My name is Vanessa and I’m a mother of two beautiful children & wife to my supportive husband Adam. We have been blessed to have been married 13 years this summer. I have worked with new mothers & newborns for over 14 years mainly in a hospital setting, then was blessed to be able to stay home as I raised my babies, when my daughter started kindergarten I decided to transition out of the hospital setting and got certified as a postpartum doula to be able to support new mothers and newborns in a more holistic way. I truly have a passion for serving and helping others. I believe the postpartum / 4th trimester stage is a crucial one that should be focused on healing, resting, bonding, nourishing, and fully embracing & enjoying those first precious moments with your new bundle of joy. My mission is to support & nurture new mothers so they can feel a weight lifted off as they savor this challenging, but rewarding time with their newborn and family.

After the birth of my second child, I found myself struggling with postpartum depression. Even though I had a good support system, there were many factors at play that left me feeling depressed, anxious, and like I wasn't a good mom.  Thankfully, I was able to receive appropriate care and I was soon feeling better! I felt so incredibly loved and held as I did the work to recover. Because of the wonderful support I experienced from the birth and postpartum world, I decided to transition from my former career of 16 years as a veterinary technician. I am currently in the process of becoming certified as a postpartum doula through CAPPA and I am so excited to continue supporting the new families in my community!

Meredith is a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, certified women’s hormone specialist, cycle + fertility coach, menstruation educator, and mother to three amazing kids, ages 7, 5 and 3. She loves everything about the menstrual cycle–hormones, menstruation, fertility, birth, postpartum, and menopause. After her sister explained what a Doula does, a voice inside of her said, “I was born to do that”. She was in Doula training the next month and she has never looked back. She loves being with families and witnessing their growth and transformation as they move through the birth and postpartum process. Meredith excels at supporting families through natural/unmedicated birth both in and out of the hospital, and a lot of her clients have great results from her support in delaying medication so that it supports their labor rather than hinders it. My name is Jillian Cain and I am so excited to begin my journey as a postpartum doula.
