Hi everyone! My experience with birth started with my first birth: my son was born peacefully at home in the water. I fell in love with birth right away, and began taking doula classes. My approach to prenatal, labor, and postpartum care is mother and family centered. I’ve also trained in labor massage, Ayurvedic postpartum nutrition, childbirth education, and as a lactation educator and placenta specialist. My goal is to offer support, assurance, and information to my families at every step of their early parenthood journey. My philosophy and education align best with mamas who are pursuing natural birth and holistic support. I have experience with VBACs, HBACs, and free births.

Working with children and their families has been my life’s work, whether being a center-based teacher or in-home care. My biggest and greatest accomplishment has been becoming a mother to my two boys. Being a postpartum doula and lactation educator is another way to share in these magical times and help families adjust to life with a newborn. Having experienced vastly different prenatal, birth, and postpartum experiences with both of my sons, this lit the passion in me to help others during this time when things can be unexpected. My name is Fable Rodgers-Kurilenko and i've been a practicing Postpartum Doula(and occasional Birth Doula) for nearly two years after a long history with Nannying and being a Daycare teacher. I became a Doula because I longed to become more connected to families and mothers but within the Daycare setting due to conflicts of interest, was un able to do so. I had been interested in doula work since my early teens. My mother even bought me birth books in high school! That's when I left the daycare setting (returning to nannying for a time while I was in school) and got my doula certification. Later that year I began practicing first in births, then I found that my true love was postpartum. Now I am a mother myself as of last year and can truly understand the importance of postpartum care. About Linda I am a Postpartum Doula, a lactation counselor and a Newborn Care Specialist. I care for and support new parents and their families after the birth of their baby/babies. I offer infant care, education and guidance, breastfeeding and bottle feeding support, emotional and educational support, cooking, errands and more. This is a very exciting, yet very overwhelming transition in your life and I will be there to guide you through the first 6-12 weeks. The need for support after birth is great. Many families live very far away from the members of their family that could offer help and guidance. If they do live close, chances are they work or have very busy lives themselves. Many partners have to go back to work after just a couple of days or a week off. Having a postpartum doula reduces the chance of depression and increases your positive nursing experience.
