Hey there, I’m Kelley Nazarian and I grew up in Montclair, New Jersey. Currently, I reside in Bloomfield, New Jersey with my husband, two children, and our dog. I hold a Bachelors's degree from William Paterson University. I am a certified Postpartum ProDoula, an Infant Feeding Specialist, and a Reiki healer. I carry insurance and I am CPR-certified. As a postpartum doula and a mother myself, my focus is on getting to know my clients well so I can offer the best birth and after-birth services possible for both first-time moms and those who are having their second or third child. Each pregnancy is different. Some moms recover real quick, some moms need time to recover and recharge. This is where I come in. I help my clients build their own toolbox in order to support the value system of their families. I like to start this process during the pre-natal period to make for a smooth transition once the postpartum period has arrived. I offer postpartum support both virtually and in person. I also offer various packages to support all kinds of families and accommodate different needs. I teach Newborn Care classes. I offer bone broth deliveries for new mothers who are replenishing themselves from birth. Lastly, I also support families in times of bereavement and are grieving a loss in any capacity.

When I had my "Little Prince" (Finn), and became involved in the birth world, I realized that I found a calling! Working with families through their pregnancies, and helping them embrace the new phase of life after birth, brings me much joy and satisfaction. I have a creative side, with a passion for photography. I also have a love for travel and exploring the outdoors. My experiences with my boys have made me attune to the struggles one can endure in pregnancy, birth, and the post-partum period. I am a researcher at heart and am extremely resourceful. Although I didn’t know it then, my journey towards becoming a doula began nearly 15 years ago with the birth of my first child. My labor and birth experience was far from empowering and while I was overjoyed to have my son, I always wished things had gone differently- that I had been listened to when I tried to assert myself, that I had been given alternative pain management options when I said I didn’t want an epidural, that the nurses and doctors had explained what they were doing and given me choices before just going ahead and doing it. I always wished that I had felt more in control in that delivery room. Flash forward 14 years to the birth of my second child, and things went exactly as I could have hoped for largely in part due to the team of amazing people I chose to surround myself with. I switched to a Midwife group that took the time to listen to me and honor all of my wishes; I chose a birthing center where I knew I would have plenty of options, but still have the safety and security of a hospital and NICU nearby should something go wrong; and I hired my doula! She made me feel safe, secure, listened to, and protected. She was there as my advocate (though I never had to use her as such because my Midwife was so amazing), she was there as a shoulder to lean on, and she made sure my wife and I had all that we needed during my labor and the birth of my daughter. Between kiddo number one and kiddo number two, a lot happened- 14 years worth of happenings! During that time in-between, I owned and operated Bloom Yoga Fitness Studios in Southington, CT. I taught thousands of hours of yoga- hundreds of them to pregnant clients. And I also became a Licensed Massage Therapist certified in Pregnancy Massage. My personal birth experiences, my decade of yoga teaching, my time as a massage therapist all led me to where I am today. I am now a Birth Doula working with clients in Hartford, New Haven and Middlesex counties. I still teach yoga and perform massage and you’ll see many of my doula offerings include yoga, meditation, and massage. I am an experienced caregiver with over 25 years of experience within traditional family and professional settings. I am currently looking to further my career in caregiving for families, elderly, handicapped persons, or newborns to adolescence. Within my extensive career I have mastered many tasks that families desire when searching for a caregiver. The doula meets with the birthing person and their support person to discuss their prenatal needs, birthing preferences, and birthing environment choices - home birth; birthing center; or hospital. The doula also providers referrals to the appropriate medical personnel (primary care, OBGYN, Midwife, specialists, CLC (certified lactation counselor, IBCLC ( International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), etc) when it is determined that any issue(s) are out of the scope of practice of the doula.
