Hello, I’m Nadine, a Certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula, and mother of two wonderful girls (ages 7 and 9). I believe every family deserves to feel supported, rested, and confident as they welcome a new baby home. I was born and raised in Germany and have lived in the United States with my husband and our daughters for over a decade. My journey through motherhood — and across cultures — has shaped how I approach care: with empathy, understanding, and deep respect for every family’s unique values, traditions, and choices. Becoming a mother myself opened my eyes to how magical, and sometimes overwhelming, those early weeks can be. I remember the joy, the exhaustion, and the constant learning curve. Those experiences inspired me to become a compassionate advocate for new parents - someone who offers calm, unbiased support without judgment. As your postpartum doula, my goal is to create a nurturing space where you can rest, recover, and bond with your baby in your own way. I provide gentle guidance, emotional reassurance, and hands-on help — always honoring your decisions and beliefs as you find your rhythm in this new chapter of parenthood. Every family’s journey is different, and I’m honored to walk beside you with warmth, understanding, and care.

We feel incredibly lucky that we found Nadine to help us during the first six weeks with our newborn. As first-time parents, those early weeks were filled with so many questions and having someone as knowledgeable, caring, and reassuring as her by our side made such a huge difference. From our very first video call to our last night together, she was professional, dependable, and incredibly kind. She had such a calm confidence that immediately put us at ease, but what we appreciated most was how much she respected us as the parents. She always made it clear that she would do whatever we wanted and follow our preferences, while also being there to offer her professional advice whenever we wanted her perspective. She taught us so much during those first few weeks, including how to change diapers, bathe our baby, burp him, take his temperature, soothe him, and so many other little things that we probably wouldn't have figured out nearly as quickly on our own. More than anything, she helped us feel like we were actually capable of doing this whole parenting thing. That confidence was incredibly valuable to us. She was also so flexible and accommodating with our schedule, which we really appreciated as new parents trying to figure everything out day by day. Knowing that she was coming in at night gave us a sense of comfort and peace of mind during a time when everything else felt so new and overwhelming. We call her our night angel! Looking back, we honestly don't know how we would have gotten through those first six weeks without her. We are so grateful for the care she gave our baby and for the support and confidence she gave us as parents. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to any expecting or new parents. We truly couldn't have asked for a better person to help us through those first weeks.

I had Darlene as my doula for my first baby. She was very organized and I appreciated her thoughtfulness and prenatal meetings. She supported me through my transition between midwives and OB care. Postpartum, I utilized her overnight services which was super helpful as a first time mom.

My labor and birthing experience with Jacqi was beyond amazing! Her calm and collected presence is something I’ll continue to be grateful for. I, unfortunately, had somewhat of a traumatic laboring experience due to my high risk pregnancy, and if it wasn’t for Jacqi’s knowledge and calm demeanor I don’t think I would’ve navigated all the medical issues as well as I did. I had my laboring room full of love and support; I had my husband, my sister, mother in law, and Jacqi. With over 36hours of laboring, Jacqi supported me every second. She knew what to do and when. She remembered everything from my birth plan, which was so great, even though my medical situation didn’t allow for some of my preferences to be honored, Jacqi still advocated for the birth experience I envisioned. She was also such a light to have in my room and kept the spirits high with everyone around. She brought snacks, had all the tools to help me labor, and was so so so incredibly emotionally supportive. My first time birthing experience with a traumatic medical condition wasn’t something I could navigate without Jacqi’s involvement! I will 10/10 be working with Jacqi again for my next birth!!

Hi! My name is Katherine (Kate), and I am a certified birth & postpartum doula primarily offering postpartum support. I have a Masters degree in Public Health with a focus Maternal and Child Health Services, and nearly a decade of experience in this work. I first became certified as a doula in 2020, and have since worked in various family serving roles in education, public health, and nonprofit. Through all of my experience, I got to uniquely understand the needs of families and the resources available, always striving towards building a pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting experience for all. When I welcomed my first child, I felt the impact of this work in a whole new way. My own experience seriously rocked my world, and I realized I needed to be back in doula work, directly supporting others going through this amazing and life-changing transformation. We weren’t meant to do this alone. And you don’t have to. I would love to support you during this time, and cheer you on as we figure this out.

Kate has been an indispensable part of my postpartum journey. Her first overnight shift coincided with me experiencing a postpartum hemorrhage. While my husband and I were in the ER navigating this frightening birth complication, we felt at peace knowing our newborn was in more than capable hands. It was a relief not to have to carry the mental load of infant care during such a stressful time. Given her own complex birth story, I felt that Kate could truly understand the curveballs thrown our way and meet them with grace and empathy. One of the biggest milestones of my postpartum journey has been breastfeeding on demand, and Kate played an instrumental role in helping me get there. Since I exclusively pumped and bottle-fed my firstborn, I had little confidence that I’d be able to breastfeed my second baby. Kate’s gentle encouragement, practical lactation tips, and weekly check-ins gave me the confidence and support I needed to keep going. She helped me turn something I wasn’t sure I could do into a meaningful part of my bond with my baby. Early on, I was struck by Kate’s humility. She listened as I processed my anxieties out loud. She gave hand and foot massages with aromatherapy in the comfort of my own home. Her public health experience makes her a great resource for evidence-based guidance and WA state programs. As someone deeply embedded in our local community, she was also a great connector. Kate’s care extended to our home, too. She folded laundry, organized bottles and pump parts, decluttered our living spaces, and prepared comfort foods and nourishing meals. She anticipated my needs without requiring oversight. She’s proactive, observant, and a true self-starter. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kate to any mother looking for compassionate postpartum support.

Fiona Mortensen

Hi, I’m Fiona Mortensen, founder of Little Pines Doula. I’m a certified postpartum doula, student lactation counselor, and a mom to two little boys under two, proudly supporting families throughout the Greater Seattle and Tacoma areas. My passion for birth and postpartum work began during my time as an EMT in King County, where I had the unforgettable experience of helping a mother deliver her sixth baby. That moment opened my eyes to the beauty and privilege of supporting families during such a powerful transition. Since then, I’ve welcomed my own children—first via cesarean and then through a VBAC—experiences that have deepened my appreciation for the importance of informed, compassionate care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. With a background in emergency medicine—including work on a NICU/PICU transport team and as an ER Technician at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital—I bring a steady, grounded presence and a blend of clinical knowledge and heartfelt support to my doula practice. At Little Pines Doula, I offer non-judgmental, personalized care to meet each family’s unique needs. I especially love helping new parents build confidence and connection as they adjust to life with their baby. Outside of doula work, I love exploring new parks with my boys, relaxing at the beach, and enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. At home, you’ll often find me curled up with an embroidery project and my cats, or sharing laughs and playful moments with my family. I believe joy and humor are essential, and I bring a light-hearted, down-to-earth energy into every family I support. I’m also passionate about learning and am always deepening my knowledge in birth, postpartum care, and lactation—not only to better serve my clients, but because I genuinely love continuing to grow. I truly believe the postpartum period can be one of the most beautiful and transformative times in a family’s life. It’s an honor to walk alongside families during this tender season—and to bring warmth, wisdom, and a few smiles along the way.

Having Fiona as my postpartum doula was one of the best decisions we made when preparing for our little guy’s arrival. Fiona guided me through decision paralysis, every question or concern, and exhaustion; she did this with care, grace, compassion and patience. She was very professional (prompt, communicated expectations and boundaries clearly) while being personable. I needed someone just like this while my little family navigated this tender time of postpartum. There was never a moment of doubt or worry with Fiona as our doula. I knew my little dude was in great hands while I rested. I can’t recommend Fiona enough! Our 2 months with her was amazing and made my postpartum journey so much easier and peaceful.

I had a very traumatic birth for my first child. Catholine made this experience so much more memorable and meaningful. Catholine is unmatched in how she holds space and provides comfort. The graceful and confident way that she approaches every single moment is indescribable. She's right there with you and making sure you have every thing that you need and more. She is also amazing at counter pressure and helping you get through it. One contraction, one moment at a time. She provides the love and care that every mom, new or existing, didn't know she needed. Im so overjoyed that I get to look back on this experience and smile. My heart will be forever full. Thank you so much!

I’m a DONA certified birth and postpartum doula who blends city grit with grounded, nature-rooted care. My journey began by supporting friends through birth and postpartum while navigating the unpredictable life of a military family. A path that taught me flexibility, compassion, and a deep respect for the strength of parents. Before becoming a doula, I worked as a corrections officer, where I learned to stay calm under pressure and advocate fiercely for others. Today, I bring that same steady confidence to the families I serve through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Once a city girl and now deeply connected to nature, I offer a balance of strength and softness in my work as a birth and postpartum doula, infant sleep consultant, and placenta encapsulation specialist. I also provide traditional belly binding support to promote healing, grounding, and body awareness during the postpartum transition. As a mom to two spirited boys and two lovable fur babies, I know firsthand how messy, magical, and transformative those early days can be. My goal is to walk beside you with knowledge, warmth, and zero judgment. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating postpartum recovery, supporting your body’s healing journey, or finding rhythm and rest with your newborn. I’m honored to support families through every layer of this season- body, mind, and heart.

From our very first phone call, I knew Lindzee and I would get along and work well together. I could not imagine going through labor without Lindzee by my side. When I went into labor, Lindzee came to our home and stayed through the night, helping me progress and supporting me through every stage. Once we went to the hospital, her guidance, encouragement, and gentle push helped me keep going, especially when we worked together to help get my daughter into the right position. Although my labor ultimately did not go the way I had hoped or expected, Lindzee was there every step of the way with love, support, reassurance, and comfort. She helped me feel heard and cared for during some of the hardest moments of my birth experience. One of my favorite memories that I still think about is when I needed a distraction during my long labor, and Lindzee and I ended up playing Tapple while my mom watched us. It was such a simple moment, but it perfectly captures the kind of support she gave me, helping me through the difficult moments while also making me laugh and feel like myself. We bonded throughout my long labor, and I feel incredibly lucky that I gained not only an amazing doula but also a friend through this experience. I will always be grateful for Lindzee and the role she played in bringing my daughter into the world. I truly cannot recommend her enough.

We’re so grateful to have had Sampaguita's support in our birth experience. From the very beginning, they were incredibly kind and genuine. As a queer and trans family, we felt completely comfortable in the space they created. They were also incredibly knowledgeable and we appreciated the time they took to figure out what was most important to us around the birth, answer our questions, explain our options, and help us feel informed and empowered throughout the process. We always felt heard, respected, and supported. We truly couldn’t have asked for a more compassionate and knowledgeable doula. We’re so grateful for the care they gave us and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for thoughtful, affirming, and genuine support.

Laura was truly a life saver after our baby was born. Baby girl ( was very small when she was born, so the combination of concern about baby's weight/size, breastfeeding troubles, a lot of family stress, and awful postpartum depression made things really tough. Laura swooped in with incredible calm, knowledge, endless support, and a soothing touch, and things suddenly felt a bit more manageable. When Laura arrived, she would somehow see the big picture of "what does this house/family need right now?" and also zoom in on me and baby to make sure we were safe and comfy. The days when Laura was in our home meant I could take a shower, take a nap, have a solid meal--all while trusting that our baby was in excellent hands. Her depth of knowledge about pregnancy, newborns, feeding, safety, and overall health is incredible--and she has so many resources to share--but more than anything else, she made us feel incredibly cared for. I cannot recommend Laura highly enough to help smooth the transition from giving birth into the wild newborn days. Thanks to her, we felt less stress, less exhaustion, less worry, and so much more comfort. She's an amazing doula!

Rae supported us as a doula and birth photographer with the birth of our second daughter at St. Anne's in Burien, WA. Her presence in listening to our previous birthing experience, and our goals for this one, made us feel seen, known and held at each step of the way. Tiffany (birthing person) experienced Rae's care as steady, grounding and affirming, and feels that it helped her stay embodied even amidst intensity. Thomas (birthing partner) felt Rae's responsiveness was stellar, and that her instructions during labor were clear, pracitcal and kind. Rae's photography beautifully captured our perinatal chapter and served to support us in integrating our experience, as well as celebrating and honoring, the arc of our journey.

I’m Maria, and I also go by Mayte. I am a birth and postpartum doula, Medical Assistant, mother, emotional-support practitioner, and founder of Luna Moon Doula. My experience in reproductive healthcare allows me to understand pregnancy and birth from inside the clinical environment. I know how quickly appointments can move, how overwhelming medical language can feel, and how easily a family’s emotional needs can disappear behind procedures, monitors, and decisions. For the past two years, I have also been pursuing the educational pathway toward becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I offer compassionate, evidence-informed breastfeeding and infant-feeding education—from preparing before birth to supporting positioning, latch, milk supply, pumping, and the early feeding ransitions. My approach bridges clinical knowledge with deeply personal, holistic care. Depending on what feels supportive to you, I may incorporate movement, breathing, emotional grounding, visualization, and the calming sound of singing bowls. Bethany is truly such a gem, and I genuinely don’t know what my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience would have looked like without her. I went through my pregnancy without the support of a partner, and having Bethany by my side made such a huge difference in my experience. She was so kind, caring, warm, and genuinely supportive from the very beginning. Having her with me at appointments made me feel like I wasn’t navigating everything alone, and during labor, her presence brought me so much comfort. She supported me, helped advocate for me, and made sure I felt heard and cared for during such an important and vulnerable time. What makes her even more special is that her care never felt like it was simply a job. She genuinely cared about me, my baby, and my family. She was so sweet and loving with my older children and made them feel included and comfortable throughout the experience as well. Even postpartum, she continued to show up with the same warmth and thoughtfulness, whether that was checking in on me, supporting me as a new mom again, or even showing me how to make nourishing meals. I feel like I gained a lifelong friend in Bethany. I will forever be grateful that she was part of this chapter of my life, and I appreciate her more than I could ever fully put into words. Any family lucky enough to have her as their doula is getting someone incredibly special. I cannot recommend her enough.
