Like everything else, I believe our bodies have been designed perfectly and without flaw, by God. Birth should not be an abnormal, impossible and scary thing, but rather a natural, beautiful and empowering experience. And this is more easily achieved with a Doula at your side reminding you to take care of yourself, advocating for you and your husband, and giving you ways to cope with the intensity of labor.
