Hi, I’m Mariela a Certified Birth Doula (DONA), Postpartum Doula, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Newborn Care Specialist, and Childbirth Educator with 19 years of experience supporting mothers, babies, and families. Originally from Argentina and based in Miami, I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese. My experience includes 10 years working in hospital maternity and NICU settings, which allows me to combine professional knowledge with compassionate, personalized care. Being a doula is more than my profession it is truly who I am. I believe every mother deserves to feel heard, respected, supported, and never judged throughout pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and postpartum. My role is to provide evidence-based information, emotional and physical support, and practical guidance while honoring each family’s individual preferences. I want every mother I accompany to feel confident in her decisions, connected to her baby, and supported as she discovers her own strength and intuition. My services include: • Birth doula support • Postpartum and overnight care • Newborn care and parental education • Prenatal and childbirth education • Prenatal breastfeeding preparation • In-home and virtual lactation consultations • Comprehensive mother and baby feeding assessments • Personalized feeding plans and follow-up support As an IBCLC, I am especially passionate about helping mothers and babies build a comfortable and nurturing feeding relationship. I support families with latching difficulties, nipple pain, milk supply concerns, pumping, bottle-feeding, combination feeding, and many other breastfeeding and infant-feeding challenges. Every family’s journey is unique, and my care is always respectful, compassionate, and tailored to your individual needs. I would be honored to accompany you during this beautiful and transformative chapter of your life. I’m so grateful to have had her as my doula! From the very beginning, I felt very comfortable with her, and I always appreciated the consultations and all the knowledge she shared with me. Whenever I had a question or concern, I could send her a message, and she was always so responsive and helpful. Her guidance gave me so much peace of mind, especially during those moments when I wasn’t sure if I was doing things right. Thanks to her support and advice, I also feel that I had a much better experience with breastfeeding and building my milk supply. I highly recommend her to any new mom looking for someone knowledgeable, caring, supportive, and always willing to help.

My passion and dream as a doula is to create a loving environment – whether that be in a hospital or in your own home – that supports you to “birth your own way.” My role is to help you settle into the birthing experience, offer insights, remind you of your divine nature and innate intelligence, trust and support your decisions and to be a witness to you bringing your beautiful soul baby earth-side, as safely and as gentle as possible. I am available for in home customizable support, to provide the ultimate luxurious birthing experience of your dreams. Doulas strive to provide continuous labor support, and studies have shown that when a women has this continuous support there will be a higher rate of a normal vaginal birth, less likely to have pain medication, less negative feelings, and less Cesareans. Labors are also typically shorter and the baby will less likely to have complications at birth. The presence of a Doula can also be helpful in sharing the partner responsibility allowing them to be more at ease, more present to enjoy the wonder of birth I offer 18+ years of bodywork experience that can begin with massage sessions leading up to your due date. Massage in pregnancy has shown to create better sleep, decrease anxiety and depression, aid in fewer complications during labor and have an overall more positive experience during the first few weeks after birth. I feel comfortable in the ebb and flow and view the birthing process as both very physical and spiritual experience.

As a first-time mom and someone who really does not function well without sleep, postpartum was probably what I was most nervous about... (especially after having a necessary C-section!) I interviewed a couple different postpartum care teams and found the Newborn Dream Team immediately made me feel at ease. The first few weeks after giving birth were honestly a lot. Between recovering from my C-section, figuring out life with a newborn, and not having family in town, I was much more anxious and overwhelmed than I expected to be. I cannot thank Danielle, Pamela and Abbey enough for being there for us during that time. They were so helpful in those early weeks, not only with the baby, but with helping us figure out what worked for our family. They answered all of my questions, gave me reassurance when I needed it, and helped me feel more relaxed and confident as a new mom without ever making me feel like I didn't know what I was doing. I was breastfeeding, and they were so supportive of that while also helping us introduce a bottle. They always let us lead with what we felt most comfortable with and never made us feel pressured to do things a certain way. And honestly, being able to get some much-needed sleep knowing our baby was safe and in such good hands was *priceless.* They also helped us establish a really great routine and healthy sleep habits, and our baby was sleeping through the night by five weeks! We will miss Danielle and Pamela SO much, but it makes me so happy knowing they're always in our corner. I truly cannot recommend Newborn Dream Team enough. They made those first few weeks so much easier and more enjoyable, and I am so grateful we found them. 🤍

honestly don’t even know where to begin because words cannot express how grateful I am for Peaceful Passages Birthing Support Center. As a first-time mom, I was excited about having my baby, but I was also terrified of labor and delivery. I had so many questions, fears, and moments when I doubted myself. From our very first conversation, I knew I had found the right team. My doula was absolutely AMAZING! She was patient, compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about me and my baby. I never felt like just another client. She checked on me throughout my pregnancy, answered my endless questions, and helped me feel prepared for something I had never experienced before. But it was during my labor that I truly realized how blessed I was to have her. There were moments when I felt like I couldn’t do it anymore. She never left my side. She held my hand, helped me breathe through contractions, applied counterpressure, encouraged me, and reminded me how strong I was. When things became overwhelming, she was my calm in the middle of everything. She was also incredible with my husband. She guided him on how to support me and made sure he felt included in the entire experience. What really stood out was how knowledgeable and professional she was with the nurses and doctors. She helped me understand my options, encouraged me to ask questions, and made sure I felt heard without ever making me feel pressured. After my baby arrived, the support didn’t just stop. She continued checking on us and making sure I was doing okay physically and emotionally. I genuinely believe my birth experience would have been completely different without Peaceful Passages. This wasn’t just a doula showing up to do a job. This was someone who genuinely cared about me, my baby, and my entire birth experience. If you’re pregnant and wondering whether hiring a doula is worth it, PLEASE do yourself a favor and contact Peaceful Passages Birthing Support Center. I would choose them a thousand times over. They gave me something I will cherish forever: a birth experience where I felt safe, supported, empowered, and never alone.

We had a great experience with Haley caring for our newborn daughter and 2-year-old son. Her medical background and experience working in the NICU were especially reassuring and incredibly helpful, as our daughter was dealing with reflux and feeding issues. Haley was dependable, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and such a wonderful support to our family during what was a stressful and exhausting time. We were so grateful to have her help and expertise, and she gave us so much peace of mind knowing our children were in such capable hands. We cannot recommend Haley enough! Your baby will truly be in the best hands with her.

My name is Samantha Dorleus, and I’m from Miami, Florida. I’m the youngest of my older siblings, and growing up, I’ve always taken on the role of caretaker for my younger cousins. As my older sister and brother had children, it became second nature for me to help care for my nephews. When I found out I was pregnant, I knew I was ready for the journey ahead. Becoming a mother has been the most amazing experience of my life! Watching my daughter grow from a tiny baby in my belly to the beautiful little sunflower she is today has been truly incredible. Now that she’s 5 years old, I know I still have so much to learn as she continues to grow, but I’m beyond grateful to have her in my life. With my extensive experience caring for children since a young age, I’ve worked in after-school programs, summer camps, and preschools since 2015. Caring for children is something I’ve always loved and admired. I am now certified as a Doula and look forward to providing services to elevate and advocate for mothers, especially by offering postpartum/prenatal care. It’s my mission to support women as they navigate this beautiful but sometimes overwhelming journey of motherhood. I’m currently a full-time mom and, in my spare time, I enjoy cooking, crafting, working out, and finding new ways to support my daughter’s growth and development. I also love exploring new foods, with Caribbean cuisine being one of my favorites! I’m excited to offer my services and look forward to being of help to you all.

I can't explain how much having amber as my postpartum doula completely changed my postpartum experience (and my family's ). With my second child we decided to get a postpartum doula because after my first child I had a really difficult time. We now call her our angel. She anticipated what me and my family needed. Offering without imposing. Helping with anything we needed and more. Everyone in my family loves her and she became like part of our family. I can't recommend her enough. She's knowledgeable and kind. I trust her so much and I can't thank her enough.
