While I love being an Stna, State Tested Nurse Aide and Esthetician, I have always been curious about birth and the female anatomy. So, I decided to get certified. I have always had the heart for taking care of people and can't wait to care for you and your family. When I was little, my younger sister and I would pretend like I was the doctor and she was getting ready to have a baby. My sister would go to check ups and I would give her an "ultrasound" and eventually she would birth the baby, a doll put under her shirt, and she would come back with her doll for a postpartum checkup. Since I was a little girl taking care of moms and babies has been my dream. As an SBD certified Doula, I feel honored to be able to share my expertise with women and families around Columbiana, Mahoning, Stark, and Carroll County. I approach birth holistically. I’m a birth and postpartum doula who has worked with infants, young children, and their families for over 20 years. I received my birth doula training through DONA International and my postpartum training and certification through ProDoula. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development, all clearances, and am CPR certified. My path to becoming a doula is a recent one, however I’ve always had a passion for learning about pregnancy, childbirth and newborn care. For much of my career, I have focused on being a preschool teacher in addition to providing private childcare for families in the area. I love being part of all the milestones and celebrations while also being an extra set of hands to help as needed. My goal as a doula is to create a relationship with my clients where they feel supported both physically and emotionally. Hi I’m Tiffany Becton. I’m a Certified Birth Doula. I support women throughout pregnancy and during labor and delivery. I support at home births as well as hospitals. With my services I provide 3 prenatal visits, day of delivery and a postpartum family follow up. I give mom a nesting party to prepare for the baby. Mom receives a gift bag with my No Cramps tea to drink after birth to help with the bleeding and cramping. I also bengkung bind mom the day after delivery to help with posture and prevent diastasis recti.
