Hello everyone, my name is Sarah and I am a doula with a background in Montessori Education, ten years of experience as a teacher and nanny, and special interests in the spiritual dimension of birth and trauma-informed care and mental health and wellness in the inter-partum period. I gave birth to my two precious children in 2022 and 2025, and it was after my first birth that I realized I have an enormous amount of energy for and desire to participate in birth work. There is no doubt in my mind after experiencing it myself that birth belongs to the realm of the sacred. I aim to build a doula practice that helps birthing people cross the profound physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual thresholds during labor that are meant to prepare and initiate them into the new role that awaits them after their child’s birth. My favorite things to do when I’m not busy are doing literally anything with my children, exploring in nature, reading memoirs, writing poetry, and drinking a cup of tea or coffee while petting my kitties in the stillness of the morning before my day begins.

I’m a mom of four—two daughters I had when I was young, and two sons I’ve had in my 30s with my husband, whom I married last year. My journey as a teen mom taught me resilience, the importance of support, and the power of community—lessons I carry with me every day. Family and community are central to my life: I’m connected through our church, and I spend a lot of time with my three sisters, raising our children together, exploring hikes, and finding outdoor adventures. I’ve homeschooled my older daughters from kindergarten through 4th grade, participating in a co-op school and fostering a love of learning along the way. Outside of family, I enjoy volunteering with YoungLives to support teen parents, playing board games, video games and reading. I’ve had a variety of jobs over the years, but the one I’ve enjoyed the most is raising my children—it’s taught me patience, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the small moments that matter most

Hello, I’m currently working toward completing my doula certification, and I’m looking for birthing parents who would be willing to have me support them as one of my first solo clients. The fullness of my life has been centered around children and maternal care and learning about herbs and how they support a natural lifestyle. I have been a childcare provider, prenatal to youth (special needs included for years past 18 years of age), for over 30 years. My decision to become a doula, and eventually to become a midwife, has been in the works throughout my life.
