I am a CAPPA-trained Postpartum Doula serving families in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am passionate about women’s health, the postpartum period, and helping new parents navigate the transformative journey of welcoming a newborn. My approach is grounded in empathy, warmth, and respect for every family’s unique journey. I strive to provide personalized care, offering evidence-based guidance, hands-on support, and a calm presence when needed. Using intuition, clear communication, and active listening, I balance taking the initiative with stepping back and following your lead. My goal is to help you feel confident, cared for, and empowered as you navigate early parenthood.

I hired Liz to care for my toddler and newborn (prenatally, birth, and postpartum). Needless to say, I couldn’t have done it without her. She is an excellent communicator, very flexible, and approaches this sacred work with warmth and intuition. She always informed me of the details of my baby’s temperament, reactions, feeds, sleep etc, allowing for a smooth handoff. She also provided me with emotional and domestic support - whatever I needed most in that moment. This ability is adapt, along with her knowledge (maternal health, newborn care, toddler development) were evident during every shift. I’m so grateful for the loving connection she’s built with my son—he never wants her to leave! My 9 month old is also getting attached :) 5 stars indeed.

I have been a career nanny in San Francisco for 13 years , I have worked steadily for two families that entire time. Since all 4 kids I have helped raise ( two sets of twins) are all now in school, Doula work seemed like a perfect transition. Last year I got my Postpartum Doula license and this year I have been working on my Lactation Consult Certificate. I try very hard to stay current on all pediatric reccomendations for infant care, I am fully vaccinated , current on infant CPR training and I have pristine reccomendations. I feel as if I have been taking care of babies my whole life first, as an aunt, then mama and now I am loving life as a young and energetic Grammy. I get so much satisfaction helping new parents transition succesfully into their new roles as parents. I have had the privilege of helping my daughter for a month postpartum with both of her births, as my mom helped me. It is an honor when I get to step into that role for parents without access to family. Thank you for your consideration, Julia

Julia came highly recommended from a close friend, and our relationship started as soon as we got pregnant. She helped us plan for the arrival of our baby with recommendations on what to buy and how to set everything up for a smooth transition into parenthood. She was there when we got back from the hospital and became an essential person in our new family, giving me as a new mom the gift of sleep but also a huge emotional support through some of my hardest days! We always knew our baby was safe when he was with her. I don’t know what we would have done without her. We highly recommend Julia as your post partum doula. She will make this new chapter so much better!

I have been working with newborn babies and families for over 20 years. My vast experience has given me the knowledge to understand newborns’ physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs while providing parents with the necessary tools to develop their abilities and skills. I believe that pregnancy, birth, and the transition to parenthood are the most important and transformative times in a person’s life. I am honored to help families make the transition into parenthood as smooth as possible.

Sochild started working with my family almost ten years ago when my daughter, Samantha, was 6 months old. As a first time mom, Sochild was extremely helpful with, well honestly, everything! Although my daughter refused to take a bottle, Sochild was patient and resourceful in making sure she had what she needed to be healthy and safe. And, most importantly, she gave Samantha endless love and gave us endless support. Around the time Samantha was starting preschool, I had a second baby. Sochild stayed with Samantha while I was in the hospital and brought Samantha to meet her baby brother, Julian, for the first time. Sochild helped me take care of Julian from the day he was born until the day he started preschool over two years later. As she did with Samantha, Sochild took amazing care of Julian. We always knew the children would be happy and safe when they were with her. Although Sochild stopped working for us when Julian started pre-school, she would visit with us and our children regularly, so when the pandemic hit, she came back to help us more frequently. In the early days of the pandemic, Sochild worked for us a few hours a day to help keep our stir-crazy kids from going completely insane! And when Samantha started kindergarten remotely, Sochild ran a “pod” for her and three other children. Sochild had all four children all day. She would help them with their virtual school and then have other activities prepared for them – she made her own worksheets and art projects and threw parties for holidays and birthdays. Once school resumed, Sochild once again stopped working for us on a full time basis, but she remained in our lives. She helps out with my children on evening and weekends and holidays – and was particularly helpful during some recent medical issues and surgeries I had. As cliché as it sounds, we consider Sochild part of our family. My children love her to pieces and we know she loves them right back. Nothing makes them happier than when I tell them they get to spend the day with her. She is a dear friend, a wonderful person, and an amazing caregiver. We feel so lucky that we have had her in our lives for the last decade and truly believe that any family would be lucky to work with her.

Hello, I’m Fabiola—a mother of four and proud grandmother of two sweet baby boys. I hold a master’s degree in East-West Psychology, along with certifications in Ecopsychology and Resilience Leadership from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I am also a retired medical social worker with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field. While I had the opportunity to work in many areas of the hospital, the most meaningful and rewarding part of my career was supporting expectant mothers in OBGYN, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. In 2023, I founded my doula practice as a way to bring together my professional experience, educational background, and integrative approach to maternal wellness. My work is centered on supporting the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey.

I highly recommend Fabiola if you are looking for a doula! She agreed to support me even though I reached out very close to my due date. As a first time mom with lots of questions, Fabiola's warmth, knowledge and comforting presence have put me much at ease. Fabiola is very easy to work with, quick to respond and accommodate. We have met both on Zoom and in-person at my home where Fabiola has provided very valuable knowledge about the labor and delivery process, shared wisdom from her previous experiences as a doula and mother, demonstrated breathing techniques and movements to practice before and during labor and supported with creating a birth plan.

Childbirth has always been very intertwined with my life. I owe some of that to my mother, who planned home births for all of her children. I am the oldest of us four, and my labor was long and hard. I grew up hearing the story of the four day marathon of labor, hospital transfer, and, ultimately, the beautiful birth that brought me into the world. My brother was born when I was almost three, on a hot July day. I have some memories of this day, but nothing very clear. My mom remembers me bringing her a cool glass of water between contractions. Some might say I became a doula that day. When I was 6, my mom became pregnant again. I was absolutely thrilled to be having a baby sister. I remember going to midwife appointments at the midwife’s home in Sebastopol, listening to my sister’s heartbeat, and enjoying every moment of it. Her labor started some time during the night. This time, it was Winter. My mom spent most of her labor in front of the woodburning stove in our living room with my dad applying counter pressure to her back. I remember she had thigh high socks to wear specifically for labor, because she didn’t want to wear pants, but knew her legs would be cold. In the early afternoon, she began pushing on our couch. The midwives were always close by, creating a sense of safety and calm, one of them singing as my sister was born. I stood at the end of the couch, and saw my sister’s head slowly emerge, and then the rest of her body slip out. She immediately went to my mom’s chest and crawled to the breast herself. I was entranced by birth at this moment. In the weeks after, I told my mom I wanted to become a midwife. The last baby was born when I was 10 years old. I was again elated to be around pregnancy and looking forward to the birth. My mom labored all through the night, and when the sun rose, her intuition told her she needed to go to the hospital and get some rest. No one thinks that a fourth baby will take 17 hours to be born, but sometimes they do! After my mom got a few hours of rest, my grandparents took us to the hospital to join her. She felt that birth was a family affair, and believed that children should be a part of birth. I also would have been furious with her if I didn’t get to be there. My sister entered the world, and I got to cut the umbilical cord and be the first to hold her after my mom. I took my first doula training with Connie Sultana in 2024 and since then have attended almost 50 births. I am in constant pursuit of knowledge, each birth teaching me something different. I am now a Cornerstone Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula and Evidence Based Birth® instructor. I am always striving to be able to provide the best support I can for my clients. I am currently pursuing becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife. As of 2026, I have completed nursing prerequisite courses, including biology, chemistry anatomy, physiology, and microbiology and look forward to beginning an RN program in Fall of 2026. I use the knowledge I have gained of the human body through my formal education to help inform the support I provide so that my clients can understand what is happening with their body and their baby. For most people, childbirth is the time in their lives where they will be asked to be the most medically literate, which is intimidating for most working outside of healthcare. The education I have has given me the language and tools to communicate and learn from nurses, midwives, and doctors during births, so that I can understand and interpret information for my clients. After becoming a registered nurse, I plan to attend graduate school to obtain my degree and certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife and practice in a hospital based setting.

Maggie is a remarkable human being and Doula! With my planned C-section, I wasn’t sure how a doula would be able to support my experience. Before my son’s birth she provided a whole binder full of helpful resources and an easy template for creating a birthing plan. At the hospital before my surgery she was a wonderful advocate and made sure all my providers were on the same page. Her calming presence, along with the grounding exercises she lead, helped me go into my birth in the right headspace. In the post-op room she was there to help my baby boy get a good latch right away. Breastfeeding has been such a positive experience and I have Maggie to thank for that! I always looked forward to her visits as she is a true baby whisperer. Maggie was super supportive with tasks like nail trimming, pumping, bottle feeding, bathing, and holding the baby so I could tend to myself. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Hello! My name is Lynda Pius, and I am a Certified Postpartum Doula based in the Bay Area, California. My practice focuses on providing a judgment-free space where parents can access both emotional and informational support. In my free time, I enjoy reading to my baby, experimenting with new recipes, and listening to good music.

Having Lynda as my doula was one of the greatest blessings during such a vulnerable and life changing season. From the very beginning, she created a space where I felt safe, heard, and completely supported. Her calm presence reassured me in moments of uncertainty, and her knowledge gave me confidence in every decision I needed to make. She did not just care for me physically, she cared for me emotionally. Lynda took the time to explain things clearly, offered practical guidance, and supported my choices without judgment. That balance of professionalism and compassion made all the difference. What touched me most was the way she extended that same warmth and patience to my daughter. She was gentle, attentive, and genuinely kind, which meant so much to me as a mother. Seeing my child comfortable and cared for while I received support was incredibly reassuring. Because of Lynda, I look back on my experience with gratitude rather than overwhelm. I feel stronger, more confident, and deeply thankful that she was part of our journey. I wholeheartedly recommend her to any mother seeking not just a doula, but a steady and compassionate presence during such an important time.
