With over 25 years of experience in the child care industry, I am deeply passionate about supporting families during the precious early weeks of a newborn's life. In addition to my professional credentials, I bring a positive, can-do attitude to every interaction. I'm an active member of my community, constantly supporting various non-profit organizations and charities. I offer a range of services designed to make your transition into parenthood smoother and more joyful. From setting up the nursery, assisting with first baths, and caring for multiples to providing circumcision care and reflux support. I'm here to develop healthy sleep routines, assist with breastfeeding, and help transition your baby from breast milk to formula. I also offer lactation education, postpartum support, and multicultural postpartum recovery care. As a Certified Newborn Care Specialist, trained by Gentle Ventures Holistic NCS Training and certified through the Newborn Care Specialist Association, a sleep trainer through Summer's Sleep Secrets, and a Certified Postpartum Doula trained through CAPPA. We had a fantastic experience with Elsy. She was very caring with our daughter but most importantly she knew when to push back on the child and the parents to do what's best for the child. Our first daughter took quite a bit of time to get sleep trained, but with Elsy, our second daughter was sleep trained within the first 3 months! We couldn't have found a better over night Doula.

Los Angeles birth doula, Pasadena birth doula, postpartum doula, lactation educator, and childbirth education support for families who want thoughtful, steady care through pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum. I support clients giving birth in hospitals, birth centers, and at home across Los Angeles and Pasadena. My approach is calm, evidence-based, and holistic. I help you sort through options, understand what matters most to you, and prepare for birth in a way that feels clear,, and personal. Families often say they feel calmer, more confident, and more connected when we work together. Rather than focusing on what birth should look like, I help you tune into your own values, preferences, and needs so you can move through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum with more trust in yourself and your choices. In addition to birth and postpartum doula care, I also offer childbirth education and lactation support to help families feel more prepared and supported as they welcome their baby. Hiring Rebecca Belenky was the best decision I made for the births of my children. Rebecca attended two of my births: an unmedicated birth at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena and a home birth. What stands out most to me, aside from her remarkable steadiness and extensive knowledge, was her ability to help me hold boundaries while remaining kind and respectful of the other members of the care team. In the intensity of labor, it can be difficult to stand up for your choices, but Rebecca stayed acutely attuned to my needs and wishes and helped communicate them to the team. Thanks to Rebecca, I had the confidence to focus on myself and my babies, and I had beautiful, joyful birthing experiences. I strongly recommend Rebecca to anyone looking for an calm, attentive, evidence-based advocate.

My family has been lucky enough to partner with AnneLisa during our postpartum journey. She is self proclaimed holistic and that term is just right. At night time, AnneLisa comes to your house and spends time checking in with the Mom and finding out any information about baby. She writes notes about her night with baby and shares with both parents. She ends her service by making a very large breakfast (her oatmeal lasted me at least 3 servings each time). During the daytime, she checks in on Mom again, and that can come as talking, French hair braiding or massage. She can also teach you newborn skills like how to take baby out for a walk, or how to bathe baby. On top of all this, AnneLisa partners with a wonderful woman in the insurance industry who can help you check to see what is covered and even help try and get reimbursements. If you’re looking for a doula, while I can only attest to her postpartum skills, I’m sure she’s amazing as a birth doula as well. I highly recommend working with AnneLisa.

America was everything I could have wanted in a newborn care specialist and more. She made those early weeks feel much lighter by giving us an opportunity to get rest while feeling reassured our baby was in the very best hands. She was careful, communicative, warm, and caring. I’m a first time mom and she also gave me helpful tips while being incredibly respectful. We even had her come back when my son was 6 months old and going through a sleep regression to help us get some rest. She has also stayed in touch and remembered our son’s important milestones long after we ended our time together. She is truly a professional while also having the warmth and kindness any mom would want around their newborn. I cannot recommend her enough!

Hi, I’m Maribel, a DONA International-certified birth doula and birth photographer based in Irvine, serving Orange County and select surrounding communities in South Los Angeles County/South Bay, the western Inland Empire, and North County San Diego. I didn’t always know what a doula was. I found this work because I needed that kind of support myself, and experiencing what it felt like to have someone calm, familiar, and fully in my corner changed the way I understood birth. Eventually, it changed the direction of my work too. Today, I try to offer families that same sense of steadiness and connection. Before labor, we build a relationship and practice tools so the day feels more familiar. During birth, I adapt to what you need: hands-on comfort, positioning, breathing and relaxation, experience with different tools, a softer ambiance for relaxation, partner coaching, and support around informed decisions. I am especially intentional about partners; my role is to support them, not take their place, so they can spend less energy wondering what to do and more energy simply being your partner. After birth, I stay connected with early postpartum care for the families whose births I attend, including emotional, educational, and practical support within my scope. Photography comes from my love of real-life storytelling. Birth is so absorbing that there are parts of your own story you may not get to see while you are living them: the looks, the gestures, or the small moments surrounding the first time you meet your baby. My documentary approach is quiet and unobtrusive, preserving those pieces so you can return to them later. Birth photography may be booked on its own or woven into doula care. My broader full-spectrum doula work also includes standalone abortion support, pregnancy loss, and infant loss support. Eligible doula services may be covered through Medi-Cal or select commercial insurance benefits.

Maribel was an incredible support person for my wife and me throughout every step of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. From the beginning, she brought a calm, reassuring presence and shared a lot of knowledge about pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care. As first-time parents, we had a lot of questions, and Maribel always made us feel comfortable asking anything without judgment. We especially appreciated her support on the day of birth. She arrived while my partner was in labor fully prepared with supplies for comfort measures, including massage rollers and other techniques that helped during labor. She also guided me in how to better support and comfort my partner throughout the process. Maribel had a grounding presence in the room — she observed and supported us through very intense moments without intervening unnecessarily or overstepping. Another gift she gave us was capturing beautiful photos during our time at the hospital. Those moments were so special to us, and we’re so grateful she took the care to capture them. After the birth, Maribel continued to support us by meeting with us to debrief our experience, help us navigate newborn care approaches, and provide breastfeeding support. Those first few weeks at home can feel extremely overwhelming, and having her guidance during that time was very valuable. We would absolutely recommend Maribel to anyone looking for a reliable doula.

I also provide light household support such as washing bottles and pump parts, baby laundry, and keeping the nursery and baby areas organized. My approach is centered around patience, respect, reassurance, and meeting each family where they are. I support parents emotionally as well as practically, offering encouragement and a calm presence during those early days and nights. I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about Caesarine. She was such a blessing to our family during those early postpartum weeks. She cared for Odera at night so I could get some much needed rest, helped me navigate breastfeeding, and, just as importantly, was there for me emotionally. Those first weeks with a new baby can be beautiful and overwhelming all at once, and Caesarine brought such a calming, reassuring presence into our home. She was nurturing, patient, attentive, and always seemed to know exactly what I needed, sometimes before I even knew I needed it. She didn’t just take care of my baby, she took care of me too. That meant more than I can put into words. I will always be grateful for the love, care, and support she gave our family. Any mother would be incredibly fortunate to have Caesarine by her side during such a special and vulnerable season. I recommend her wholeheartedly. ❤️
