Hi, I’m Maya Jones a Certified Full Spectrum Doula and Placenta Care Specialist dedicated to supporting you through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My mission is to create safe, empowering experiences for all birthing people—honoring your unique birth preferences, whether natural, medicated, cesarean, or VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). Growing up in East Palo Alto, I was inspired by the strength of my community and the compassion of my grandmother and mother, who were community leaders and nurturers. Their example taught me to lead with advocacy, care, and an unwavering commitment to uplifting others. With over a decade of childcare experience and a passion for birth work sparked in 2017, I founded All Hues LLC in 2023 to provide holistic, personalized care. My comprehensive training in Birth, Loss, and Postpartum Care, alongside certifications in Placenta Encapsulation and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Safety, equips me to meet your needs with evidence-based knowledge, practical tools, and emotional reassurance. I am committed to addressing inequities in perinatal care and providing inclusive, affirming support to all families, especially Black families, families of color, LGBTQ+ families, single parents, and surrogates. Through compassionate guidance, I help you navigate the challenges and joys of parenthood with confidence and ease. Whether you’re looking for birth planning, hands-on labor support, lactation guidance, postpartum recovery care, or placenta encapsulation, my goal is to ensure you feel seen, respected, and cared for every step of the way. Kim is great! We hired Kim as our birth doula and had a wonderful experience. - She's super knowledgeable & experienced-- with her prep sessions, I didn't feel the need to do any additional birth prep classes and I felt informed & empowered going into my birth. - I really trusted her to help us navigate choice and make good decisions that were medically safe & aligned with our preferences. This was a huge stress reliever for me-- it let me avoid sifting through endless info on the internet. - She helped bring my partner in to the birth experience and supported both of us throughout. - She worked flawlessly with the staff at UCSF. Kim felt like a trusted member of our medical team. This was especially nice when hospital shifts changed or when we needed help weighing options. - Her support during the birth itself was exactly what I needed, from physical comfort measures to brainstorming options to emotional support. We had a wonderful birth and Kim's support was a big part of that. Can't recommend her highly enough.

My path to postpartum work began with my own experience as a new mother of twins. I know firsthand what it means to be undone by those early weeks — the exhaustion, the emotion, the strange beauty of it — and I know what a difference it makes to have someone steady beside you. That's what I'm here to offer. For most of human history, new mothers were surrounded by community support for weeks after birth. That's no longer the norm — but it doesn't mean the need has gone away. It just means most families are navigating this time without the help they were always meant to have. My approach is relational, responsive and practical. I bring genuine care, capable hands-on support, and a deep reverence for this time in your life. I believe the postpartum weeks deserve to be more than just survived. With the right support around you, they can be something you look back on with real tenderness. That's what I want for you! I'm a certified postpartum doula trained through Cornerstone Birthwork, a twin mom of 6-year-olds, and someone who finds meaning in the everyday practices that sustain life — good food, unhurried presence, and a little humor when it's needed.

It is with great joy that I recommend our postpartum doula, Kelly Franson, www.daymoondoula.com. We hired Kelly to support our family for three months postpartum as we navigated life with our second child. Kelly began her work with us the day we came home from the hospital. We walked into a home full of flowers, homemade tea blends, beautiful snacks, warm porridge on the stove, and a bedroom prepared for rest and care. Over the days and weeks, Kelly became my companion; she listened as I processed my birth, navigated breastfeeding challenges, and learned how to care for both a toddler and a newborn. I was fragile, and she was steady. She is a creative thinker, helping two sleep-deprived parents find more ease in our home, whether through practical support (how to set up our space more effectively) or more nuanced guidance (how to support our toddler through such a significant transition with the arrival of a new sibling). Other words that come to mind when I think of Kelly are patient, warm, present, reliable, wise, and funny. What better qualities to have alongside you in the postpartum period? With her, I was not alone. Because I now have two postpartum experiences to draw from—one without Kelly, and one (thankfully) with—I can clearly see the tremendous value she brings to the intense and beautiful fourth trimester. Please message me if you have any questions!

I believe every birthing person should have the right to a trauma free birth experience, where their beliefs, values and goals are heard and respected. Birthing bodies are powerful. My goal as a doula is to remind you of the power you hold. I have worked in the medical field for 13 years as a Certified Medical Assistant, Lead Medical Assistant Instructor, recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and gained Certification as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. I am a very motivated and determined person. As a dedicated mother and proud African American woman, my heart is deeply rooted in the wellbeing of our community. The glaring disparities in maternal health that disproportionately affect women of color are not just statistics to me; they are urgent calls to action that resonate with my own experiences and those of my loved ones. I am committed to leveraging my knowledge, resources, and voice to initiate and support sustainable changes within the healthcare system. My goal is to ensure that equitable, high-quality maternal care is not a privilege, but a standard afforded to all mothers, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Through community outreach, advocacy, and education, I strive to contribute to a world where maternal mortality in underserved communities is not a grim expectation but a rare exception. My mission is to fight for a future where every mother’s life is given the value it unequivocally deserves.

Hi everyone, I’m Brittany Maalona, owner and doula with Stork & Sprout, a team-based doula practice serving families throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. While you’ll see my name and photo here, Stork & Sprout is very much a team. Our doulas bring a range of experience, backgrounds, personalities, and specialties to our work, and we support one another so families have a broader circle of care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. We provide birth and postpartum doula support, along with lactation support, bodywork, placenta encapsulation, education, TENS rentals, and other resources for growing families. Our team supports families throughout San Francisco, the Peninsula, East Bay, and North Bay. One of the things I care most about is making doula support feel accessible, dependable, and genuinely relational. We believe families deserve information without judgment, support that respects their choices, and a team they can feel comfortable reaching out to. If you’re looking for support, please feel free to reach out. I’m happy to learn more about what your family is looking for and help connect you with the doula or support option within our team that may be a good fit.

We had such a wonderful experience with the Stork & Sprout North Bay team. From the beginning, Brittany made us feel supported and helped us understand how the team approach worked and what to expect. We also had the opportunity to connect with Juliana, Samantha, and Yohki, and each of them brought something different while still making the care feel consistent and personal. What we appreciated most was knowing we had a whole team behind us rather than feeling like everything depended on one person being available. Everyone was warm, knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely respectful of the kind of birth and postpartum experience we wanted. We never felt pressured or judged, and our questions were always taken seriously. Having local doula support here in the North Bay made such a difference for our family. We would absolutely recommend the Stork & Sprout North Bay team to anyone looking for thoughtful, dependable, and compassionate support during pregnancy, birth, or postpartum.
