not cover home births or out-of-network midwives. It's important to contact your insurance provider to verify coverage details, including any pre-authorization requirements, co-pays, or restrictions. Additionally, ask the midwife if they accept your insurance or can assist with submitting claims.

  • Experience and Specialization

Midwives with extensive experience, additional certifications, or specializations such as VBAC support or water birth may charge higher rates.

  • Geographic Location

Midwifery costs can vary based on the cost of living and demand for midwifery services in your specific area.

When considering hiring a midwife in Grapevine, TX, it's advisable to research and interview several midwives to find one who aligns with your birth plan, preferences, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services, insurance acceptance, and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs.

Hi! I am a birth doula serving Tarrant and Parker counties. I specialize in hospital birth, and have experience with high risk moms, as well as moms who have experienced previous birth, medical, or other trauma. I love empowering and educating moms to be able to make their own confident decisions! I believe that birth support isn’t a luxury service. I am able to break my free up into multiple payments, and can accept HSA. I also work with an organization that might be able to provide a doula at no cost to those who qualify. Contact me today to schedule a free consultation to see if I would be a good fit for you!

I found Cynthia in a panic around 36 weeks pregnant, after my original doula didn’t work out. I had accepted the fact that I wouldn’t have a doula & it was probably too late to find someone. Cynthia heard my story and quickly took me under her wing. She helped me with prepping for labor, gave me tools to get the baby in an optimal position, & as a bonus, became a bff to my toddler! This was my first home birthing experience so I was so thankful she was willing to help me. When it came time that I went into labor, Cynthia was quick to be here & assist me. I labored extremely quick & there is no way I could have handled my wild labor without her. She kept me calm & reminded me I could do it & to breath through the contractions. She helped me clear my head space & stay grounded. I will forever be thankful for Cynthia & highly recommend her! If I decide to have more babies, I will definitely be using her again.

Hi everyone! I'm a birth doula located in Melissa, TX and a mom of 3 + a set of fraternal twins. Babies and mamas are my passion and I'm so blessed to have supported and loved on so many in the time I've been doing this. I have assisted births in every setting as well as have had my own babies in a hospital, birthing center and, most recently, at home. My goal is for every mom to learn to trust themselves, trust their bodies and feel confident going into pregnancy, birth and postpartum. If you don't have a village, I'm here to be that for you!

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Sydney as my doula during my VBAC journey! We were initially planning for a repeat C-section, but after hearing a friend’s inspiring story about her home VBAC, I felt motivated to explore other options. A mutual friend connected me with Sydney, and right from our first meeting, the good vibes were undeniable—especially since we shared the same name! It felt like a sign that we were a perfect match. What I really appreciated about Sydney is how real and honest she is. She doesn’t sugarcoat things just to keep you comfortable—she tells you the truth and gives you all the facts, which is so important when planning your birth. Her straightforward approach helped me feel empowered to make informed decisions and commit to my plan for an unmedicated birth. After my previous experience with interventions that led to an unnecessary C-section, I was determined to do things differently this time. Sydney was super responsive to all my questions throughout my pregnancy, which really calmed my nerves. When the big day finally came, Sydney was a total rockstar! Her presence was empowering, and I felt like I could really go for it. After the birth, she came for a home visit, which was such a sweet touch. She brought us thoughtful goodies and shared valuable tips on postpartum care, even though this wasn’t my first rodeo with a newborn.

Keeley was an amazing doula, and I would recommend her without hesitation. She is encouraging, calming, and supportive, providing continuous emotional and physical support throughout labor. She gives it to you straight, advocates for your wishes, and adapts when plans change. She went above and beyond both prenatally and postpartum, checking in regularly to make sure everything was going well. Faith is a big part of who she is, and her presence brought a sense of peace and calm to the delivery room. My husband and I loved having Keeley as our doula, and we are so grateful she was part of our birth experience. Thank you, Keeley, for being there through the long hours as we welcomed our baby into the world.

Hi, I’m Billee - toddler mama + the doula behind Wild and Rooted Birthwork! I believe pregnancy and birth are sacred experiences. I’m not here to tell you how to give birth. I’m here to offer calm, grounded, evidence-based support on you journey into parenthood. Before becoming a doula, I spent over 10 years in the childcare world, supporting children and families in all seasons of life. That experience shapes the way I care for both parents and babies. It taught me how to bring patience, intuition, and respect into the birth space.

Billee is the best things that happened to me and my husband! When I say I couldn’t have done my natural birth without her I’m not lying. From the very first consultation call Billee and I connected so well, her first visit to our house felt like we were talking to a friend and kid you not I think we could have stayed talking for hours! She helped both my husband and I be prepared for labor and it made all the difference. I had a natural birth at the Baylor Dallas Hospital and Billee was with us every step of the way. She has the most beautiful heart and she’s beyond supportive. I will forever brag about her and when I say you need a doula I mean it!! Billee will forever be a huge part of our birth story and will be given all the credit she deserves. I’m so grateful I found her! I will say it again, we could have not been able to do it without her. Thank you Billee for all you did for us!

I’ve always been drawn to birth and babies—what started as childhood curiosity grew into a calling after the birth of my first child. In 2020, I became a certified birth doula, and today I serve families across the Dallas/Fort Worth area with personalized support through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Whether you’re planning a hospital, home, or surrogacy journey, my role is to support your choices and vision—offering practical help, emotional encouragement, and steady, grounded advocacy when it matters most. What makes my care unique is that I’ve experienced birth from multiple sides—I’ve given birth naturally with a midwife and have also served as a surrogate, helping bring a long-awaited baby into the arms of hopeful parents. These experiences give me a deep respect for how personal and sacred birth truly is. When I’m not supporting families, you’ll usually find me baking sourdough, doing something hands-on and “crunchy,” or creating alongside my kids—but at the heart of it all, birth work isn’t just what I do, it’s part of who I am.

Katie at Little Lilacs Birth Services was absolutely incredible! From the very beginning of my pregnancy, she was there to guide me through every step, patiently answering my million questions and offering expert advice that always made me feel supported and confident. She helped us revisit and refresh all the birth techniques we had learned before, giving us the tools and reassurance we needed to achieve another unmedicated birth with confidence. During labor and birth, Katie was calm, attentive, and completely present. Her support went beyond just guidance—she anticipated our needs, encouraged us when we felt unsure, and helped create a birth experience that felt empowering and safe. Beyond her professional expertise, Katie has a warmth and kindness that makes her feel like a lifelong friend. She truly cares about the families she works with and goes above and beyond to make the journey from pregnancy to birth as smooth and joyful as possible. I can’t recommend Katie and Little Lilacs Birth Services enough to anyone looking for a doula who combines knowledge, compassion, and genuine friendship.

Brittney Clay

Packages from $5,000

My philosophy as a midwife is rooted in both extensive personal experience and dedicated education. As a mother of five boys, including two natural births, one of which was born at home, I've lived through the very experiences I now guide others through. This invaluable perspective, combined with my Associate's in Midwifery from the MEAC Accredited Southwest Wisconsin Technical College and a Bachelor's from Texas Tech, has equipped me to serve as a midwife since 2022. I believe in fostering a supportive environment where birthing individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered to make informed choices throughout their pregnancy and birth journey.

Recent review

My pregnancy/birth plus postpartum journey and experience with Brittney has been exceptional. I’m so glad I got connected to her. Brittney is caring, a great listener, flexible, understanding, and overall provided my family and I an excellent service as my midwife. We connected off the rip and I’ve enjoyed our time together; she has truly become someone I feel comfortable turning to if I need anything or have concerns even after our visits have come to a close. After having my baby boy, she was there for me regarding all the questions and concerns I had with her very timely responses. We had great conversations, she provided great suggestions/advice, flexible when appointments had to change, helped me feel in control of my experience and so much more. If you are looking for a midwife to guide you through your pregnancy journey to meet your baby, Brittney Clay is definitely the RIGHT ONE for you! I absolutely love her😭💕

Traci Santangelo

Traci Santangelo

With nearly a decade of experience serving women in the DFW area, BirthPointe stands as a premier women’s health and birth center. Our facility features three exquisitely designed birth suites, and our dedicated certified nurse midwives are here to provide compassionate care. Additionally, we offer monthly educational classes to support and empower women throughout their journey. Traci Santangelo MSN APRN CNM: Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University and started my career working in a local Labor & Delivery Unit. I then married a Yankee (don’t hold it against me), and he moved me to Detroit, Michigan, then to Miami, Florida, and finally to Chicago, Illinois—all for his exciting career. It was at the University of Illinois at Chicago that I received my Master’s in Nursing with a Midwifery designation and developed a deep desire to move back to the Lone Star State. I was tired of being cold! During that time away, I had two children (who have my heart completely), worked in some incredible hospitals as a Labor Nurse, and really developed a desire to serve women. Birth has always been my passion. I love every part of it! From the first positive pregnancy test, to watching a mother hear her baby’s heartbeat for the first time, to hearing that same baby cry at birth—I find all of it exciting and am in constant awe of how perfectly we are made to carry and birth a baby. I am a complete geek when it comes to the physiology of human development and can’t help but talk about developmental milestones because they are fascinating. Why wouldn’t you want to know everything about your baby?! I never tire of it. And I never tire of a woman’s need to feel validated, heard, and respected. You deserve that—you are a woman, for goodness’ sake! It is my great pleasure to serve women such as yourself at this time in your life. I want to give you the very best care I can provide, and I would be honored for the opportunity. Theresa Stryk MSN, APRN, CNM: Theresa grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She moved to Texas to pursue her Biology degree at the University of Dallas, where she also played volleyball. She received her BSN from Texas Woman’s University and worked in Labor & Delivery at Parkland before getting her Master’s in Nursing from Texas Tech University and becoming a CNM. She is married to her wonderful husband, Logan, and they have two daughters, Julie and Helen. Theresa has had the privilege of previously working in a NaProTechnology office, where she gained valuable insights into the remarkable benefits of Fertility Awareness-Based Methods (FABMs) for so many women. Through her experience, she has seen how these methods empower women to understand and manage their reproductive health. At BirthPointe, Theresa is dedicated to continuing her mission of educating others about FABMs, promoting awareness, and supporting women in making informed choices about their fertility.

Hi! My name is Shannon Sappington and I am the owner of Serving Hands Doula! I have been a doula since 2016, providing personalized support and care to my clients during their pregnancy, labor and birth! Before becoming a certified Labor Doula, I achieved a Masters degree in Counseling as well as a teaching certificate in elementary education. I have a nurturing and compassionate spirt and I believe that the best tools I bring into every birth are my heart, my hands and my voice. My goals are to equip you to be ready mentally, physically and emotionally, and to serve you during the journey of your pregnancy, labor and the birth of your baby. Besides being a doula, I love doing life with my husband, our four kids and three dogs! We are an adoptive family - so my husband and I have 3 biological children and 1 through adoption. We love Jesus, laughing, cracking jokes, eating Chinese food, going on trips and also relaxing at home watching a movie. I try to not take life for granted and enjoy the big and the small moments of everyday life. God is my life breath and He is woven all throughout my story.

Shannon is amazing!!!! We loved having her as our doula. She helped both my husband and I through my pregnancy and my very long and hard labor. I set out to have a home birth, but ended up transferring to the hospital and she was there every step of the way. She helped me with my very hard back labor and was just the support my husband and I needed. We will definitely be hiring her again with our next baby!!
