I am the Founder and Postpartum Doula behind Healing Touch. Healing Touch was created to support women and their families as they make their journey into parenthood. As a mother myself, I know how having a child transforms who you are, and I am honored to be part of this life-changing process. My desire to become a postpartum doula began after I experienced the struggles that come along with having a newborn. Although the fourth trimester is a very exciting time, it can also be extremely challenging. There was so much I didn’t know, especially around my mental health and what to expect. With my firstborn, my labor and delivery was long and hard, which led me to having certain interventions I didn’t plan on. For the next few months, I had feelings of inadequency and really struggled emotionally. I did not have close family living nearby to help and though it was tough at times, this journey gave me a profound appetite to support others in their postpartum journey.
