I grew up in a large family and loved watching it grow with more babies. When I had my daughter, I was on Medicaid and wanted someone personal to help guide me through birth and labor. I did not know what a doula was exactly at that time. When I got pregnant with my son, I found myself being a doula for friends and mutual friends of mine virtually(due to Covid). It was not until my doula training that I learned Medicaid covers doulas. I then took the steps to become VA state certified and accept VA Medicaid. 🎯My goal is to provide quality, compassionate, empathetic, evidence based support to women who are more likely to get taken advantage of and neglected.
