Hello! My name is Lindsay. I'm a certified birth and traditional postpartum doula in Utah County and have been supporting families since 2017. I believe pregnancy, birth, and new parenthood are physical events, and also deeply emotional and spiritual ones—a great becoming. Because of this, my work is mother-centered, and blanketed in ritual and ceremony. You deserve to be held and witnessed. When I'm not working with postpartum families, you'll find me spending time with my three children, dreaming about traveling the world, and singing and knitting with my community.

Recent review

We’ve been lucky to have Lindsay as our birth doula for all three of our kids, and most recently as a postpartum doula. I had a hard time understanding why I’d want a postpartum doula with my first two births, but I’m SO glad I went for it this time around! Having Lindsay come over was a highlight of those first few weeks. She came with her arms full of food, teas, cozy cushions, sound bath instruments, etc. Each week she’d bring food that I picked from the menu (all of it was so delicious and nourishing), and would guide me thru whatever session I had chosen (sound bath, gentle movement/stretching, guided meditation, closing of the bones ceremony). She has a very calming energy about her and I just feel at peace when she’s around. She helped around the house while she was here like washing the dishes, sorting and folding laundry, things that pile up in the busy-ness of having a newborn. She is truly a delight to work with and I’m forever grateful that she was here for us during the most important events of our lives.

Birth Your Way maternity services was founded on the importance of providing physical/mental/emotional support, and the knowledge needed to make informed decisions during pregnancy and the labor & delivery process. My goal is to educate, empower, and support mothers, their partners, and even their families, so you feel safe, heard, and confident. As an experienced certified Birth Doula serving families since 2015, I offer personalized support for any gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, age, etc. I am also a certified placenta encapsulation specialist offering placenta services for your postpartum needs.

Recent review

Second time client of Tias! I first used Tia's services 2 years ago where I was successful with my first medicated VBAC birth. As soon as I received my positive pregnancy test with my third baby, I KNEW Tia was going to be hired again! Even my husband, who was first against hiring a doula, was quick to ask if I already contacted Tia when I announced to him our 3rd pregnancy :) Tia did it again! She was the support I knew I needed for this 3rd birth and with her encouragement and belief in me, I was able to have an unmedicated 2VBAC! According to my husband, this is our last baby haha so I wanted to take advantage of Tia's placenta print she offers. I am so happy I decided on that because Tia made us the most beautiful placenta print which incorporated all three of our children. If another baby were to magically happen for me in the future, Tia will OF COURSE be hired again, without a question! And anyone I know in need of support for their births in the future, I will without a doubt recommend Tia. Thank you TIA!!!

Our experience with Liz was truly wonderful! With Liz, you will feel safe, heard, & held through one of the most important moments of your life. When we initially spoke, it was probably 2 minutes into the conversation when we knew she was the right doula. The call ended, my husband & I looked at each other & immediately said, "I LOVED her." Liz laid out everything that we should expect, & did it in a way where we didn't feel judged. Others had tried to convince us that we had unresolved trauma, or had made mistakes in previous births. Liz's trust in us knowing what we needed was so reassuring. During the pregnancy, Liz is there if you need her, checking in to see how appts. went, & getting a feel for your mindset approaching birth. Liz was vital in my ability to remain calm as my due date came, then passed by 9 days! We discussd ways to help encourage labor, different scenarios as 42 weeks approached, & reassurances that my baby & body knew what they were doing. Being a 3rd time mom I really thought I knew it all, but when things went so much longer than we all expected, I was so grateful to have Liz's calm & confident presence. At OBC, Liz arrived exactly when I needed her. She easily fit into the flow of labor offering assistance to me, & guiding my husband to help through contractions. Liz understands when to step to the forefront, & also when to hang back. Her experience & presence in the birthing space made me feel more supported & calm than I had previously. My labor was fast, but I never felt like I lost control. Liz took stunning photos during birth, capturing all of the phases of labor, recovery, & beautiful shots of the baby. The photos will be cherished by our family for the rest of our lives! Liz doesn't disappear after you're done having the baby. She checks in during your recovery at home, & even comes to visit. We loved working with Liz!

I have been so lucky to hire Melissa twice as a doula now and I could not recommend her services enough. She is a wonderful advocate for mothers and truly listened to what I needed. She gave me the space to think about what my needs might be and I don’t think I would have known without her there to ask those questions. She helped prep our whole family in a way where I felt so well cared for. For both of the births Melissa was there for, as soon as she walked in I felt a huge sigh of relief. She was there and she had me and my back and I fully trusted her to guide me. We were also fortunate enough to hire her postpartum doulas! We had the pleasure of working with Veronica, Danielle and Bernadette. Everyone brought different outstanding qualities that were a total joy to experience. They went above and beyond to learn about our families needs and fit right in. I trusted all of them with my postpartum care, cooking meals, giving my husband a break and endless sibling entertainment for my bigger kids so I could snuggle in bed with our new baby. I felt so well supported my body was able to heal physically and I could emotionally take space when needed. There was always round the clock care and they were quick to fill our schedule when I quickly realized I needed more support than I had initially intended. I wish all mothers could experience this kind of care.

I’m a birth and postpartum doula serving families throughout the Baltimore, DC, Southern Pennsylvania, and Southern Maryland areas. My work is rooted in one core belief: when a mother is deeply supported, nurtured, and cared for, she is better able to care for her baby and step into motherhood with confidence and grace. I specialize in supporting mothers through some of the most vulnerable and transformative seasons of life — including high-risk pregnancies, birth trauma, postpartum mood disorders, hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), chronic illness, pregnancy after loss, and complex postpartum recovery. My background in psychiatric rehabilitation counseling allows me to bring a unique understanding of emotional health, nervous system support, and compassionate care into the birth world. My approach is deeply intuitive, trauma-informed, and mother-centered. I believe birth is not just a medical event — it is a life-changing human experience that deserves respect, advocacy, emotional safety, and individualized support. Whether I’m supporting a laboring mother through transition, helping a postpartum mother heal after a cesarean, assisting with feeding challenges, or simply making sure a family feels seen and cared for, my goal is always the same: to “mother the mother.” I offer both birth and postpartum doula services, including overnight and daytime support, prenatal education, emotional support, recovery guidance, feeding support, and practical care for growing families. I am especially passionate about helping women trust themselves again after difficult experiences and creating spaces where mothers feel safe, empowered, and genuinely held. Beyond my work with clients, I’m passionate about maternal mental health advocacy, improving the birth experience for women, and creating honest conversations around motherhood, healing, and the realities of postpartum life. My work combines evidence-based education with warmth, intuition, humor, and deep compassion. At the heart of everything I do is the belief that mothers deserve quality care. My goal as your postpartum doula is to empower you and your family, and to help you to build confidence in your new role as a parent. I will be there for it all... encouraging you and supporting you in your choices and needs as a new parent the entire way.

I'm thrilled to share about the amazing help we received from Kelly Hickman as our sibling support doula. Kelly's commitment and knowledge were truly outstanding. She managed to take care of our older child while also providing invaluable assistance to our birth doula during my wife's home birth. Kelly offered us two home visits prior to the birth of our daughter to answer all of our questions and to spend quality one on one time with our 3 year old son, engaging with him in his favorite activities. She took pictures with him so we could look at them together as a family and talk with him about how his friend Kelly was going to come back and play with him soon when mommy was having his baby sister. She really took the time to bond and form a genuine connection with him, and because of that, he very much looked forward to his time with her when she finally returned for the birth. Her sincere care, attentiveness, and ability to handle multiple tasks made a significant impact during this important time for our family. Kelly's presence provided comfort and reassurance, and her dedication to the well-being of both my children was truly extraordinary. I'm incredibly thankful for her exceptional support and wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone in need of a compassionate and skilled doula.

Jill was a truly remarkable birth and postpartum doula, and the best support we could have asked for through pregnancy, labour, and the early postpartum period. From the start, Jill helped us feel genuinely prepared and confident. Her prenatal support was thoughtful and tailored to our specific plans and preferences, covering everything from labour expectations to newborn care and infant CPR. It felt like a private, customized baby prep course, and because of her guidance, we didn’t feel the need to take any additional classes. During labour, Jill’s presence was exactly right. She gave us space when appropriate but was immediately there when needed. When our labour didn’t unfold as anticipated, she was a calm, steady presence who helped us think through options clearly and confidently during a stressful and unpredictable experience. Postpartum, Jill has continued to be an invaluable resource. She's supported us through the emotional and physical ups and downs of early parenthood with practical advice, reassurance, and effective techniques for settling our little guy. Jill is more expensive than some other doulas—and rightly so. Her experience, time commitment, and depth of care are exceptional. We felt we received incredible value, and it was without question the best investment we made to support ourselves through this major life transition. We couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Working with my Andrea was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy. From our prenatal visits, she brought a sense of calm and reassurance that helped put both my husband and I at ease. During labor, her guidance of comfort measures and steady presence helped me stay focused and confident throughout. She anticipated needs before we had to ask and created a supportive environment for everyone. Even after delivery she stayed with us to make sure I felt comfortable, and cared for in those first moments postpartum.

There are people who do a job, and then there are people who change your life. Dessira is the latter. She entered our lives when our son was born premature and jaundiced. Dessira helped our baby gain weight and, at the same time, provided calm encouragement that helped us become confident parents. That gift is priceless, and I will never forget it. She returned to us when our son was two and stayed until he was six. During those years, she helped us build a nutrition and activity plan. This kept him energized, curious, and challenged--without empty calories or screens. The positive effects of this plan are too many to list here, but the best was his dramatically improved sleep schedule. My son had a mildly rocky transition from nursery school to a TK/K mix to a TK-only class. At the time, I worked 60-70-hour workweeks and cannot overstate the comfort of knowing my son was safe, stimulated, and thriving with Dessira during the day. At night, I was able to be fully present with my son because Dessira handled housework and other distractions that would have taken away from that precious time. She did this without being asked. I'm grateful to her because if she hadn't, I wouldn't have thought of it. Dessira is exceptional with infants and children of all ages. She is calm under pressure because she has a deep well of knowledge and experience to draw from. She prioritizes safety -- the safety of their bodies, of course, and also their minds and hearts. She values imagination and curiosity, and she brings genuine warmth, humor, and fun to every day. Dessira is unique in that she cares for the whole family as a single ecosystem, where the health of all depends on the health of each. She is a wonderful listener, and as she learns what matters to you -- as parents, as people -- she reflects that back to you with encouragement and practical creativity. When I said, "Well, ideally we'd do this, but that's probably unrealistic," her response was, "Maybe so -- but let's talk about it for a minute, just to see." Most of the time, with a bit of creativity and brainstorming, we made it happen. When we didn't, I felt supported and seen, which I found to be equally valuable. It makes a big difference in my life when a smart, energetic person is on my team. I'm better at my job, I'm a better partner, and I'm a better mom. If you are lucky enough to get Dessira in your corner, I am genuinely happy for you and your family to have the kind of support that will enrich your lives.

I have always been fascinated and humbled by the birthing process since working at a Maternity Hospital in Nepal many years ago, when I was a medical student in the UK. It revealed to me how essential compassionate support is during this rite of passage. My passion for women's health and childbirth has never waned, and I come with a deep knowledge of the process from working as a family doctor in the UK, then birthing and bringing up my own three children here in the US. I am privileged to work as a birth doula, an advocate in this space, supporting with empathy and calm, helping women to trust their bodies and to achieve a positive birth experience. I help women to know their own body and its amazing capabilities, to trust it, and, in doing so, to own their birth.

I can't speak highly enough of my experience working with Harriet. With this being my first baby, she helped to educate my husband and me on what to expect during labor and birth and gave me tools to ensure that I had the birth experience that I was hoping for. Her expertise combined with her warmth and kindness gave me confidence and peace leading up to and during labor. Thanks to her, I had a beautiful natural birth at our hospital. She worked alongside the nurses and midwives so gracefully to help me through the hardest thing I have ever done. She continued to follow up after my son was born and offer resources to help with the transition to motherhood. I truly don't know what I would have done without her! Harriet is the BEST!

I highly recommend Esther and her company. She exceeds expectations. She was compassionate, kind, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. Childbirth is a highly personal and important part of your life. Esther was right there for the family to support this precious journey. She was always available and connected us to others in the community, which was helpful. Fun facts 1. She graduated top of her class at a rigorous pre-medical program in high school 2. She also attend University of Miami on a scholarship 3. She is a mother of 4 very healthy boys 4. She speaks multiple languages 5. She has connections all throughout Miami Dade, which is helpful for a new mom 6. She's not just available before and during birth, she is available AFTER birth as well. 7. She has connections to midwives, physicians, and community leaders 8. She will support you throughout the entire birthing process. This is critical. 9. She is highly communicative - if you message her, you will get a response 10. She has a deep understanding of the human body given her background as a UM grad and high school medical program. She is a sweet and kind person as well. Her work has been featured throughout the country, and she is considered an expert in her field. She mentors other doulas and is a successful business woman, but she will still make you feel like a priority despite her busy schedule. You will never feel like a number. In your most intimate moment of life, you want someone who is there for you. Your child is your most important asset, do not leave it to chance. As I close this, I want to mention that Esther understands breastfeeding. Breastfeeding and pumping takes intention, strategy, and planning. Having a doula who is also a breastfeeding expert is extremely helpful and saves money down the line (no formula if that's your desire). As someone who is extremely discerning about services, I whole heartedly recommend Esther and you won't be disappointed.

I’m a DONA certified birth and postpartum doula who blends city grit with grounded, nature-rooted care. My journey began by supporting friends through birth and postpartum while navigating the unpredictable life of a military family. A path that taught me flexibility, compassion, and a deep respect for the strength of parents. Before becoming a doula, I worked as a corrections officer, where I learned to stay calm under pressure and advocate fiercely for others. Today, I bring that same steady confidence to the families I serve through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Once a city girl and now deeply connected to nature, I offer a balance of strength and softness in my work as a birth and postpartum doula, infant sleep consultant, and placenta encapsulation specialist. I also provide traditional belly binding support to promote healing, grounding, and body awareness during the postpartum transition. As a mom to two spirited boys and two lovable fur babies, I know firsthand how messy, magical, and transformative those early days can be. My goal is to walk beside you with knowledge, warmth, and zero judgment. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating postpartum recovery, supporting your body’s healing journey, or finding rhythm and rest with your newborn. I’m honored to support families through every layer of this season- body, mind, and heart.

From our very first phone call, I knew Lindzee and I would get along and work well together. I could not imagine going through labor without Lindzee by my side. When I went into labor, Lindzee came to our home and stayed through the night, helping me progress and supporting me through every stage. Once we went to the hospital, her guidance, encouragement, and gentle push helped me keep going, especially when we worked together to help get my daughter into the right position. Although my labor ultimately did not go the way I had hoped or expected, Lindzee was there every step of the way with love, support, reassurance, and comfort. She helped me feel heard and cared for during some of the hardest moments of my birth experience. One of my favorite memories that I still think about is when I needed a distraction during my long labor, and Lindzee and I ended up playing Tapple while my mom watched us. It was such a simple moment, but it perfectly captures the kind of support she gave me, helping me through the difficult moments while also making me laugh and feel like myself. We bonded throughout my long labor, and I feel incredibly lucky that I gained not only an amazing doula but also a friend through this experience. I will always be grateful for Lindzee and the role she played in bringing my daughter into the world. I truly cannot recommend her enough.

My name is Jessica and I am honored to be considered as your Doula for this monumental time. My work as a Doula is focused on supporting my clients by leading with love and inclusivity, with the belief that we all have various life experiences, and regardless of those, every client of mine deserves to be loved, heard, included, and empowered to stand for their beliefs in and outside of the labor room with a constant, and reliable support. I have a true passion for obtaining and sharing evidence-based information to work with my clients to make a plan for their ideal labor and delivery as well as the postpartum period. Additionally, I equip my clients through prenatal visits and ongoing communication with information about laboring and birthing positions as well as different types of comfort measures and anything else they may need to feel comfortable. I have a strong belief that every birth experience is unique and special, and understand the tenderness of the moment for mom, baby and family. I have always been called to help and care for others. In my life I have been fortunate to experience and learn about pregnancy, labor and postpartum through others experiences before my own experience in birthing my son just under two years ago. Going through the uncertainty, intense emotions and challenges of pregnancy, birth and parenthood has brought me back to my passion of giving back to my community as a Birth Doula. Outside of being a Doula, I love to spend time with my family, traveling, eating good food and exercising outside. I cannot wait to get to know you more! Congrats on your growing family!

Jessica was incredible and absolutely invaluable in my labor/birth experience. She was there for me during my pregnancy and provided many helpful resources to prepare for birth and if she didn't have a recommendation off-hand she would do research & ask other doulas for recommendations which was much appreciated because as a first time mom new to the area I trusted her research and recommendations for things such as local chiropractors and birth classes. Then during my actual labor she was there for me the whole 53 hours. She had prepared a backup doula on-call who was with me for the beginning of my labor and then once Jessica was back from her vacation she immediately came to the hospital to switch out with her backup, showing how much she truly cared about us because she could've just allowed her backup to stay with me during my labor but instead she came and took over! She provided wonderful emotional support and fantastic hands-on physical support. She was also an incredible liaison between us and the staff; advocating for my birth plan/preferences, asking to give me time to make decisions, and giving me trusted counsel based on the suggestions of the hospital staff. I appreciated so much how in tune she was with me and my birth journey, she knew my wishes but also was flexible and pivoted based on the everchanging situations. She also was a great support for my husband and helped guide him through my birth as well. I would definitely recommend Jenssica to anyone in need of a doula and I truly believe she helped make my birth experience as positive as possible even though it was far from my ideal experience due to unforeseen circumstances. So thankful for her genuine care and support!

This is my philosophy: You don’t become a different person when you become pregnant, begin labor, enter your birthing space, or bring your baby home for the first time. You’re still you, having an intense and transformative life experience. As your doula, I take the time to learn who you are and what will help you and your family to feel comfortable, informed, prepared, and ready to engage with your birth, both in advance and through the ever-changing moments of the birth process. I am passionate, flexible, and comforting, but also grounded, no-nonsense, and strongly evidence-based.

First of all, I must commend the Doula Project itself as an invaluable advocate. Sometimes the medical establishment views us within categories--especially when we are unusual as a result of identity--while the Doula Project listens to us as individuals in order to advocate for us to have the birth closest to our ideal within the context of medical wisdom. From the start I really appreciated Vicki's encouraging me to ask questions, to determine what the range of choices was, and to understand the benefits and risks of each decision. In my own case, I did decide because of advanced maternal age and medical advice to have an induced labor. Vicki was there to meet me at the hospital when I checked in, and she made sure that between her and her Doula Project partner on my case, I always had a doula to advocate for me from start to finish, through 27 hours of labor and beyond. Indeed, Vicki took the first photo of my baby, within minutes of her birth! From our first pre-birth meeting, Vicki correctly identified me as a physically fit person who would benefit from maintaining a physically active relationship to my labor and delivery. I brought a yoga mat and pilates ring to the hospital, and Vicki advocated for my being able to use them, even though my baby had to be monitored throughout the induced labor: we set up my yoga and pilates equipment right next to the bed, and Vicki advocated for periodic breaks from the monitor, especially in light of the fact that my baby was doing so well throughout. When I delivered my daughter, I surprised a number of the doctors, including one who thought a C-section would be a foregone conclusion, by delivering vaginally, after only about five minutes of pushing. I am very grateful to Vicki for her steadfast advocacy that led to such a positive birth experience for me and my daughter.

Hello, I’m a new Wisconsinite but I’ve always been passionate about mommas and babies. I was called the “baby whisperer” many times when I babysat or worked in the nursery at my local church. I find joy in serving families, building friendships, and learning more and more how special it is bringing a new little into this world. I am not a mother yet, but I’ve had the privilege to serve some already and it gives me a great sense of accomplishment and builds my desire for myself and my husband to build our family. I eagerly look forward to meeting families and being allowed the privilege to support them in this beautiful, sacred birth of life.

Rebekah is a dear friend and it was such a gift to have her by our side as we welcomed our daughter ❤️ She was calm, confident, and super professional with the hospital staff. She was a steady support as my husband and I slept, walked the halls, and waited for our baby. As my body hit the more intense parts of labor, Rebekah provided incredible massage, hip squeezes, and encouragement when I felt like I couldn't do it. She cheered us on when our daughter came bolting into the world and stayed with us until things grew quiet to make sure our after-birth preferences were honored. I cannot reccomend Rebekah enough!

Hello, friends! I’m Sara-Rene, part time L&D registered nurse and birth doula. As a montrice doula, I am able to help parents labor at home for as long as possible while ensuring the safety of both mom and baby. I am clinically trained to assess baby’s heart rate, vital signs of laboring mom, and perform cervical exams as requested. I work with you and your partner to help ensure the most positive birth experience possible. It is my mission in life to help parents welcome their sweet babies while feeling empowered through labor and birth. Combining my labor nurse and doula experience, I have been a part of over 1,000 births! I have a special passion for VBAC moms as well since my first two children were born via cesarean followed by three successful, unmedicated vaginal deliveries. I help educate with both evidence based research and experience, we will review birth preferences, and I will provide both physical and emotional support during labor, birth, and postpartum.

I honestly don't think that I would have had a VBA2C without Sara-Rene's support. She was so encouraging, knowledgeable, and empowering. I doubted myself so many times and she was always there to listen and gave me the space to make my own decisions. She is calm and was just the right person I needed in my corner. From the beginning she said that my birth would be pretty fast. Having had two previous long labors that resulted in c-sections, I didn't think that would be the case. Much to my surprise, my birth was fast and furious and she jumped straight in to respectfully advocate for me at the hospital and help me cope with the pain. I am so thankful that we decided to hire Sara-Rene and I will forever be thankful for her role in the birth of my last baby.
