I am a certified birth doula and a postpartum doula based out of Brooklyn. I'm passionate about providing my clients safe, respectful, loving, and equitable care throughout their journey to meeting their new baby. I am here to offer a sense of stability and comfort as I support you through your unique experience whether that's in a hospital setting, birth center, or the comfort of your home. I focus on supporting clients to have all the information and referrals they could need so that they can make informed decisions for what's best for them and their family. I also work to hold a nonjudgmental space of emotional and physical support for you and your partner, if you have one, during labor and delivery. I believe it is every person's right to have an empowered and gentle birth experience and I am here to protect and cultivate that space for you. I aim to prioritize queer and marginalized communities. Please contact me with any questions you may have.

I was so happy to have Ally by my side for the delivery of my son! Our prenatal sessions with super informative and made me feel prepared and confident going in to the birth process. Most of all, I deeply appreciated Ally's peaceful, intuitive, and positive nature throughout my labor. That is exactly what I needed most leading up to and during birth. I have a lot of great memories around my birth, attributed largely to the support and environment that Ally helped create throughout the whole process. I highly recommend hiring Ally as a doula. Their care was so crucial for my family. Our OB and nurses also commented on how nice it was to have them there with us during birth!

Karina McCarthy

I work in homes and virtually as a Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula, dedicated to supporting families during the earliest and most transformative stage of parenthood. My work centers on evidence-based newborn care, sleep shaping/sleep conditioning, feeding support, and creating calm, sustainable routines that help both babies and parents thrive. I believe the postpartum period deserves thoughtful, knowledgeable guidance, and I approach each family with professionalism, discretion, and deep respect for their values. My goal is not only to care for newborns overnight, during the day, and 24/7, but also to empower parents with the confidence and education they need long after my time in their home has ended. I primarily work through the agency Well Supported Family, which provides experienced in-home newborn and postpartum support for families across the United States. Our team includes Newborn Care Specialists, Postpartum Doulas, RNs and LPNs who offer overnight newborn care, daytime postpartum support, and extended care for families adjusting to life with a new baby. Our work focuses on safe sleep practices, feeding support, and helping parents establish sustainable routines so the entire family can rest and recover during the early weeks at home.

Working with Karina during the first months was truly one of the best decisions we made as new parents. From the very first night, we felt calm knowing our baby was in capable, knowledgeable hands. She not only helped us establish a gentle and sustainable sleep routine but also took the time to explain the ‘why’ behind everything, which gave us so much confidence. Our home felt peaceful, our baby was thriving, and we were finally able to rest. We’re incredibly grateful for the professionalism, warmth, and steady guidance during such a vulnerable time!

After having a pregnancy that was not like my first for reasons other than health, I received a postpartum herbal bath from Alexandra. The experience was truly exceptional as the way in which she took her time to curate a bath that was specific to me and my needs was barely the pinnacle of my experience. In moments of uncertainty as a mother, whether it is your first or your third, the care you receive matters. Receiving care from Alexandra is an experience within itself that can only be described within a feeling, one that is sweetened with care and someone who is committed to carrying you to the other of your vulnerability. I recommend her services to others as she is an exceptional individual who is serious about her craft and the care of the children in which she assisted in coming into this world. Again, I can not fully put into words what it is like as you would have to experience her services to understand. I can say within a day I was up and walking, and the aches and pain had vanished seemingly overnight after the bath. Simply plain and put she is passionate and dedicated and will show up for you.

Hi Everyone, I'm Ashley, a Afro-Dominican & Puerto Rican mother to a 15 year old boy and a Certified Full Spectrum Doula and Lactation Counselor. Throughout my career, I have had the honor of supporting over 55 families and counting during their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey, helping them navigate all the transitions of bringing new life into the world. My passion for supporting families during this transformative time began when I experienced the birth of my own child. I realized the profound impact a skilled and compassionate doula can have on ones birthing experience because although I wasn't able to have a doula for my birth, I was able to teach myself and those supporting me the role of a doula during birth, which allowed me to achieve all of my birth goals. Through this passion, I have dedicated myself to supporting families through their pregnancy, birth and postpartum in a way that is personalized, empowering, and non-judgmental. I believe in creating a safe and nurturing space that allows families to make informed decisions and feel supported throughout their process. My approach is grounded in evidence-based research and tailored to the needs of each family. I provide emotional, physical and advocacy support as well as evidence-based education and access to resources you may need to help encourage a positive and fulfilling birth and postpartum experience. I am committed to continuing my education and professional development to ensure that I am providing the most up-to-date and effective care possible. Whether you're planning a home birth, hospital birth, or a birth center delivery and/or you're just looking for postpartum support, I am here to support you every step of the way. I look forward to the opportunity to help you achieve your ideal birth and postpartum experience.

La Belle Doula was founded upon the recognition of the extreme lack of compassion in maternal health care, and it became abundantly clear that this was to be my life’s work. My goal is to empower you by not only providing you with the education and tools needed, but also through being an empathetic support system as you go through this unique journey of your life. I put high values on overall well-being and cater to each woman’s individual needs in order to provide guidance & a shoulder to lean on during this complex and powerful experience. As a Doula, I believe in your vision, I trust in your strength, and I remind you of the power within you because every woman deserves a beautiful beginning and ending.

My husband and I worked with Jennifer the last trimester of my pregnancy. She always made herself accessible for any questions, and we felt very well supported by her. Jennifer was extremely thorough, timely, and compassionate. She was a master at feeding us information at the right time as not to overwhelm us. My husband and I wound up taking a 6 hour birth class a month before our due date, and we felt so well prepared from Jennifer, that the information in the birth class seemed repetitive from what Jennifer had already instilled in us! The day I went into labor, Jennifer was accesible every moment. She was truly an advocate for us and made us feel safe and connected. My husband and I would absolutely recommend Jennifer to any couple looking for doula. My met several, and Jennifer was truly the best of the best. Thank you Jennifer!!
