Sarrah Hernandez

Kapolei, Hawaii

Sarrah Hernandez

10 years of experience

Hello families! My name is Sarrah Hernandez, and I'm an Ayurvedic birth and postpartum doula and Ayurvedic women's health consultant based in Kapolei, Hawaiʻi. At the heart of my work is a commitment to building meaningful relationships with the women and families I serve. I believe pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood are profound rites of passage and not simply medical events to be managed, but transformative seasons that deserve to be nurtured with presence, knowledge, and compassionate support. My role is to help re-center women in their matrescence journey while serving as a bridge for families seeking care that extends beyond the clinical model and honors the whole person. As an integrative health practitioner, I blend evidence-informed education with traditional wisdom and nurturing practices that have often been lost in modern maternity care. I walk alongside women throughout pregnancy, offering personalized health and wellness guidance, weekly one-on-one prenatal yoga sessions, support as they adapt to the physical, emotional, and identity changes of pregnancy, and family-centered birth and postpartum preparation. After birth, I provide restorative Ayurvedic postpartum care focused on nourishing, protecting, and caring for the mother during the first 45 days as she recovers and transitions into motherhood. I recently moved to Oʻahu in February 2026 with my husband, who was born and raised here, and it is truly an honor to serve the women, babies, and families of Hawaiʻi who resonate with this relationship-centered, holistic model of care.

I have a deep understanding of physiologic birth and ways to support that, as well as a healthy respect for medical interventions when needed. I connect quickly and personally with my clients, support families of all constellations, and am super passionate about providing non-judgemental and trauma-informed support.

You can’t quantify the kind of thing Jenna does. It would be inappropriate to place something like this in any kind of metric so I won’t. Instead I’ll tell you what happened. I’ll try to be brief but I make no promises. Ours is not a new story. Planned for a home birth, ended up transferring to the hospital after 30 hours of labor, finished with an emergency cesarean. What was supposed to be sunshine and rainbows turned into a 4 am car ride and 4 day stay far from home; unfamiliar, unforgiving, unexpected. I’d like to tell you about how great Jenna is for a homebirth but I can’t speak on that. I can say for certain that once we were in the medical system Jenna shed her civilian costume and the cape came out. (For sake of transparency this is metaphor, Jenna does not actually wear a cape, unfortunately…) A doula is a sort of custodian for the birthing experience, or maybe like a steward. Jenna’s familiarity with Mission’s system is beyond reasonable expectation. I mean, she’s on a first name basis with many of the nurses and plenty others I didn’t see. Nobody likes going to a party where they don’t know anybody. It wasn’t like that. It was more like we crashed a party with the most popular kid in school. Things kept happening to our advantage that in retrospect had to be the result of orchestrations behind the scenes. Jenna knows the system well enough to play it. This is not where her skills end. She somehow knows exactly what is needed before it is needed. She knows what we’re feeling before we can say it. She knows what we’re afraid of and knows exactly what we need to hear. Most of all, when the already rough waves got huge, she moved through the water like an Atlantean. We would have drowned without her. When the beeping got louder and the nurses stopped whispering and started shouting Jenna looked at me and told me what was happening. It might have been telepathic, maybe I was just reading her face. When things got blurry and I couldn’t see, I felt Jenna’s hand on my shoulder, it made it easier to breathe. When the love of my life was rushed out and all the nurses and doctors started running and but my legs all of a sudden didn’t work, Jenna got under my arm and carried me. When I was alone waiting to hear if I would be allowed in for the surgery my greatest concern would have been for my wife but the fear was fleeting because I knew that Jenna was in there with her. When they did let me in and handed me this strange naked creature and I didn’t have a single clue what to do and my wife was still unconscious, Jenna was there. Jenna knew what to do. In the following days when our baby was screaming and I couldn’t figure out what he needed, Jenna was on the phone checking in. Now it’s almost 4 weeks since and Jenna was just here, making sure everything was right. I can’t say how great Jenna would have been for our home birth because that didn’t happen. What I can say is that if you want to be prepared for anything, Jenna should be on your team. There are other doulas who offer the same things Jenna offers. There is only one person who can do what Jenna does the way Jenna does it.

I am a native Los Angelino, raised in a bilingual household. I have always had a passion for working with children. While in high school I began volunteering at children’s hospitals, such as Millers Women and Children’s Hospital and LA Children’s Orthopedic Hospital, where I interacted with children suffering life threatening illnesses or challenging physical disabilities. Later, I was President of The Amigos Club, which aimed to bring together students regardless of abilities or neurodivergence during lunch period or after school activities. I even partnered with the Special Olympics to organize an inclusion game of basketball between our cities two rival high schools. These experiences sparked in me the desire to make a difference in the lives of others. After high school I enrolled in college and am a Child Development major. I have worked with children of all different ages in many different capacities; after school program leader, Live-Out Nanny/Babysitter, cheer coach, ABA therapist, and am currently an infant/toddler caretaker and Pre-K substitute teacher. I also help care for my grandmother with Alzheimer’s that lives with me. Most recently, I received my certification as a Postpartum and Infant Care Doula and am now enrolled in the Birthing Doula course. I’m a very nurturing person that connects naturally with others and can kindly and calmly respond to their needs. However, my extensive experience and education has given me the tools to be patient while also being intentional and proactive in order to provide the absolute best care. I am enthusiastic about how I will continue to serve families.

Heidi was absolutely amazing! From our first meeting to the birth, she was incredible helpful and knowledgeable. She provided us with so many helpful tools to get us through the birth and supported us every step of the way. She never made us feel rushed and always gave special attention to our older daughter. She was so great with her which was so helpful! She never overstepped any boundaries and was always there when we needed her. I am beyond grateful that we had Heidi as part of our team for Lily's birth! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula.

When I found out I was expecting, I felt a mix of excitement and anxiety. I knew I wanted support during my pregnancy and birth, but I wasn’t entirely sure what that would look like. After some research, I decided to hire a doula, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. From our first meeting, my doula was a calming presence. She not only helped me prepare emotionally for labor, but also educated me about my options, answered all my questions, and helped me feel more confident in my choices. During labor, she was a steady source of support, guiding me in each choice. Having a doula made my birth experience so much easier and lovely. I felt respected. Thank you for everything ??

Hi, I'm Monica—the heart behind Bloom & Breathe Doula Co. I'm a proud Mexican and Guatemalan woman, born and raised in Southern California, where family, community, and caring for others have always been at the center of my life. At 31 years old, I've spent the last five years working in the field of child development, supporting children and families through some of their most important milestones. That passion naturally led me to birth work, where I discovered my calling: walking alongside growing families with compassionate, evidence-based care during one of life's most transformative seasons. As mom to an energetic, fun-loving, and incredibly kind two-year-old who wholeheartedly believes he's Spider-Man, motherhood has been the greatest gift of my life, and it's given me a deep appreciation for the joys, challenges, and incredible strength that come with raising a child. Happily married to the man who made me a mom and my biggest source of support throughout my pregnancy, labor, and delivery, he stood beside me every step of the way—offering encouragement, reassurance, and unwavering love. Experiencing that kind of support firsthand shaped my understanding of how powerful it is to feel truly seen, cared for, and advocated for during birth. It's one of the reasons I'm so passionate about ensuring every family feels supported in a way that reflects their own needs and values. I believe every parent deserves to feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. As your doula, my role is to provide continuous emotional, physical, and educational support while honoring your unique preferences, values, and birth goals. Whether you're planning an unmedicated birth, an epidural, a scheduled cesarean, a VBAC, or anything in between, I am committed to creating a calm, judgment-free space where you feel confident making informed decisions for yourself and your baby. My approach is deeply personal because no two families are the same. I take the time to understand your hopes, answer your questions, and support you through every stage of your journey. From prenatal preparation and labor support to postpartum care, my goal is to ensure you always feel informed, nurtured, and never alone. For me, being a doula is about so much more than birth—it's about building meaningful relationships and helping families begin this new chapter feeling confident, supported, and deeply cared for. It would be an honor to walk alongside you, celebrate your strength, and help you welcome your little one with peace, confidence, and unwavering support.

We hired Monica as a postpartum mommy helper starting when our baby was 2 weeks old, and she was wonderful to have during those early, overwhelming weeks. Our baby had some digestive issues and was quite fussy, and Monica was very patient and attentive with him, she had so many practical tips and suggestions for soothing him that genuinely made a difference for our whole household. She has clearly worked with a lot of babies and it showed in how calm and confident she was, even during the hard stretches. She was also wonderful with our 3-year-old, who needed extra attention during this transition, and it meant so much to see him looked after with the same warmth and care. We felt so supported having her with us during this time and would recommend her to any family, especially those navigating a fussy or colicky baby. Thank you, Monica!

Hi, I'm Anita Hermosilla (she/her), a Birth Doula, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, and Community Birth Worker based in Austin, Texas. I provide continuous, holistic, evidence-informed support in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, helping families feel empowered, informed, and deeply supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey. My work is rooted in both professional training and lived experience. I immigrated to the United States from Chile without the support of nearby family or a community to lean on. Becoming a mother while navigating a new country profoundly shaped the way I understand birth, healing, and the importance of compassionate support. I am the mother of three children: my oldest daughter was born through an unmedicated vaginal birth, while my twins were born by cesarean birth and spent time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Experiencing both an empowering physiological birth and the unexpected challenges of a surgical birth and NICU journey gave me a unique perspective on the many paths birth can take. These experiences taught me firsthand how important it is to feel heard, respected, and supported—regardless of how your birth unfolds. Every family's journey is different, and I believe every family deserves compassionate, nonjudgmental care. Since 2020, I have been a DONA International-trained Birth Doula with additional training in Rebozo techniques, Placenta Medicine, Sound Healing, and Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Circle Facilitation. My work with Mama Sana Vibrant Woman, serving families throughout Central Texas, has deepened my commitment to reproductive justice, culturally responsive care, and supporting families from diverse backgrounds. Whether you're planning an unmedicated birth, an epidural, a scheduled cesarean, a VBAC, or simply hoping to feel more confident and prepared, my goal is to help you feel safe, informed, and empowered every step of the way. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you welcome your baby into the world.

Her kindness, knowledge, and encouragement gave me the confidence I needed to welcome my daughter into the world

Hi women and families! My name is Isabel Lindsey. I'm a full-spectrum holistic birth and postpartum doula serving Northeast Oklahoma. I'm passionate about preparing the mind, body, and spirit for birth through holistic and evidence-based practices while empowering mothers to trust their intuition and create a birth experience and support team that feels right for them. Honoring mothers throughout the fourth trimester is equally important to me through nourishing meals, light household support, gentle self-care rituals, and responsive, nurturing newborn care during both the daytime and overnight hours. I truly love what I do! In my free time, you'll usually find me making herbal remedies, playing volleyball, or soaking up the sunshine.

Isabel was an incredible support for our family during the early weeks after our baby arrived. She was a huge help with many household tasks that made our days so much easier. She helped keep our home running smoothly by assisting with laundry, dishes, tidying up the kitchen, and making delicious meals. These small but important tasks made a big difference and allowed us to focus more on bonding with our baby and getting the rest we needed. Her willingness to step in and help wherever needed showed how thoughtful and dedicated she is. Beyond the practical help, she brought such a calm and positive energy into our home. We truly appreciated her reliability, kindness, and the way she supported our entire household during such a special but exhausting time. We would absolutely recommend her to any family looking for a caring and dependable postpartum caretaker.

Her passion for childbirth began in her birthing her four children within five years and learning the amazing power of the mind, soul, and body in physiologic birth and thereafter. Becoming a DONA trained Doula has given her the professional skills and resources to help other birthing people and their partner(s) awaken and tune into this power. As your Doula, she is honored to hold space for you and meet you where you are along your reproductive journey. She will provide emotional, informational, and physical support and hold your hand as you learn to advocate for your preferences in what is the most personal and sacred time in your life. By encouraging you to feel confident, fully supported, in control of your choices, and well equipped with the tools and comfort measures, her goal is to help you optimize any path your birth takes. She especially wants to do all she can to educate the community about the power of birth support, increase access to these evidence based services, and work with BBIPOC and trans and queer birthing people who often experience trauma and inequitable care along their gestational journey. As a Latinx Doula, she is a strong proponent of reclaiming and honoring the cultural roots of birthing communities and their traditional practices. Elizabeth is bilingual in Spanish.

Elizabeth is absolutely amazing! We used her for our second pregnancy, which really says it all. After having such a great experience the first time around, there was no question that we wanted her by our side again. She is incredibly responsive, always available to answer questions, and provided guidance and support around the clock throughout the pregnancy. She was a huge help to my wife, but also to me as a husband. Having someone knowledgeable, reassuring, and supportive there whenever we needed her made such a difference. I cannot recommend Elizabeth enough. Whether it’s your first baby or your fourth, I would highly recommend having her in your corner. We are so grateful for everything she did for our family!
