Hello Families! I am a full spectrum perinatal care worker specializing in lactation and postpartum doula support. I am certified as a lactation counselor from UCSD and a DONA trained Doula. I believe in providing evidence based care while integrating holistic methods that have been passed down between women for generations. I began working with women and children in 2011 as the Executive Director of The Live Well Project. From there I took my passion abroad and lived in Nepal for 6 months working with local families and learning first hand how they supported birthing mothers. In 2020 I decided to formalize my training in Lactation and then Doula work. I am a San Diego native and have two children of my own (plus a fur baby!) My journey to becoming a mother was not easy. I had two very different and difficult births that taught me a lot about myself and the challenges of childbirth. My first birth was a long and exhausting labor that ended in an emergency cesarean. I felt scared, helpless, and disappointed that I couldn’t have the natural birth I wanted. My second birth was a planned cesarian, I felt unprepared, anxious, and overwhelmed by the intensity of the experience and felt guilty for not trying to deliver naturally. Both of my births left me feeling traumatized and in need of healing. ​ These experiences made me realize that there is a gap in the traditional healthcare system when it comes to supporting mothers during birth. I felt that I didn’t get enough information, education, or emotional support from my providers, and that I had to advocate for myself and my baby. I decided to become a doula to fill that gap and to help other mothers have a better birth experience. As a doula, I offer personalized and continuous support to mothers before, during, and after birth. I help them prepare for their birth, cope with their pain, communicate with their providers, and celebrate their achievements. I want every mother to feel empowered, respected, and joyful during their birth.

My husband and I moved to San Diego in 2013 and never looked back. Our son was born in 2023, so we are currently navigating toddler-hood and all the joys that come with it. I also love dogs, and we lost our very beloved Pug in 2026. I have worked in corporate HR for 10+ years and believe the career transition to being a postpartum doula is exactly what the universe had planned for me. Outside of work (which no longer feels like "work") I love to be outside as much as possible - at parks, beaches, going on long walks, and finding any family friendly events going on around the city. I also love to cook and experiment with new recipes. My family loves to try new restaurants and travel. In a nutshell, we like to do anything and everything that feels like an adventure.
