As I have studied and learned more, I have made changes to my life and the way I do things. I became a Bradley teacher and started Doula Training and continued to expand my education shortly after. It fit nicely with my husband's Bowen Therapy, so we decided to work together helping others with all the things we struggled with and needed help with as parents. I met my husband and moved back to California to be more close to my family, but missed Texas- so we are back again! I have a husband, 2 kids, dogs, cats, and chickens. We are very active with our local shelter and almost always have a foster animal, or 3. For 2 years we lived in an RV traveling to 12 states, and we would love to see more. I homeschool my children, and in my free time I love to travel, explore nature, listen to music, and catch up on TV. I have a bachelor’s degree and I am currently going to school to become a Registered Nurse. After my second child, I realized how important it is to have a village. I believe if I had a postpartum doula, my fourth trimester would have been completely different. There are so many women that don’t have a good support system, even though everyone deserves one. Being able to help my family members and friends who were postpartum has been such a rewarding experience; it led me to seek out formal training in doula work so I could make a career out of helping people. I am a planner and love doing research. Even though birth is very unpredictable, I love being able to inform parents of their options, advocate for them, and be the calm in the storm. Hello. My name is Yolyvette Boston, or Yoly for short. I am a Labor Doula, Birth Photographer and Student Midwife. I have been a doula for 3 years and prioritize the knowledge needed to enhance the support received during your birth. I was born in Puerto Rico, but San Antonio has been home for over a decade. I married my best friend Aaron, and we have a beautiful son named Noah. Being the last of six, I have been exposed to multiple pregnancies from a young age. Being present for my sisters ignited a fire and motivated me to continue to empower and support every pregnant person. I witnessed my first cesarean at 16 years of age, and it was an instant confirmation from the universe that I am meant to assist expecting families. Every pregnancy and labor experience is unique, and that is the beauty of it. No matter how many births or families you assist, they are all special in different ways. At times, the birthing person may want to give up, but all they need is a little motivation and support to flourish. Seeing mothers surrender to their bodies and finding the strength and power within when they want to quit has to be what I love witnessing the most. There is nothing like seeing how proud the birthing person gets afterward- as they should because they are amazing! Birth Photography allows me to freeze those beautiful emotions while you are meeting your little one. Those tiny toes quickly turn into smelly feet, but the pictures last a lifetime. After my own pregnancy during covid in 2021, I quickly realized knowledge is fundamental. When hospital policies are activated many of those on your birth team are replaceable. Now I strive to help your partner be the doula you need and prepare them as much I prepare the birthing person. I strive to be all-inclusive and helping all people. I am especially passionate about helping people of color, all genders, and military families. I was born into a military family, and I know family is not always around to help. Whether you are one hour away from the place you call “home” or a thousand miles, you do not have to do it alone. It does not matter what your birth plans are; you deserve to be respected, heard, encouraged, and supported during and after your pregnancy. I am also fluently bilingual in Spanish and English.

Hey, I’m Tess! I’m a birth and postpartum doula and placenta encapsulation specialist. I’ve been a birth worker since 2020 and have been serving moms in San Antonio since 2021. I married my best friend and we are raising our 4 beautiful kids, 2 of them are autistic, along with a few chickens. We love spending our time outside whenever we can whether that’s in the garden, on a trail or at the park. My aunt had 2 home births when I was a kid so from an early age I knew birth was beautiful, normal, and full of options and choices. When I got pregnant with my first, I researched everything from birth to baby soap but I still felt unsupported, uneducated and unprepared- especially as a first time mom and military wife with no family near me. I went a different route with my second birth which led me to dive deeper into the birth world and eventually becoming a doula was a natural next step for the knowledge and passion I was starting to culture and grow into. Knowing firsthand how important it is to feel seen, heard, supported, prepared and encouraged- I get the privilege of working with families to help them achieve that. I love getting to walk alongside families through such a life changing transition. My name is Allie Contreras. I am an army Brat, I was born in Germany and raised in the south and El Paso, TX. I have been a certified Doula since 2022. I am married to my best friend, he is my person, and truly understands and supports our family. We have two amazing kids Evelyn (9) and Logan (6). They are my reason for being and keep me going in life. My hobbies are going to the gym and listening to podcasts and books. I also started Midwifery school May 2023! I love women's health and learning all that I can about it! I started my journey with birth work in 2007 after watching the Business of Being Born. After two unmedicated births, one home birth myself, my love of birth continued to grow. My midwife and doula showed me what it was to truly mother and mother myself. I overcame Postpartum Anxiety, and looked into what a Doula was and what role they played in the birth team. When my father died in October 2021, I realized how much we truly need to cherish life and to follow our passions. I had been a Cosmetologist and Esthetician for 10 years and finally took the leap into birth work! It has been joyous and eye opening. I truly feel called to this work. I feel happiest serving others, and I am very passionate about serving LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC families. I want to emotionally support, because I was not given that. My youngest two children, are almost 24-months apart but are often mistaken as twins due to my middle child’s short stature and complex medical needs. As an educator, medical momma, and life-long learner I have made it my mission to be a resource in the community for those who need love and support. I'm a mom of 4 & Nana of 1, married to my soulmate for almost 24 years. Proud to be an Air Force veteran, I was Active duty when my first was born. Her birth was eye opening... and the reason I sought out different options for my second birth. My second was the first of 3 redeeming and beautiful home births, and that experience is what ignited my passion for birth. I wanted to be a midwife for several years but that wasn't in the cards. It was years later, shortly after making the move to pursue photography, that I found my passion in birth photography. From there, my desire to support and encourage birthing families only grew, and I sought out certification as a doula. Obviously I love being there when a sweet little soul makes its debut. It's more than that though! As a birth worker, I have the honor and privilege of witnessing transformations. That realization that they are able, that they are doing it, that they are about to meet their long awaited babies... that they CAN do hard things. That moment is worth the sleepless nights, sore muscles, and changed plans. That moment of empowerment and transformation brings a tear to my eyes. It never gets old.
