Hello. My name is Yolyvette Boston, or Yoly for short. I am a Labor Doula, Birth Photographer and Student Midwife. I have been a doula for 3 years and prioritize the knowledge needed to enhance the support received during your birth. I was born in Puerto Rico, but San Antonio has been home for over a decade. I married my best friend Aaron, and we have a beautiful son named Noah. Being the last of six, I have been exposed to multiple pregnancies from a young age. Being present for my sisters ignited a fire and motivated me to continue to empower and support every pregnant person. I witnessed my first cesarean at 16 years of age, and it was an instant confirmation from the universe that I am meant to assist expecting families. Every pregnancy and labor experience is unique, and that is the beauty of it. No matter how many births or families you assist, they are all special in different ways. At times, the birthing person may want to give up, but all they need is a little motivation and support to flourish. Seeing mothers surrender to their bodies and finding the strength and power within when they want to quit has to be what I love witnessing the most. There is nothing like seeing how proud the birthing person gets afterward- as they should because they are amazing! Birth Photography allows me to freeze those beautiful emotions while you are meeting your little one. Those tiny toes quickly turn into smelly feet, but the pictures last a lifetime. After my own pregnancy during covid in 2021, I quickly realized knowledge is fundamental. When hospital policies are activated many of those on your birth team are replaceable. Now I strive to help your partner be the doula you need and prepare them as much I prepare the birthing person. I strive to be all-inclusive and helping all people. I am especially passionate about helping people of color, all genders, and military families. I was born into a military family, and I know family is not always around to help. Whether you are one hour away from the place you call “home” or a thousand miles, you do not have to do it alone. It does not matter what your birth plans are; you deserve to be respected, heard, encouraged, and supported during and after your pregnancy. I am also fluently bilingual in Spanish and English.

Hey, I’m Tess! I’m a birth and postpartum doula and placenta encapsulation specialist. I’ve been a birth worker since 2020 and have been serving moms in San Antonio since 2021. I married my best friend and we are raising our 4 beautiful kids, 2 of them are autistic, along with a few chickens. We love spending our time outside whenever we can whether that’s in the garden, on a trail or at the park. My aunt had 2 home births when I was a kid so from an early age I knew birth was beautiful, normal, and full of options and choices. When I got pregnant with my first, I researched everything from birth to baby soap but I still felt unsupported, uneducated and unprepared- especially as a first time mom and military wife with no family near me. I went a different route with my second birth which led me to dive deeper into the birth world and eventually becoming a doula was a natural next step for the knowledge and passion I was starting to culture and grow into. Knowing firsthand how important it is to feel seen, heard, supported, prepared and encouraged- I get the privilege of working with families to help them achieve that. I love getting to walk alongside families through such a life changing transition. Placenta encapsulation allows me to offer a different kind of support where I can also honor and memorialize something that sustained life and connected mom to baby before they ever got to meet each other.

My name is Allie Contreras. I am an army Brat, I was born in Germany and raised in the south and El Paso, TX. I have been a certified Doula since 2022. I am married to my best friend, he is my person, and truly understands and supports our family. We have two amazing kids Evelyn (9) and Logan (6). They are my reason for being and keep me going in life. My hobbies are going to the gym and listening to podcasts and books. I also started Midwifery school May 2023! I love women's health and learning all that I can about it! I started my journey with birth work in 2007 after watching the Business of Being Born. After two unmedicated births, one home birth myself, my love of birth continued to grow. My midwife and doula showed me what it was to truly mother and mother myself. I overcame Postpartum Anxiety, and looked into what a Doula was and what role they played in the birth team. When my father died in October 2021, I realized how much we truly need to cherish life and to follow our passions. I had been a Cosmetologist and Esthetician for 10 years and finally took the leap into birth work! It has been joyous and eye opening. I truly feel called to this work. When I introduce myself I share that I’m ’Light, Love, and a Bringer of Peace!’ I am the mom to three of the most creative, charismatic, intelligent, joyful and loving children: Victoria, Vivienne, and Arjun… As LEGO-enthusiast, we often spend a lot of time working on sets! My youngest two children, are almost 24-months apart but are often mistaken as twins due to my middle child’s short stature and complex medical needs. As an educator, medical momma, and life-long learner I have made it my mission to be a resource in the community for those who need love and support. Hiking, Cooking/Baking and Creating art in various forms and helping others are my love languages! My greatest glimmer (sparkles for joy) are Plants! I am a Plant Momma to Many, and a Dog momma to one Puppy named Bluu!

I have a husband, 3 kids, one cat (who we named Albus Dumbledore because of his white beard), and an Aussiedoodle named Zoey. I found my calling in birth work at the young age of 16, where I was present at at a family members birth, and never looked back! After studying Biology at Temple University and devoting a portion of my life to modern medicine, I found a passion in Ethnobotany, which led to applying a more holistic approach to women’s health- -hyper focused on women’s reproductive health. My name is Sophie Perkins and I grew up in Kerrville, TX. I have been practicing as a doula since 2020, and I have fallen in love with this work. I have no children of my own, but my wonderful girlfriend and I have plans to expand our family. While I hope to be able to carry a child, we are very excited about the prospect of adopting or fostering children! My hobbies include spending time with my partner and pets, renovating our home, and reading. In 2016, a friend of mine got pregnant and hired a doula. Hearing her birth story was such a privilege and an eye opening experience! As the months passed, she shared with me honestly what it was like being a new mom–the sleep deprivation, confusion, visceral joy and love of having a child. I felt so honored that she would trust me, and I was inspired to find my place beside families as they welcome new children. I looked into doula work and was hooked immediately. Hi, my name is Alaya, owner of Lay Naturals. After experiencing womb complications of my own including PCOS, I turned to contraception for help only to find out later that it caused my womb issues to worsen. Eager to heal my womb, I switched over to a holistic lifestyle, changing my diet and studying herbalism. I reversed my womb issues and became passionate to help other women take back their power and heal their wombs. I am now a certified doula assisting women in every stage on their journey to motherhood including fertility, conception, pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I am so grateful that my experience has led me here. I am also a licensed massage therapist specializing in prenatal massage.
