My name is Chelsea. I have over 15 years of professional childcare experience, specializing in newborn and infant care. I am a Certified Newborn Care Specialist/ DONA trained Post Partum Doula, and I am CPR certified. I will gladly provide references upon request. During overnight care I help establish healthy sleep and feeding routines, supporting both breastfeeding and formula feeding. I feed, comfort, and soothe baby throughout the night, while assisting with light household tasks of desired/ when possible. I value clear communication , I’m punctual, reliable, gentle, and patient, with a nurturing approach that helps babies feel safe and supported while they learn and grow. Hi there! I am Giselle, a certified labor doula serving the Hudson Valley. I bring over four years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong focus on serving high-priority and vulnerable populations, including individuals living with HIV, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and people from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds. Through this work, I have learned the importance of meeting people with respect, compassion, and cultural humility. I have worked alongside individuals of many backgrounds and religious beliefs, and my Faith has guided me in building genuine connections across differences by leading with empathy, service, and understanding. As a Latina and first-generation American, I deeply understand the importance of education, representation, and support within vulnerable communities. This background allows me to approach birth work with sensitivity, inclusivity, and a commitment to ensuring that every birthing person feels respected, supported, and cared for. I felt called to become a labor doula after the birth of my son. Although my baby and I were healthy, my experience was shaped by an unexpected emergency induction. Throughout my pregnancy, I had taken the time to educate myself and prepare, yet in that moment, much of what I had learned felt difficult to access without steady guidance and support. That experience revealed to me how vital it is to have someone present who can offer reassurance, clarity, and calm during such a vulnerable time. My calling to birth work is rooted not only in my personal experience, but also in my deep desire to serve others. We often hear that it takes a village to raise a child, yet we frequently overlook the importance of supporting the person bringing that child into the world. My purpose is to help support the birthing person emotionally, physically, and informationally, so they feel seen, empowered, and cared for during one of the most transformative moments of their lives. - Others often comment on my professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic qualities that have consistently helped build trust in meaningful and vulnerable moments. I am deeply committed to showing up with consistency, accountability, and care in every role I take on. Throughout my career in patient-focused industries, I have received positive feedback and recognition from multiple supervisors, as well as from spiritual leaders I’ve collaborated with on various projects. This feedback reflects not only my compassionate, client-centered approach, but also my dedication to excellence, follow-through, and long-term impact.

We worked with Kiki from May to July 2022, and she was amazing. She provided full 24/7 newborn and postpartum support, helping with nighttime care, feedings, diapering, soothing, and creating a structured sleep routine. Her attention to detail and thoughtful guidance made us feel confident as new parents. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that Kiki is not available as a long-term nanny. While her postpartum and newborn care is exceptional, she does not provide ongoing daily childcare beyond the support period, which we initially hoped for. Overall, Kiki is professional, trustworthy, and nurturing — a true asset to any family navigating the first months with a newborn.

As a CACHE-Certified Newborn Care Specialist, Certified Postpartum Doula, and Sleep Consultant with over 10 years of childcare experience, I provide knowledgeable, compassionate support to families as they navigate the newborn and postpartum period. My experience with children began in 2015 through volunteer work in Brazil, where I cared for children in orphanages, pediatric cancer hospitals, and low-income daycare centers. After moving to the United States in 2016, I built my professional career primarily around newborn and infant care. In 2022, I completed my Newborn Care Specialist training and have continued to expand my education in newborn care, postpartum support, and infant sleep. Over the years, I have supported families with overnight newborn care, feeding, age-appropriate routines, healthy sleep foundations, and the transition home with a new baby. My experience also includes caring for premature newborns and twins. I understand how vulnerable and overwhelming the early weeks with a newborn can feel, especially while parents are recovering and adjusting to an entirely new rhythm at home. My role is to bring a calm, capable presence into that space. Whether I am caring for a baby overnight so parents can get much-needed rest, helping establish a sustainable routine, or simply providing reassurance and guidance, I tailor my support to the needs of each individual family. I believe excellent newborn care is never one-size-fits-all. I take the time to understand each family’s preferences, parenting philosophy, and goals while providing thoughtful, evidence-based guidance and attentive care for their baby. Families can expect me to be dependable, discreet, organized, and genuinely invested in making the postpartum experience feel more manageable and supported. I am also certified in Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid and remain committed to continuing education and staying current with best practices in newborn and postpartum care. Above all, I want parents to feel confident that while their baby is in my care, they can rest knowing their little one is being cared for with patience, attention, and experience.

This mother of 3 has experienced a lot and I'm here to support you as a birth doula. DONA Certified for Birth and Postpartum support, Certified Lactation Consulting, Certified Childbirth Educator, Reiki certified, Body Ready Method and Spinning Babies Trained for labor prep and comfort measures. As long as I have walked the earth, I have been perceived as a creative to the core, a visual artist, and a classical musician. My BFA in Fashion and Textile Design from FIT helped commit that identity but I was always attracted to helping people and understanding how the body works. A few years later, that curiosity challenged me to enroll in a course that was the complete opposite of what I had always been. I survived, flourished, and was 1 of 7 people to graduate from an intense 40 week program when I became a Certified Surgical Technologist. My graduation coincided with becoming pregnant 3 months later, and 9 months after that I graciously took on my next job, being a mommy! Along the way, I worked on my art, let my CST lapse, picked up my bass to occasionally play in orchestras, and had 2 more babies. My family was my focus but as children got older, I found more flexibility to explore the other facets of myself. I have had the luxury to develop my own body of fine art, play in an international orchestra, and discover the incredible gift of being a doula! My background as an artist and musician has taught me how to improvise and individualize every situation based on essential evidence-based ideals. My focus is to give each family a positive, special birth experience. I utilize professional resources, analogies, images, stories, and humor into our time together. My first support opportunities were with three very gracious young ladies at the Malta House. It was through their need for education that I learned how to teach about childbirth, their right to a beautiful birth experience taught me commitment, and their desire for unwavering companionship taught me how to support. I have since earned additional certifications in lactation consulting, childbirth education, and body preparedness for labor in order to better support women in the perinatal space. I am proud to support women in a variety of environments to help advocate for their desired birth!

Hi there! I'm Chelsea – a wife, stay-at-home parent of two, certified birth and postpartum doula, and babywearing educator based in Connecticut. With over two decades of experience working with children and families, my journey includes a master's degree in education and 11 years of teaching music to students from PreK through grade 12. Having navigated this journey myself, I realized the importance of support during this period. I aim to alleviate the isolation many face by offering guidance and understanding. Having been the first in my friend group to experience parenthood, I understand the complexities and uncertainties. Chelsea was referred to me by a postpartum doula in my first trimester. She was the only birth doula I interviewed because I knew right away that she was the right woman for the job: A no-BS, science-based, level-headed millennial with just the right dose of sarcasm. Ahead of birth, Chelsea visited with me and my husband twice to give us crash courses in labor/delivery, Spinning Baby techniques, and Baby Basics 101 (changing a diaper, installing and using a car seat, swaddling, and babywearing). Thanks to her prep, we felt far less anxious going into labor. At the hospital, it was clear that she has mastered the perfect balance of calm encouragement and strong advocacy with medical providers. She always stays professional, but is never afraid to push back on your behalf. I went through a pretty long and difficult labor but thanks to the support of Chelsea and her colleague Rachel, who joined us for the second half through delivery, I never felt afraid, powerless, or unsafe. After birth, we continued to retain Chelsea's services as long as we could as an overnight/postpartum doula, allowing my husband and I to get much-needed rest as we both went back to work immediately. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chelsea for any doula needs.

Tori was my postpartum doula and we worked with her for over 4 months. It was actually a bittersweet goodbye on her last day and our family is beyond grateful having her in this journey as first time parents. I can’t thank her enough for all the help she’s given us. It could have been worse for my experience hiring a doula for the first time but God is so kind to lead us to her. She helped us with our colicky baby by providing us resources, recommendations (lactation consultations, craniosacral theraphy etc) and every help she gave us was almost always a game changer or aha moments for us. Our baby loves her, even our furpuppy dog Hopper. I’ve seen how compassionate of a mom she is and an advocate of her job as a doula even great at making lactation bites which became my favorite snack! 😁 I would highly recommend her. She is so easy to work with. We’d love to have her again for our 2nd child (God’s willing 🙏🏼) 💕

Monica and Alexis are godsends. We will be begging both of them to work with us again when we have our second child! Alexis was our postpartum daytime doula three days a week. She started with us as soon as our son was born, and we ended up extending her contract an extra month because we (and our son) couldn’t bear to be without her! She treated our baby as if he was her own; she is his favorite person in the whole world. She did a wonderful job providing mental health support to both myself and my husband, all while still somehow finding time to cook us delicious meals! Monica was our overnight newborn care specialist. She gave a great sense of security and relief to our family. She was originally scheduled to start 8 weeks after our son's birth, but we begged her to start sooner and she kindly squeezed us into her busy schedule. As a first-time parent, I really appreciated the countless times she provided me invaluable guidance and encouragement. Her network of fellow doulas, baby chiropractors, IBCLCs, babysitters, etc. have also been very helpful. Overall, I wish I could give them both 10 stars! :-)

Marissa helped us get ready for the arrival of our first baby. We had two meetings before our girl arrived a little earlier then expected. The first meeting was getting to know each other and Marissa gave us tons informative videos we were able to watch and a few social media accounts to follow with very helpful exercises, stretches, and general partner bonding. Marissa encouraged me through the ending of my pregnancy to stay active and hydrated also to practice breath work whenever I had a moment! Marissa was always quick to respond to me or my husband's text messages or calls Even when we had the silliest of questions! She recommended a wonderful book for my husband so that he was as supportive as possible in the delivery room. Our second meeting we went over some of the best positions to be in during labor and my Birth plan. The day that I was induced, Marissa was Incredibly supportive via text message until she was able to get to the hospital. She made sure that we were asking the right questions to our providers to make sure that we were getting all the info we needed to make informed decisions. During labor Marissa was very Helpful in reminding me to breathe and counting for me during contractions. She captured some of the most beautiful photos for my husband and I during this time as well! My birth felt easier because of the suggestions Marissa gave us and the reminds in option I had in each stage of labor and birth!

With over 20 years of experience supporting families across six countries, I bring a deep understanding of the diverse ways cultures nurture parent-child relationships. My journey into birth work began as a Health Community Worker, advocating for immigrant Latino families in New York. Later, while working at a mental health agency in Connecticut, I witnessed firsthand the profound impact that nurturing, consistent, and responsive caregiving has on a child’s development. This realization fueled my passion for family support and led me to become a Birth and Postpartum Doula, ensuring families receive guidance and care from the very start of their parenting journey. Three years ago, I earned my certification in Perinatal Mental Health, allowing me to further support families through the emotional complexities of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Fluent in both Spanish and English, I am dedicated to creating a compassionate and culturally informed space for every family I serve.

Martha brought a level of joy, reassurance and experience to our daughters birth we didn’t even know we needed. Every step of the way through my pregnancy she checked in on me and provided the guidance I needed. Our birth changed pretty rapidly but Martha’s positivity and expertise made the entire experience more enjoyable. We were able to really focus on the birth while she helped guide those around us on decisions we made beforehand. Pregnancy doesn’t just stop after birth, the emotional and physical work continues after you’re home as well. Martha is there by your side through it all! She helped change my postpartum experience immensely, I cannot thank her enough. I will forever recommend The Knitting Doula!
