During those early years, I devoted myself to raising my boys, learning English, embracing a new culture, and building a home for my family. Before moving to the United States, I trained and worked as a midwife in Perú, supporting mothers and babies in both hospitals and private practice. My passion for maternal care has remained close to my heart, and here in Central Florida, I have continued that calling as a doula, childbirth educator, and birth assistant at planned home births. Throughout my journey, I have intentionally pursued specialized certifications and training in physiologic birth, optimal fetal positioning, body mechanics, breastfeeding support, and postpartum wellness. I believe learning never ends, and my goal is to continue growing so I can offer families compassionate, knowledgeable, and evidence-informed support. With approximately 15 years of experience in maternal care, including nearly five years supporting families in Central Florida, I've learned that every pregnancy, every birth, and every family's story is beautifully unique. We are a group of dynamic, experienced, and caring doulas. The doulas of Orlando Birth Support Company work collectively. For our birth doula clients, you will have two birth doulas who fit your location, personality, and style of doula support. One doula will be your primary doula who is expected to attend your labor and birth. If an unexpected circumstance arises, your secondary doula will step in to provide you with the same quality of birth support. Throughout your pregnancy, you will have opportunities to get to know both of your doulas. The team of Orlando Birth Support Company doulas gather regularly to provide community and to level up our skills. We are better able to support our clients because we have the built in support of each other. A supported, rested, happy doula is a doula who can give her best to the families she cares for!
