I highly recommend Esther and her company. She exceeds expectations. She was compassionate, kind, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. Childbirth is a highly personal and important part of your life. Esther was right there for the family to support this precious journey. She was always available and connected us to others in the community, which was helpful. Fun facts 1. She graduated top of her class at a rigorous pre-medical program in high school 2. She also attend University of Miami on a scholarship 3. She is a mother of 4 very healthy boys 4. She speaks multiple languages 5. She has connections all throughout Miami Dade, which is helpful for a new mom 6. She's not just available before and during birth, she is available AFTER birth as well. 7. She has connections to midwives, physicians, and community leaders 8. She will support you throughout the entire birthing process. This is critical. 9. She is highly communicative - if you message her, you will get a response 10. She has a deep understanding of the human body given her background as a UM grad and high school medical program. She is a sweet and kind person as well. Her work has been featured throughout the country, and she is considered an expert in her field. She mentors other doulas and is a successful business woman, but she will still make you feel like a priority despite her busy schedule. You will never feel like a number. In your most intimate moment of life, you want someone who is there for you. Your child is your most important asset, do not leave it to chance. As I close this, I want to mention that Esther understands breastfeeding. Breastfeeding and pumping takes intention, strategy, and planning. Having a doula who is also a breastfeeding expert is extremely helpful and saves money down the line (no formula if that's your desire). As someone who is extremely discerning about services, I whole heartedly recommend Esther and you won't be disappointed.

We are so grateful for Toni and cannot recommend her highly enough. She supported our family as a night doula for our son Wes from birth through eight weeks, and her impact was truly life-changing. Toni brought expertise, calm, and warmth into our home during a time that can feel overwhelming, helping us establish healthy sleep routines, understand cues, and build confidence as new parents. We trusted her completely, and she cared for Wes with such love and attentiveness. Beyond caring for our newborn, Toni helped us organize our lives, create structure, and make our days feel manageable and supported. Because of her guidance, our nights were peaceful, our days ran more smoothly, and we were able to enjoy the early weeks instead of just surviving them. She is exceptional at what she does, and our family will always be grateful for her.

Sage was a dream come true for us. I was so deeply appreciative of the updates, the communication, the honesty, the positivity, and the trust that Sage was able to provide for us while caring for our baby while we were on a work trip. My two older children were also so impressed by Sage and really enjoyed all of their interactions. We recommend Sage wholeheartedly and with absolute confidence. The peace of mind and comfort Sage was able to give us during what could've been a really nerve-wracking time is something I will always be grateful for and never forget.

Sarah was thrown into birth work in 2015 when her best friend went into preterm labor while her support team was out of town. Sarah sprung into action, supported her friend, and discovered that birth work is where she belongs! She subsequently trained with Prodoula and DONA International, certified through DONA, and is now honored to join families in this life changing process and support them within a health system that can be hard to navigate. She is even more invested in birth work after giving birth to her daughter in 2021. Her compassion, calm presence, and flexible personality add to her skills as a doula. Originally trained as an artist, Sarah’s creativity and observation skills help her attune to her clients’ needs and work well alongside their care providers. She lives in Hyde Park and loves yoga, ceramics, and taking advantage of great live music in Chicago.

I can't recommend Sarah enough. She was a calm and steady presence in the midst of a very long birth (my first). She was an incredible support and advocate - before labor began and through to the birth. Not only was she a support for me, she was also a support for my husband - she held both of us emotionally (and me literally!) Just recently, I attended one of her birth art workshops. I'm still processing everything she led us through in the best way. It was a powerful way to work through my own fertility journey, pregnancy, and birth. She is an incredible facilitator and support. I am so grateful she has been on this journey with me and our family will absolutely be working with Sarah again when the next time comes.

I’m Chaya, a DMV native, proud mama of three, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), student midwife, and birth worker with a deep passion for supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My journey into birth work began in 2019 when I earned my CNA license, NRP/CPR certification, and full-spectrum doula certification. I originally entered nursing with the goal of becoming a labor and delivery nurse, but in 2020, I began apprenticing as a student and birth assistant alongside a local home birth midwife. That experience completely shifted the way I viewed birth and helped me develop a deeper appreciation for physiologic, intrinsic birth and the importance of protecting a birthing person’s autonomy. Since then, I’ve continued growing both in nursing and midwifery. I became a Licensed Practical Nurse while continuing my education toward my ultimate goal of becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM). I’ve also spent several years working in a local hospital’s Labor & Delivery unit while running Nova Birth & Wellness, which has allowed me to experience birth from both the clinical and community-based sides of maternity care. As a doula, placenta encapsulation specialist, birth photographer, student midwife, nurse, and perinatal advocate, my heart has always been centered around supporting mothers during one of the most sacred and vulnerable seasons of their lives. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of attending more than 200 births in different roles, and every experience has continued to strengthen my passion for this work. While I have a special love for natural, physiologic birth, I believe there is no single “right” way to give birth. Every person deserves to feel informed, respected, supported, and in control of the decisions surrounding their body and their baby. Whether someone chooses a home birth, hospital birth, epidural, induction, cesarean, or an unmedicated birth, my role is to help them understand their options and feel confident in the path that feels right for them. Advocacy is at the core of everything I do. My goal is to create a relationship built on trust, safety, and genuine connection so my clients know they can confide in me, depend on me, and feel completely supported during such an intimate time in their lives. Many of the relationships I’ve formed with families have grown into lasting friendships, which is one of the things I value most about this work. My dream is to become a CNM and eventually open my own practice where I can provide families with compassionate, evidence-based, autonomous maternity care and offer the option of home birth—the same kind of empowering experience I was blessed to have with my own children.

Chaya was amazing for us in the delivery room. My doctors were pushing for a c-section and she stayed respectful of what I wanted while still informing me of my options (Dr's really make it sound like you have no options but what they are suggesting). She advocated for me and made me feel like I had control of my labor. My labor was stalled and I had been at 6cm for a long time and my baby wasn't in the best position. My Dr. wanted a c-section and I asked for just one more hour to see if I progressed any further. All of the Dr's and nurses left the room and Chaya took action. She went and got a nurse to come back and help her put me in different positions to see if we could get me ready. For the entire hour she directed the nurse on which positions they would do and when my Dr came back, I was 10cm with the baby in the correct position. My doctor was actually shocked and so was I! Without Chaya I definitely would have had a c-section (something I was trying to avoid). I am very grateful for her and how she encouraged and informed me throughout my entire pregnancy and labor.

👋🏼 Welcome. So, you want to learn more about me, my energy, and the services I offer. My journey into birth work has been a long, winding path with many twists and turns. I My formal education was in designing therapeutic environments for children’s hospitals, studying how physical spaces impact healing, safety, and the nervous system. Over time, that work led me somewhere deeper, into the thresholds of birth, death and rebirth. Today, I am in private practice, Aspired Mother, where I offer birth and mother-centered postpartum care services rooted in both modern understanding and time-honored maternal care traditions. For birth preparation, my focus is on strengthening the mind-body connection so you can access efficient, instinctive movement and nervous system regulation during labor. Birth is not something we force, it’s something the body remembers when it feels safe and supported. Through somatic awareness, alignment, and practical preparation, I help you build confidence in your body’s innate design. For postpartum, my Ayurvedic approach extends the midwifery model beyond birth, protecting your long-term recovery and wellbeing. The early weeks after delivery are not just about surviving, they are foundational to your hormonal balance, energy, and emotional health for years to come. Through nourishment, warmth, rest, and hands-on support, I stabilize and restore you at your core. I also facilitate meaningful gatherings and transition support, such as Mother Blessings, Closing of the Bones and postpartum integration sessions , for women who wish to honor this threshold in a grounded and personal way. At the heart of my philosophy is this: Childbirth is not simply medical event. It is a formative life experience. And when a mother is deeply prepared, supported, and protected, the entire family benefits. So, whether you are planning a home birth, birth center experience, or hospital delivery, I believe in shared decision-making, informed choices, and honoring your autonomy every step of the way. I’m here to support you , not to lead you. Not to override you, but to walk beside you. 💛

I feel so blessed that I was able to have Jenna during the end of my pregnancy, during the birth of my son, and postpartum. It is so evident that she really cares so much, and I was so grateful for all the check ins during my pregnancy and postpartum!! No question was ever too much for her and I’m so grateful for her extensive knowledge, kindness and care. My birth didn’t go as I had initially planned, but Jenna helped us to ensure this birth experience was positive and helped us to navigate decisions we didn’t anticipate. She helped me feel at peace when I had questions and helped me feel empowered to make decisions that I knew were best for me. When I had complications after birth, she even drove back to the hospital to be there for me and my husband- I mean amazing!! My only regret is not finding her sooner! I didn’t initially plan on having a doula, but I am SO glad I found Jenna and would recommend her to anyone whether this is your first baby or your 3rd! I know my birth experience would have been drastically different if it weren’t for her. Thank you Jenna, we are so very thankful for you!!

Anyone would be lucky to have Melissa by their side throughout the perinatal journey! I don't know if I could have had such an empowering, healing VBAC experience without her. We were blown away by her expertise, compassion, and judgement-free respect for our priorities and wishes. My husband and I learned so much from her birth education and benefitted immensely from her emotional support before, during, and after labor. I was especially impressed with her intuition - even in the early stages of my induction she could sense when I was struggling and knew just what to say to me and my birth team to help me feel encouraged and heard. She's also thoughtful, resourceful, and funny; I always looked forward to talking with her. I cannot say enough nice things about Melissa. Hi, I’m Kim! I’m so glad you’re here! I’m the owner of Birthing Days Doula Services, a certified birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and infant sleep consultant serving families throughout the Portland metro area. With over eight years of experience and more than 250 births attended, I’ve had the privilege of supporting families through just about every kind of birth experience imaginable—from unmedicated births and epidurals to inductions, VBACs, cesareans, birth centers, and home births. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that no two births are alike, and your support shouldn't be either. **My philosophy is simple: Your birth, your choices, your experience. I'm here to support YOU.** I like to think of myself as your **birth best friend—with years of experience, evidence-based knowledge, a calming presence, and absolutely no judgment.** Whether you're hoping for an unmedicated birth, planning an epidural, preparing for a cesarean, or simply figuring out what feels right for you, my goal is to help you feel informed, confident, and supported every step of the way. I'll be there to offer hands-on comfort measures, help you navigate decisions, encourage and involve your partner, and provide a steady, reassuring presence when things feel overwhelming. I'll cheer you on, laugh with you, advocate for your wishes, and remind you just how capable you are—even when things don't go exactly as planned. I believe birth support should feel personal, not clinical. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing your fears, celebrating the exciting moments, and knowing you have someone in your corner who genuinely cares about you and your experience. And my support doesn't have to end when your baby arrives! With experience in postpartum recovery, newborn care, feeding, and infant sleep, I'm here to help you navigate those first weeks and months of parenthood, too. When I'm not supporting families, you'll find me spending time with my husband of 25 years and our three kids, traveling, camping, reading, or cheering on the Oregon Ducks! **Finding the right doula is about more than experience and certifications. It's about finding someone you connect with, feel comfortable around, and trust to be part of one of the most meaningful moments of your life.** I'd love to hear your story, learn about your hopes for birth, and talk about what matters most to you. Whether you have a detailed birth plan or aren't quite sure where to begin, I'd love the opportunity to get to know you and see if we're the right fit. **Let's connect! I can't wait to meet you!** — Kim Birthing Days Doula Services

Kim was so helpful- a calming and informative presence. This was so needed, especially when everything went haywire- she adapted to our needs as I went into labor a month early, and had to unexpectedly change hospitals. She was quite literally my only predictable factor in this experience. Her advocacy and communication skills were always on point, and she was so easy to talk to. I would highly recommend her services to anyone!

I’ll be honest. I wasn’t sure what to expect when we hired a birth doula, but I can’t imagine our labor without Haley. She supported both my wife and me from day one. During labor, she stayed calm, guided us through every stage, and helped me be the partner I wanted to be. Her experience and steady presence made our hospital birth feel so much more peaceful and empowering. The biggest thing I noticed was how safe and confident my wife felt with Haley by her side. If you’re looking for a compassionate birth doula, pregnancy support, or labor support, I can’t recommend Haley enough. She was one of the best investments we made for our growing family.

She made me feel confident in myself and I would highly recommend considering having her as a doula. Her knowledge of everything about pregnancy and support was exceptional. Having her as part of my support team was exactly what I needed to make my birth experience the best possible. I'm so grateful we connected not just on my pregnancy but also as a new friendship. As a Trauma-Informed and Trauma-Responsive Doula and Childbirth Educator, I provide compassionate, whole-person support to individuals and families throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I recognize that personal history and previous healthcare experiences can influence how someone feels about pregnancy, birth or receiving care. With that understanding, I offer education, steady presence, practical guidance and encouragement of informed self-advocacy while respecting each client’s dignity and honoring their individual needs and values. I approach each relationship with respect for the client’s lived experience and autonomy. My care is guided by trust, collaboration, cultural humility and an understanding of how trauma can affect the body and mind. From the first prenatal visit through postpartum recovery, I help clients recognize situations that may cause distress, notice their body’s responses, prepare questions and communicate their preferences. Together, we develop personalized doula support plans for pregnancy, birth and postpartum that emphasize consent and comfort while reflecting the client’s informed decisions. My professional practice is grounded in ongoing learning and thoughtful reflection. I pursue advanced training in maternal care, trauma-responsive support, reproductive justice and perinatal mental health so my work remains informed by current evidence and ethical practice. Through this work, I aim to break cycles of intergenerational trauma and promote emotional resilience for every family I serve.

I'm still on cloud nine and appreciating all that Ms. Kristan has done for my wife and I. Never would I have imagined that we would find what she offers in value and service to support us in our Christian faith. She has changed our lives as new parents and how I see myself supporting my wife and newborn son. She was so gentle and comforting with my wife. She is the most patient woman I have ever met besides my wife and my wife is very patient. Everything we spoke of to advocate for, she gently reminded me of when we were preparing to give birth. I was able to help my wife in ways that I wished I could. My wife had the birth that she wanted and I believe that if we didn't have Ms. Kristan's support and wisdom we may not have been blessed to experience that. New dads need understanding and to learn how to support mom and she provided us with plenty of it.

As an artist and deeply creative person, I know this experience will stay with me forever and continue to inspire the way I create, heal, and hold space for others. Roman helped make that possible by helping me feel fully held, emotionally safe, and spiritually supported throughout one of the most transformative moments of my life. I am endlessly grateful for her presence and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking compassionate, aligned, and genuine doula support.
