Hi everyone! My experience with birth started with my first birth: my son was born peacefully at home in the water. I fell in love with birth right away, and began taking doula classes. My approach to prenatal, labor, and postpartum care is mother and family centered. I’ve also trained in labor massage, Ayurvedic postpartum nutrition, childbirth education, and as a lactation educator and placenta specialist. My goal is to offer support, assurance, and information to my families at every step of their early parenthood journey. My philosophy and education align best with mamas who are pursuing natural birth and holistic support. I have experience with VBACs, HBACs, and free births.

I am a mother of 2 little girls (3&5) in Averill Park and also was a high-risk mom and a Nicu mom. I have a tremendous amount of experience (10+ years) in this field. I am CPR and NPR certifed. Hi! My name is Heather and I’m a birth & postpartum doula out of Bellingham, MA. I have 2 young kids and was inspired in my own pregnancies and deliveries to become a family support worker during the incredible transition of welcoming home a new baby. My number one goal is advocating and educating the families I work with from day 1 so everyone can have the childbirth experience they deserve. I have been working as a doula for over a year and have served 7+ families as a doula and newborn care specialist during that time.

For more than 8 years, I have had the privilege of supporting families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood, including more than 40 births. My approach is warm, calm, evidence-informed, and nonjudgmental. I believe there is no single “right” way to give birth, my role is not to tell you what your birth should look like, but to help you feel informed, prepared, heard, and supported as you make the choices that are right for you and your family. I have experience supporting unmedicated births, epidurals, inductions, VBACs, cesarean births, breastfeeding, postpartum adjustment, and childbirth education. My background in parenting consultation and Circle of Security also shapes the way I care for families. I see birth not as an isolated event, but as the beginning of a new chapter for the whole family. I love supporting parents as they build confidence, learn to understand their baby's needs, and find their own way into parenthood. I provide support in English, Portuguese, and Spanish and proudly serve families throughout the MetroWest area. My hope is that every family I work with feels respected, cared for, and never alone in the journey.
