When my husband and I first found out we were expecting, I started researching birth like a madwoman - determined to leave no stone unturned! I wanted to be prepared, but most of all, I was afraid. I was terrified of the unknown and all the horror stories I had seen on TV and heard from other women. As I educated myself, I became fascinated with birth and the amazing way God has created women's bodies to bring life into the world. My anxieties were soothed; birth didn’t have to be scary and miserable! It can be purposeful and empowering! I was able to experience doula support firsthand as a first-time mom, and the difference it made to have someone who knows birth and what was normal, to hold my hand and apply counterpressure to my aching back, and to encourage and support my husband as well was huge. Shortly after my first birth experience, I started the processs to become a doula myself. During my certification, I was able to aid in several different labors. It was a blessing to be able to learn with these mamas during such a beautiful and intimate part of their lives. Now, I am blessed to walk with women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum pretty consistently, and I can say that there is absolutely nothing like watching women achieve their birth goals together with their husbands. That moment of disbelief, triumph, and sweet relief when baby is born and they realize it is over and they DID IT! I find myself praising God all the more after each experience!

Inspired by my own reproductive journey, I feel called to do birth work in this phase of my life. I have the most wonderful five year old daughter and being her Mom is absolutely the best part of my life, however my journey to her did not come without its challenges. From struggling with pregnancy loss, to a pregnancy that required me to be on full bed rest for my entire third trimester, and ultimately delivering via c-section. I am well versed in needing supportive around the clock care. And most importantly I count that care as one of my biggest blessings. I believe that care is what allowed me to bring a beautiful baby to this world safely and transition to motherhood with confidence.

Hi there! I’m Britt :) I am birth and postpartum doula, prenatal yoga & trauma informed yoga instructor. But before all of that (and most importantly) I am a mama to two incredible sons. My path into birthwork has absolutely been spirit-led and something that I feel so passionately about. Hi! My name is Rebeca Gedeon and I am a certified birth doula located in Weatherford, TX. I love supporting moms in all labor and delivery locations, and with any kind of provider. I've supported over 80 families in my 4 years of serving as a labor doula. My first experience with birth was when my mom delivered my brother under the supervision of a traditional midwife over 24 years ago. I have since had 6 children of my own, and those labors and deliveries fueled my passion for supporting moms. I have personal experience with twins and NICU. I have supported moms through their dream births as well as birth plans that needed adjustment for medically necessary reasons. One of my biggest strengths is supporting mom in what they wish, but also being able to slow down and explain what is going on if plans have to adjust rapidly.
