I have always thought that pregnancy and birth are the most incredible things in the world. While battling infertility the last few years, I found myself feeling a lack of purpose in my life. This led me to birth work and becoming a birth doula. From the fascinating training to the first birth I attended, I knew this was the purpose I was looking for. Meredith is a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, certified women’s hormone specialist, cycle + fertility coach, menstruation educator, and mother to three amazing kids, ages 7, 5 and 3. She loves everything about the menstrual cycle–hormones, menstruation, fertility, birth, postpartum, and menopause. She loves teaching women (and families) how to use their cycle to balance their lives (and their hormones) and accomplish their goals for growing their family, or not. But Birth has a special place in Meredith’s heart. She came to birth work on a Thursday afternoon driving home from her Human Resources job. She was complaining about her job to her sister and her sister’s response was, “you should go be a Doula”. What’s a Doula? After her sister explained what a Doula does, a voice inside of her said, “I was born to do that”. She was in Doula training the next month and she has never looked back. She loves being with families and witnessing their growth and transformation as they move through the birth and postpartum process. Meredith excels at supporting families through natural/unmedicated birth both in and out of the hospital, and a lot of her clients have great results from her support in delaying medication so that it supports their labor rather than hinders it. Hello! My name is Haley, and I am a certified full-spectrum birthworker. I am passionate about supporting all birthing bodies and holding space for life’s big moments. I love being a steady presence and firm advocate for people throughout their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum experiences. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I also focus on providing inclusive care for people of all sexes, gender identities, relationship models, races, and beliefs.   I have always had an interest in the birth world, but for the first 20 years of my life, I was dedicated to pursuing my love for dance. I moved to Salt Lake City from Akron, Ohio in 2018 to get my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ballet from the University of Utah. While I was studying for my degree, I started reading everything I could find about becoming a birthworker. My interest turned into an obsession and after dancing professionally for a year post-grad, I felt ready to take a break from dance and pursue birth work full time!    As your birth support, I lean on my intuition and learned skills to guide me. Entering your space with a regulated nervous system allows me to tap into that intuition and support you to the best of my abilities. I believe that birth is one of the most transformative life experiences and I love helping people prepare for it!   As your postpartum support, I meet you where you are and embrace the unknown with you. Hi, I’m Lindsay! I have 12 years of experience supporting children and families in private homes, including 8 years specializing in newborn care and postpartum support. My experience includes overnight newborn care, infant sleep support, toddler sleep support, bottle/breastfeeding support, and helping families create calm, sustainable routines during the postpartum transition. I take a nurturing, attachment-based approach to care and value responsiveness, emotional connection, and developmentally appropriate support for babies. Hi, I’m Sarah, Full Spectrum Doula and owner of Birthing Brave! I love taking a physiology first approach to interventions, meaning that regardless of what medical support you need (or want) during your birth we are setting up your body for success by optimizing it's natural processes. (This is great for natural minded mamas who want an epidural or need a medical induction). To do that we start prenatally. I offer a full online birth course with a physiology first perspective in hospital settings, and we do the work together to adjust mindsets, clear fears, improve our health and baby's positioning, and prepare for the unknowns (including NICU and C-Section). During your birth, I love supporting physiology regardless of what interventions come our way. This can look anything from helping you into positions with a peanut ball to open the levels of your pelvis while you rest with your epidural, to supporting the natural flow of oxytocin during a labor induction.
