My experience started in 1997 as a Mother-Baby nurse where I began working with families who were also learning to feed their babies. I knew I wanted to become a lactation consultant after repeatedly watching parents in tears and feeling defeated as they struggled with feeding their infants regardless of their age, education level, or race. I pursued that education and became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2005. I breastfed my four children, but not without my own hiccups! Even though I had some experience and knowledge, each baby was doing it for the first time, and we had to learn how to do it together!

I have naturally delivered eight babies and breastfed each for 22 months, breast to cup. I care for a family farm, homeschool my last two children, and live a faith-based life rooted in holistic health. I have supported my mother and grandmother during their end-of-life transitions and walked beside my daughter through an unassisted miscarriage at 16 weeks, 4 days. These experiences inform my commitment to gentle, informed, and deeply present care for mothers and families through birth, bereavement, and beyond. In my free time I enjoy furthering my education with classes and online learning. I also enjoy traveling, music, farming, cooking and just being with family.
