I believe in the innate strength within every woman, and my role is to guide and empower you, alongside the rest of your birth team, on your unique journey. Hi everyone, for those who are new and don’t know who I am my name is Tawnie and I am a mother of three handsome boys and a wife to an amazing husband going on 13 years. I am a Dona trained birth doula here in the Utah county area. I am accepting new beautiful mamas and would love to meet you. Here is just a few things about me . I am a firm believer in Jesus and I follow where I am being lead. I care deeply with those I come across I don’t believe in coincidences I truly believe we are meant to have a relationship or a connection in some way. Our paths cross with a significant meaning . I love with my whole heart and wear my heart on my sleeve (as most people say). I’ve always had desire for Labor and delivery but to the extent of why and when. The moments to when a friend of mine was delivering her beautiful son , I was there nurturing her, and the little moment of patting her head with a cool cloth was it. It was my moment of emotional connection with women during the most beautiful transition of their story. I have gone through pain of grief in my life that truly has taken me deeper into a true relationship with God and myself. I feel pain when words can not be expressed, I feel love and joy when the words are so exciting nothing can come out. I feel the anxious feeling of the unknown when written in silence. I can’t explain the truth behind it but I know it’s all because God is always working and is calling us to be there for one another. We are not ever meant to do this world alone. We all have stories being written and to be told. I would love to sit along side of you with a helping hand to honor you and nurture you with love and compassion. I would love to see all women have the education and support they need to have their best birth experiences possible! Childbirth, even for experienced mothers, is a vulnerable and intimate time in a person's life and should be treated with with reverence, respect and dignity. It is also a fun and exciting transformation for a family! I am here to witness it all, be by your side, educate, advocate, and help you through the most challenging parts.

Sheali’s journey into midwifery began at the age of sixteen when her mother gave birth to her youngest brother at home. While attending her mom’s prenatal appointments she became fascinated by the personalized care a home birth midwife offered. Hearing her brother’s heartbeat and seeing ultrasounds connected her to pregnancy and birth in a way that absolutely mesmerized her. The experience left a lasting impression and from that moment on, she knew she wanted to become a midwife, and help families experience the same sense of love and empowerment. Sheali’s advice to her patients: You have to find your own way. There will be lots of voices telling you what to do. Birth is a trial run for parenthood, it includes setting boundaries and deciding what you want for yourself and your family. If you don’t feel safe in a hospital, have your baby at home. If you only feel safe in a hospital, that’s where birth will be best for you. A stressed mom makes for a difficult birth… Find an environment and team that puts you at ease and you’ll be setting yourself up for a positive experience! Sheali is currently working with a group of midwives. Clients get the benefit of Sheali's primary care, but the additional support of two additional midwives at the birth. This collaborative approach provides the families she serves with the personalized, relationship-focused care they deserve while also benefiting from the wisdom, and clinical insight that comes from the group's years of hands-on experience.
