I am a homebirth midwife and doula. The word Doula means maid servant. The first and most important role of the doula is to serve the laboring woman. When a woman is comfortable, supported, and encouraged she will be able to focus on her work of bringing her baby into this world!
 There is a specific beauty in women supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and post partum. My only desire is to see every woman supported, encouraged, and loved throughout this journey into motherhood. Whether it be for the first time or the tenth! This is not a role to take lightly.
