Two prenatal visits (preferably one in your home), birth plan support and planning, materials and resources created for your keeping, continuous support from active labor through the hour+ after your birth, and one postpartum visit at your home. I’ve been a middle and high school teacher and administrator for 24+ years and bring a wide breadth of experience in educating you specifically how you need it, including tailored materials and resources. I believe staying in contact and feeling connected, especially during the third trimester is helpful and can be comforting. Liz Eidelman is a mom of two daughters and a DONA International Doula & Birth Photographer from New Jersey. Shaped by her own birth experiences, Liz was called to support mothers in achieving empowerment through their own births. Julie was born and raised on Long Island and has always loved children which lead her to becoming a performer at Disney World while she was in high school. She later became a stunt woman in film and television until she met her wife and settled back on the Island to start their family. After having their son she realized that life had a new plan in store. She was so inspired by her doula that she trained with the Long Island Doula Association while pregnant with her daughter. She believes that having a birth doula can look different for each family to support their unique journey and so excited to be a birth doula, and can’t wait to be by your side.

I wanted to take some time for you to get to know me, the CEO and Founder of Reverence Birth. I was born and raised here in New Jersey by my wonderful Colombian parents. I was fortunate that my parents taught me Spanish and raised me with many different Colombian traditions. I also enjoy spending time with my loved ones, as well as my two beautiful cats, Cheese and Bloom. However, growing up, I was not only an only child but also battled many lifelong chronic conditions. Let’s just say, as a Latina woman, I understand how it feels when receiving care at a medical center can be daunting. Jaymie is a proud mother of two. After having a VBAC with a doula she decided that a doula was instrumental in having her voice heard during the time of birth. She knew that empowering women during their pregnancy and allowing them to find their voice was something that she was passionate about. Helping families find the calm within using mindfulness, meditation and breath work is only some of the techniques used to manage labor. Going through and utilizing spinning babies and the rebozo are helpful tools in the birthing space.
