I live in OC with my three amazing children! If I’m not at a birth, you will find us at the beach surfing, playing, and enjoying the outdoors. I fell in love with all things birth when I became pregnant with my 1st child in 2008. As an avid reader and researcher, I made it my goal to learn everything I possibly could about the biology and physiology of birth, and how to have optimal health during and after pregnancy for both me and my baby. Like many first-time moms I have worked with, I had hesitations about giving birth to my 1st baby outside of a hospital setting. After all my research, classes, and conversations with midwives, I gained confidence in aiming for an unmedicated birthing experience. I found some lovely midwifes who had a midwifery ward in a hospital and gave birth to my 1st son unmedicated. Twenty-four hours of intense back labor from a posterior-positioned baby …but, I did it! My body actually did it! After birthing my first, statistically knowing it was the most challenging and longest labor, gave me confidence to choose home births for my second and third children. I had a successful home water birth with my second child and wanted to repeat that with my third. However, while laboring on the toilet with him, I suddenly dropped to my knees when he began to crown, and he became known as my bathroom floor “butter birth” baby :). Though I chose unmedicated births for myself, I do know it is not for everyone, which is more than OK! I quickly learned from my role as a doula that every woman’s body, medical history, and background are uniquely different. Many factors play into choosing the right birth for you. I am here to come alongside you, help you make an informed decision, and then support you every step of the way. I offer very personable and compassionate care. My approach is non-agenda-based, trauma-informed, and holistic-minded. No matter your history or past experiences, I am here to be a safe place for you. I will help educate, support, and advocate for you and your personal wishes. I look forward getting to know you and building a trusting relationship to where you feel 100% comfortable having me by your side for one of the biggest days of your life. 🙂 I am here for you! I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience with Ali. From the very beginning of my pregnancy, she was an incredible source of support, guidance, and reassurance. She always offered thoughtful advice and helped us understand our options, while never making us feel like there was a “right” way to do things. She respected our choices and allowed us to lead the way throughout the entire process. What stood out most to me was how genuinely she listened. I always felt heard, supported, and completely free of judgment. Pregnancy and birth can bring so many emotions and stressful moments, and she has such a calm, reassuring presence. She communicates clearly and effectively, even when things feel overwhelming, and always seems to know when to offer guidance and when simply to be there and listen. She was consistently available when we needed her, and knowing we had someone so caring, knowledgeable, and dependable in our corner gave me tremendous peace of mind. Her support made such a meaningful difference throughout my pregnancy and birth experience. I am incredibly grateful that she was part of this journey with us and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any expecting mother or family looking for someone who will truly listen, support, advocate, and walk alongside them every step of the way. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough!

Our experience with Melanie was nothing short of exceptional. Melanie was our NCS from the day our son was born until 6 months of age. She truly operated as the Lead NCS for our household, setting the standard for everyone else and ensuring that everything ran seamlessly. Her level of organization was outstanding. Melanie was always proactive about keeping me informed on anything that needed restocking and made sure our home was consistently well prepared and fully supplied. Melanie’s commitment to hygiene and safety was a huge stand out for us. She maintained the highest standards of cleanliness in caring for our newborn and was incredibly diligent about safe sleep practices at all times, which gave us real peace of mind. Every night, she provided thoughtful, consistent updates so we always knew exactly how our son was doing. Melanie also took the initiative to organize and coordinate the nightly schedule between myself and the other staff, ensuring everyone was aligned and that care was consistent. All of our son’s feeding, sleeping, and changing items were always perfectly organized and ready, making everything feel effortless. Beyond technical skills, Melanie brought a level of professionalism and leadership that elevated our entire household. She truly ran a well-managed, attentive, and calm environment for our son, and we are incredibly grateful for the care and structure she provided during such an important time. We hope to have her back for baby #2!

I’m a community-based birth worker and maternal health advocate with a deep commitment to supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey with care that is informed, calm, and centered on dignity. My work is rooted in both lived experience and years of supporting families through community initiatives focused on maternal wellness and emotional support. I also lead a maternal mental health initiative that brings mothers together in meaningful ways which build connection, healing, and shared knowledge across generations. I am especially passionate about improving birth outcomes and ensuring families feel informed, respected, and supported in every decision they make. My approach to birth is grounded in trust in the body, education, and advocacy which help parents feel safe, seen, and empowered no matter how their birth unfolds. I bring strong skills in emotional support, birth preparation education, and continuity of care, along with experience working in community settings that center Black maternal health and holistic, culturally responsive care. My goal is always to hold space where families feel both protected and empowered as they step into parenthood. Outside of birth work, I bring a warm, down-to-earth energy and love finding joy in the small things, whether that’s roller skating, music that sets the mood, or laughter that makes a hard day feel lighter. I believe joy is part of healing too, and I try to carry that into every space I’m in.

Carla is a true God send! I'm so grateful to have found her. I was searching for a doula because I needed someone to go into the labor/delivery room and advocate for me should things not go as planned. With her help and guidance, I was able to labor successfully at home, managing my own pain, and she was right there with me to welcome my little one into the world. After leaving the hospital, I struggled tremendously with breastfeeding. She knew how important it was to me so she wouldn't let me give up. Thanks to her wisdom and helpful tips, I successfully nursed my little one for a yr and a half! Thank you again!!

ANGELINA, we have already made it clear to you. You have already went to yelp. We have reviewed your reviews., you go around making bad reviews because at a snap of a finger, one time visit we could not make due to an emergency induction for another mom. Out of 300 births, you are the only person who has ever tried to hurt my business the way you have. I personally feel that you have to heal in your postpartum that’s a priority to me versus my feelings at this point I have parted ways with you for more than one reason this is a public platform and I will not disclose any of your personal information. I did an absolutely fantastic job as doula , I did not ask you to write a review on this website, you made flaws claims and accusations about contracts. I have never made anyone sign. You made false claims about me not being communicative with you about a postpartum visit. You made false claims in regards to my professional professionalism. I helped watch your sweet baby boy while you were able to have a successful delivery. I have treated your family with absolute respect. But one thing I will not tolerate about my business as false accusation.. I will not move forward with any type of care in the future, and we have parted ways.

Vida is a Latina-owned business based in Riverside County, California, proudly serving families throughout the Inland Empire and surrounding communities. As a bilingual provider, I am passionate about offering compassionate, culturally sensitive care in both English and Spanish, ensuring that every woman feels understood, respected, and genuinely supported—without language barriers. With years of hands-on experience in Labor & Delivery and Emergency Care, I have witnessed both the incredible beauty of childbirth and the challenges women face when navigating the healthcare system. Throughout my nursing career, I have cared for women during some of their most vulnerable and empowering moments. I have also witnessed too many mothers enter the delivery room feeling overwhelmed, unprepared, unheard, or uncertain about their choices. I knew I wanted to be part of changing that experience. That passion is what inspired me to create Vida Birth Support.💗 My vision was to build something that goes beyond traditional birth support—a place where education, advocacy, compassion, and empowerment come together to help women take an active role in their birth experience. At Vida, our mission is simple yet powerful: **To empower women through education, advocacy, and personalized support so they can approach childbirth feeling confident, informed, respected, and supported.** ✨ **Education Is Empowerment** We offer comprehensive childbirth education classes designed to help expectant mothers and their families understand the incredible changes happening throughout pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Our classes focus on understanding the stages of labor, pain management options, medical interventions, recognizing potential complications, understanding patient rights, and learning how to communicate effectively with the healthcare team. I believe that when a woman understands her body, her options, and her rights, she becomes better equipped to make informed decisions for herself and her baby. ✨ **Compassionate Doula Support** In addition to education, Vida provides personalized birth and postpartum doula services centered on emotional reassurance, physical comfort, encouragement, and continuous support. Our goal is to create an environment where mothers feel safe, respected, and empowered throughout their journey. Whether you're preparing for your first birth or welcoming another little blessing, our team is here to walk beside you, provide guidance, and help ensure your voice is heard. ✨ **A Mission Close to My Heart** As a Latina woman, a mother, and a nurse, this work is deeply personal to me. I understand the importance of having someone by your side who not only understands the medical aspects of childbirth but also recognizes the emotional, cultural, and personal significance of bringing a new life into the world. I am especially passionate about helping bridge the gaps in maternal healthcare and advocating for women who may feel overlooked, intimidated, or unheard. I’m a dedicated postpartum doula and proud mom of two boys, with a deep passion for supporting families during the early stages of parenthood. My journey working with children began in a Montessori setting, where I cared for little ones ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years old. That experience, along with years of babysitting, helped me develop a strong understanding of child development and a genuine love for nurturing young children. Before becoming a postpartum doula, I worked as an overnight nanny, supporting families through those tender and often exhausting newborn nights. It was during this time that I realized how meaningful it was to care not just for babies, but for parents as well. Wanting to provide more intentional, informed support, I pursued professional training to become a postpartum doula. Now, I’m honored to walk alongside families as they adjust to life with a new baby—offering compassionate care, practical guidance, and a calm, reassuring presence during this special transition.

Andrea is truly one of the most insightful doulas I could have asked for. She completely exceeded all of my expectations, from her knowledge and guidance with breastfeeding to how incredibly helpful she was throughout the night with my newborn. She also has such a warm, inviting energy that made me feel comfortable and supported from the start. I’m so grateful for her support and would absolutely book with her again!

Hello! My name is Shervande Dorvil, but most people refer to me as Shy. I’m an Overnight Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula in the Los Angeles, CA area who specializes in twins. I currently have eight years of experience providing overnight care for newborns and support to parents. I am a punctual and organized individual who takes pride in the knowledge and guidance I can provide when it comes to children’s developmental milestones. I also have experience with sleep shaping, helping families establish healthy sleep habits so that even after my time with them has ended, parents can continue getting the rest they need. It truly warms my heart to see the impact I make in each new household by giving parents the relief of a night of uninterrupted sleep. I know and understand how difficult it can be to entrust someone with your precious bundle of joy, but I promise that your baby’s safety, comfort, and well-being will always be my highest priority. It takes a village to raise a child. Entrust me to be a part of yours, because I promise you won’t regret it.

So happy I picked Shy to watch my baby boy. Unfortunately, my maternity leave was only about a month, and I knew there was no way I would have been able to continue doing night shifts while working. I found Shy from a referral, and she really helped make my night so much easier! While I still had to wake up for breastfeeding, Shy was there for all the transitions and allowed me to really get the most sleep I could by taking care of literally everything. Even just the fact that my pump parts were always washed and ready to go made life so much easier! Even just watching her holding my baby, I could tell that she truly does care, and just that alone let me know my baby was always in good hands! Once again, thank you so much, Shy, couldn’t have done this without you!

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Angela as our doula because our birth experience (including all the prenatal touch points and postpartum) would not have been the same or as positive without her as we recently welcomed our baby boy. We immediately hit it off after facetiming (we found Angela via Doula Match) - Angela exudes such a calming and grounding presence and is the perfect balance of bringing evidence based knowledge/approaches and positivity. She was super flexible and catered to our needs and wants throughout it all. We had an induction birth and leading up to it, Angela provided so many helpful resources (e.g. referrals, videos, articles etc) to help me prepare and supplemented any gaps I felt I had with my OB. During my labor, Angela had ALL the tricks and tools handy to help me get through the physical and mental pain and was right by our side throughout it all providing words of encouragement and also fit in perfectly with our care team (e.g. getting me into different positions, advocating for me to have time to labor down before pushing). It was such a mental relief walking into the induction knowing she was going to be there to support me and my husband as it was my first time delivering. I really can't think of a single negative or constructive thing to say about Angela - she was the absolute best decision and a small part of me wishes I was still pregnant to be working with her ha! Angela is worth every penny as a doula and you will walk away with a friend as well. Can't recommend her enough! THANK YOU ANGELA!!
