The cost of a night nanny in Pollock Pines, CA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Pollock Pines, CA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. There are people who do a job, and then there are people who change your life. Dessira is the latter. She entered our lives when our son was born premature and jaundiced. Dessira helped our baby gain weight and, at the same time, provided calm encouragement that helped us become confident parents. That gift is priceless, and I will never forget it. She returned to us when our son was two and stayed until he was six. During those years, she helped us build a nutrition and activity plan. This kept him energized, curious, and challenged--without empty calories or screens. The positive effects of this plan are too many to list here, but the best was his dramatically improved sleep schedule. My son had a mildly rocky transition from nursery school to a TK/K mix to a TK-only class. At the time, I worked 60-70-hour workweeks and cannot overstate the comfort of knowing my son was safe, stimulated, and thriving with Dessira during the day. At night, I was able to be fully present with my son because Dessira handled housework and other distractions that would have taken away from that precious time. She did this without being asked. I'm grateful to her because if she hadn't, I wouldn't have thought of it. Dessira is exceptional with infants and children of all ages. She is calm under pressure because she has a deep well of knowledge and experience to draw from. She prioritizes safety -- the safety of their bodies, of course, and also their minds and hearts. She values imagination and curiosity, and she brings genuine warmth, humor, and fun to every day. Dessira is unique in that she cares for the whole family as a single ecosystem, where the health of all depends on the health of each. She is a wonderful listener, and as she learns what matters to you -- as parents, as people -- she reflects that back to you with encouragement and practical creativity. When I said, "Well, ideally we'd do this, but that's probably unrealistic," her response was, "Maybe so -- but let's talk about it for a minute, just to see." Most of the time, with a bit of creativity and brainstorming, we made it happen. When we didn't, I felt supported and seen, which I found to be equally valuable. It makes a big difference in my life when a smart, energetic person is on my team. I'm better at my job, I'm a better partner, and I'm a better mom. If you are lucky enough to get Dessira in your corner, I am genuinely happy for you and your family to have the kind of support that will enrich your lives.

Working with Shelby was one of the greatest gifts during the birth of our first baby. I truly believe my labor would have been longer and far more overwhelming without her guidance, coaching, and calming presence. She supported not only me, but my husband too, and continued to care for us after birth through postpartum recovery and breastfeeding support. Her guidance helped us feel less alone and more confident in such a life-changing season. We are so grateful for Shelby and the difference she made for our family. She will always be a special part of our story. — Erica, Ilan & Baby Ben 💙

I’m Hailey- a wife, mama to 3 babies, birth doula, and postpartum meal specialist. After an unpleasant hospital birth with my first, I spent months dreaming of becoming a doula. I had such a fire inside me to help other mom’s get the most out of their pregnancy and birth experience, but most of all, to guide them to follow their own intuition. With my nursing baby in tow, I trained with Sierra Childbirth Institute and kicked off my doula journey. Since then, I’ve been having babies of my own, balancing motherhood, and attending home and hospital births. Holding space for women to carry out their birth wishes and helping guide them to follow what truly matters most to them is what drives me in this work. I believe birth is transformative for mothers and babies, a truly sacred event in life that deserves nothing but love and respect the whole way. Connection for me as a doula is extremely important and I don’t take the honor of being in your birth space lightly. While I want to know your birth wishes and guide you through them, I also want to know you as a woman and connect to best serve you during your pregnancy and birth. I’m a lover of all things holistic. I love utilizing things like essential oils and natural herbs. In my personal time I love to work out, try new restaurants with my husband (we’re big foodies!), and bake. I love to garden but usually by August I’ve given up on all my plants! Empowering you in your birth choices as you define them is always my goal when working together. I trust you and your intuition, and that’s what ultimately guides me as a doula. I can’t wait to meet you and walk along side you! ❤️

I am so grateful I found Anita as my doula. She responded quickly to my inquiry through insurance, which meant a lot because I was trying to secure a doula as soon as possible and learn more about the process. From the beginning, she made me feel at ease, calm, and truly understood. She listened to what I wanted for my birth experience and respected my preferences. During labor, Anita was incredibly responsive—always quick to answer texts and calls—and she arrived at the hospital right on time. She was professional, supportive, and fully present throughout the entire process. I had a natural birth, and the pain was intense, but Anita made a huge difference. She used techniques like applying pressure, guiding me into helpful positions, and placing cold towels on my forehead and chest to keep me comfortable. Her support helped me get through one of the most challenging moments of my life. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend Anita to anyone looking for a caring, attentive, and skilled doula.

My goal is to be a calm and steady presence for mothers to feel nurtured, supported, and cared for while they are getting to know their new baby and settling into a new way of life. With a master's degree in clinical nutrition, I focus on creating warm, nourishing meals, snacks, and teas that support healing and recovery during the fourth trimester. I offer in-home meal preparation tailored to postpartum healing, newborn guidance, breastfeeding support, emotional and informational support, and any household support needed to ensure you are able to rest and enjoy your new baby. As a mother of two little boys, I understand how vulnerable and transformative the postpartum season can be— because I've lived it. Even when surrounded by a loving partner, family, and friends, this time can still feel overwhelming and lonely. Through my own journey into motherhood, I feel deeply called to support women as they navigate this new season of life.

Recent review

Having Bridget’s support during my postpartum period was such a blessing for our family. I had a recently turned 2-year-old and a newborn who was extremely colicky, and I was feeling completely overwhelmed trying to manage everything physically and emotionally. Bridget stepped in and helped in so many practical ways that made such a huge difference in my daily life. She helped with household tasks like meal prep, laundry, and caring for the baby so I could shower or get a short nap when I desperately needed rest. She also took the time to help research dairy-free meals and snacks since I needed to eliminate dairy while nursing my baby, which was incredibly helpful during such an exhausting season. She always made sure I had a full water cup as well, which was so important while nursing and one less thing for me to think about during the day. Beyond the practical help, Bridget provided so much emotional and mental support. She regularly checked in on me, asked how I was really doing, and created a safe space where I could honestly share how difficult things felt without ever feeling judged. Her compassion, encouragement, and calm presence made me feel supported during one of the hardest seasons of motherhood. I highly recommend Bridget to any family looking for a postpartum doula. Her support was truly invaluable, and I am so grateful for the care she gave our family.

Hi! I’m Tunisha (Nisha), a passionate certified birth/postpartum doula, mother of three amazing kids. My own experiences with pregnancy and birth taught me just how transformative this time is, and my philosophy is simple: every parent deserves to feel empowered, respected, and safe, no matter how their birth unfolds. Before becoming a professional doula, I was the go-to person for my friends and family, providing hands-on support, encouragement, and care during their pregnancies and early postpartum days. I believe in 'mothering the mother'—offering calm, non-judgmental, and practical support to help you navigate this incredible journey. I would be honored to hold space for you and help you welcome your baby with confidence.

Recent review

Tunisha became my doula when I was 7 months pregnant. Throughout my journey, we had zoom meetings and communicated daily. Tunisha always checked in on me and shared informative resources for my pregnancy. Fast forward to the actual day of giving birth. Tunisha came to the hospital with such positive energy and calmness. She guided me through every contraction by reminding me to focus on my breathing and by pressing on my hips and back (this got me through the pain). During the time of pushing, she spoke out with encouragement and I held on to her voice. She made me believe in my body and what my body was capable of doing. She was my advocate and my rock. Tunisha asked me if I wanted to labor and push in all the different types of positions; I did and I finally found a comfortable position. I gave birth unmedicated and this was an amazing experience. I always felt safe and secure with Tunisha by my side. I am forever grateful for the support of Tunisha.

Well Mama Birth Services was born from my deep desire to create a space where every woman feels seen, heard, and supported throughout her birthing journey. Rooted in a holistic approach to birth, I honor both the physical and emotional experiences, believing that when women are treated with care, respect, and compassion during pregnancy, they birth with strength and grace. Inspired by the legacy of the women in my family who taught me to trust myself, my body, and the sacred process of birth, their wisdom is at the heart of everything I do as a doula. Birth can be unpredictable and raw, but I truly believe YOU. CAN. DO. THIS. Every woman has the innate power to navigate this transformative journey, and my role as your doula is to help you tap into that strength. I am here to stand by your side as you surrender to the experience of birth and trust in your own power. Whether supporting the full spectrum of maternal health—including infant loss, miscarriage, and beyond—being a doula is my lifelong passion.

Recent review

Wendy was an incredible support throughout my home birth journey. Her prenatal guidance was invaluable—she took the time to educate me, answer all my questions, and help me feel truly prepared. Our conversations gave me so much confidence, and she always made me feel heard and supported. During labor, her calming presence and reassuring words kept me grounded. I couldn’t have asked for a better doula to walk this path with me. If you're planning a home birth, I highly recommend Wendy!
