I have a masters degree in pediatric nursing and I’m an internationally board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). My career started 10 years ago in inpatient pediatrics and the neonatal ICU. I then moved to a pediatric outpatient clinic due to a desire to focus on preventative medicine and patient education. When I had my own struggle breastfeeding my daughter it drove me to focus my career on lactation. I have personally experienced triple feeding, bottle refusal, oral function concerns, maintaining supply while working and breastfeeding in toddlerhood. I have a passion for helping moms understand how their babies developmental milestones influence their breastfeeding experience. I pride myself on providing education rooted in evidence based research. Becoming a mom changed my life so profoundly that now motherhood and breastfeeding are my favorite things to get to talk to other women about.

I have been a nurse for 8yrs. I have worked as a postpartum nurse and am now a full time lactation consultant. I have been doing home visits for 1.5yrs now. I take insurance through TLN and also take self pay. I am a Mama of 2 going to 3 boys!

I have been a registered nurse specializing in perinatal care since 1990. In 2015, I became an IBCLC and began working full-time as an inpatient lactation consultant. In 2019, I expanded my skills by studying craniosacral therapy under Carol Gray. Over time, I integrated craniosacral therapy and lactation consulting at the Recovery Lounge while interning with Amanda Glenn, gradually preparing for retirement from my hospital position. In May 2024, I retired and shifted my focus to the Recovery Lounge and Spa, where I now combine lactation consulting with infant craniosacral therapy, as the two practices complement each other to foster a more joyful breastfeeding experience.

I found my love and passion for supporting families and children in 2002 when I began my career as a Nanny.  I would frequently found myself supporting newborns/infants as a Nanny and chose to transition to a Newborn Care Specialist officially in 2021.  As of 2023, I have supported over 30 families with their childcare and newborn development. In order to bolster my experience and skills, I sought educational opportunities that specialized in newborn/infant care.  I have completed course offerings from Newborn Care Solutions in both Foundational and Advanced levels and am an Elite, CACHE certified NCS; along with being a trained doula and working on my certification for lactation counselor, I continue learning and growing my knowledge through safe sleep courses and many other trainings pertaining to newborns. Hi! My name is Meredith, and I am a Lactation Consultant. I have an 8 year old son and 6 year old daughter- and loving this stage of childhood they are in! My husband and I are originally from the Austin area in Texas, but have been here in Colorado for over 14 years now and love anything outdoorsy, dogs, family time and I love reading most genres of books. I have been a nurse for over ten years, serving many different patient populations. One of my favorite areas of nursing was as a mom baby nurse- which I did for 2.5 years- and found a passion for helping with breastfeeding and giving support to all different kinds of feeding plans. I have been an IBCLC for 3 years, and it’s been my favorite nursing career to date! My philosophy is to always support the families’ needs and wants- which I believe can look many ways to help babies thrive and grow, while also protecting the mental and physical health of the mom.
