We had a wonderful experience working with Camila as our postpartum doula. She is incredibly sweet, sincere, flexible, and supportive. As my due date got closer, she proactively checked in on me and offered help, which made me feel truly cared for. When I was admitted to the hospital, she was consistently available and ready to support us which gives me so much peace of mind. Camila worked beautifully with our entire family, including my mom and my husband. She genuinely cared about our baby, and we always felt very comfortable with her. She brought a warm, calming presence into our home and quickly became someone we trusted. What I appreciated most is that Camila offers guidance from her experience while still respecting each family’s preferences and way of doing things. She gave us helpful advice on sleep routines, bedtime and wake-up routines, swaddling, bathing, breastfeeding, and pumping. When I considered pumping to get more overnight rest, she offered practical guidance. Later, when I had blockages and wanted to return to exclusive breastfeeding, she was 100% supportive and helped me work toward that goal.Camila is also very reliable and punctual. Despite she lives far from us, we never had any issues with timing. She was always flexible, dependable, and easy to communicate with.Beyond her knowledge and professionalism, Camila is simply lovely to be around. She is like a friend to the whole family (she got us the best egg tarts when she heard that I like egg tarts) than just someone helping us postpartum. We truly enjoyed working with her and would highly recommend Camila to any family who has the opportunity to work with her.

We hired Jeremy Anne to help care for our daughter back when she was 9 months. She was with us for about 5 months. She helped with feeding, play, naps, walking development, baby sign, minor housekeeping items and offered advice with caring for a baby. She has a wonderful holistic approach with her support. She cares about ALL family members - humans and pets alike! We loved that she wasn’t a “transactional” kind of person, she really took the time to get to know us, ask good questions and offer personal care support when needed. She also went out of her way for many things. I will always remember how she helped develop healthy boundaries with our dog as we were adjusting to our daughter’s needs. The boundaries helped build a healthy relationship with our baby and fur baby! Our daughter enjoyed being around Jeremy and she misses her I think sometimes. Jeremy was very helpful with helping our baby walk! We keep in touch and recently shared how our little one is walking all over the place now! I wish we could have had more time with Jeremy. She is a blessing, she is so peaceful and calm.

Kayla Cook

Kayla Cook

11 years of experience

My role as a newborn care specialist and postpartum doula is to support parents and provide nurturing, responsive care to infants in their first 4 months of life (age adjusted.) I offer evidence-based care and resources, and help set realistic expectations for those early days with a newborn (or multiple babies.) It’s an honor to help you become more confident in yourself, help you get the rest you need, and support your goals for your family’s life. Whether your priority is setting routines, stretching sleep durations, maximizing your milk supply, or learning the basics of baby care - I’m here to respectfully partner with you along the way. In time, you’ll believe that you know your baby best and you’re what they need the most. Services offered include daytime or overnight newborn care, postpartum support, lactation education, parent instruction on infant safety, developmental milestones, hygiene, sleep shaping, feeding, infant routines, nursery set-up, and recognizing the signs of postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (this is strictly educational.) While I encourage self monitoring and action planning for postpartum mood disorders as early as possible, I do not diagnose or treat any conditions. I am not a licensed medical professional. On a case-by-case basis, I offer sleep coaching (through video, phone call, or in-person consultations), and sleep training (in-person support for no more than 4 nights/days only if an infant is at least 5 months old, and at least 8 hours per night.) Sleep conditioning (in which I support your family in setting a healthy sleep foundation and form sustainable routines) is a complimentary part of my NCS services. In many cases, more rigorous “sleep training” is not necessarily needed. I’m a Safe Sleep Ambassador trained through Cribs for Kids. Please be advised that I strictly adhere to the American Academy of Pediatrics Safe Sleep Recommendations while babies are in my care: this includes placing baby to sleep alone, on their back - on a firm, flat sleep surface that is free of objects - in a crib/pack n’ play/bassinet without bumpers, blankets, pacifier clips, or toys. I support all types of families that follow various traditions, practices, and philosophies without judgement. As a professional and non-family member, it’s especially important I model and adhere to AAP recommendations and evidence-based practices during the time I work.

Kayla is an amazing doula who helped with our newborn twins girls for 5 months. She came 3 nights a week and by the end of the contract the babies were sleeping through the night!! The whole experience was so much better than I even imagined. I was so terrified of sleepless nights with twins while also taking care of our 3 year old during the day. Kayla supported us through all of it, and I cannot be more thankful.

Amy views herself as a trusted partner who is dedicated to helping new parents discover the needs of their individual children and families, while helping to smooth the edges of everyday life with a newborn so you can enjoy this special time.

We absolutely loved having Amy's help during my postpartum period. She was so reliable, helpful, knowledgeable, and a pro. We trusted her wholeheartedly to care for our little newborn. She also was a calming presence that put us at ease from night 1. We appreciated everything she taught us and for the extra sleep she allowed us to get that first month!

We were incredibly fortunate to have Liv care for our daughter from 2 to 3.5 months old. She was consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, treating our baby with so much patience, gentleness, and love. Our daughter has moderate laryngomalacia, which required extra attention and care, and Liv handled it with remarkable compassion and dedication. When our daughter was sick or uncomfortable, Liv would stay up with her, holding her upright for extended periods to help her breathe and rest more comfortably. She always put our baby’s well-being first and never hesitated to go above and beyond to ensure she was cared for. As new parents, it gave us tremendous peace of mind knowing our daughter was in such capable and loving hands overnight. Liv was reliable, nurturing, and attentive to our daughter’s needs, and we always felt confident that she was safe, comforted, and cared for. Beyond her excellent care of our baby, Liv was also supportive and reassuring to us as parents during those early months. Her calm presence, experience, and genuine affection for our daughter made a meaningful difference for our family. We are deeply grateful for everything Liv did for our family and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for a compassionate, trustworthy, and exceptional night doula.

I have a strong energetic pull towards this life changing work, and I am so honored to be pursuing my passion as a birth worker. I love all things birth and feel that my strongest assets are listening, empathy, providing resources and cooking homemade meals for others. I tell all my clients, if there is a birth I am there. With all the stigma and negative depictions in the media surrounding birth, I want to ensure that my clients feel secure in all their decisions without any judgments. This Is Your Body, Your Birth & Only You Get To Make The Decisions That Works Best For You & Your Baby. I have two spirited little ones of my own; ages 4 and 6. My family was extremely fortunate to have Rebecca as an overnight Doula for our infant daughter in her first month. Rebecca brings an extremely calming energy and comes with so much wisdom and compassion. There was never a doubt that our daughter was in experienced and kind hands. She was also able to bring a lot of knowledge that helped us better understand our daughter and gain confidence in these early days as first time parents. I also really appreciated how she was constantly reminding us to give ourselves grace. Rebecca is an excellent partner and any parents would be lucky to have to have her provide care.

"I can not recommend Jenn (Destiny Doula) enough! After having a c-section with my first born I was determined to have a vbac for my second pregnancy and wanted extra support to ensure that my wishes were heard! I started searching for a doula and after chatting with Jenn on the phone I knew she was a perfect fit. I was concerned for my husband when it came time for labor and delivery wanted to be sure that he was also taken care of so I could remain as calm as possible! Jenn is a saint, she listens and understands to what you’re wanting and she knew what to do to help me through labor when I didn’t even know what I needed. I still remember the calming smell of the essential oil she had misting in my room, the dimming of the lights and quieting the beeping machines. She’s like a Mary Poppins; she rolls in with everything needed and is so reassuring without stepping over your wishes at anytime. After 12 hours and vomiting through labor she was there to welcome our baby girl all while documenting it through pictures that I didn’t even realize were being taken. I cannot thank her enough for empowering me and helping me have the birthing experience I desired.

Recent review

Kaila is simply amazing. She was with our family for the first ~15 weeks after our daughter was born (initially for 10 weeks but we loved her so much we extended). As first time parents we were nervous and a little crazed when our little one was born early at 38 weeks - from the moment she entered our home Kaila brought a calming warm energy. Not only was she incredibly sweet with our daughter, she was kind and supportive of us. We had great peace of mind knowing our little one was well cared for at night (and we got much needed rest!). Additionally in her capacity as a certified lactation consultant she gave advice and support, helping us monitor baby’s weight and advising on pumping / increasing supply when we struggled with breastfeeding. Kaila was sweet with our pups as well - she truly became a part of our family. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to help us through our first few months adapting as new parents. We’re more than happy to recommend her to any family looking for a reliable, kind and knowledgeable caretaker!
