The Values That Shape My Work: I’m a first-generation Latina raised in a multigenerational household where caregiving was shared, community was central, and support was collective rather than individual. I grew up with a deep understanding of the “village”, mutual aid, interdependence, and emotional presence as foundational to well-being. Those early values shaped my path into caregiving. I began my work supporting families as a nanny during children’s most formative years, and later transitioned into birth and postpartum doula care, childbirth education, and mentorship for emerging doulas. I offer overnight support for families with newborns. Besides supporting parents in the care for their newborn I also love to ‘mother the mother’ as she needs to rest and recover in the fourth trimester. I offer practical support, such as help with (breast)feeding, making sure mom stays hydrated and rested, clean bottles and pump parts, help with baby laundry etc. I also provide evidence based information on newborn care as well as emotional support to process all the changes and offer parents encouragement where needed. Helping out with newborn care, diaper changes, bottle or body feeding assistance, light housekeeping, baby laundry, full overnight baby care so you and your partner getting the eight hour sleep you deserve (my fave), emotional support, meal prep and resource guidance. I follow Dr. Harvey Karp, world reknowned pediatrcian to the stars and follow the 5 S's. Soothe, Swaddle, Side-Stomach position, Shush, Swing and Suck. Continuing the nine-month environment your baby has been acclimated to, continues outside the womb the first three months of birth.

I have always been someone who loves to take care of others. For family and friends, I was the one they’d call in an emergency, when someone is passing, when life decisions were being made. I went to college to become a nurse because I wanted to ensure I had a career where I could support people. God works in mysterious ways and I wasn’t able to apply for the nursing program at the college I went to. I had decided to get a degree in Health Systems Management and later, to do the accelerated nursing program. Plans don’t typically work on the way you dream and I found myself two kids later, 1 year too late, unable to apply for the accelerated nursing program. During this season, I had Andrew, our child that wasn’t birthed with the support of a doula, and I knew, being a doula was my answer. I’ve had felt unseen, unheard and unimportant when I was giving birth and I wanted to make sure that didn’t happen to others. I’m often get introduced as “Doula Jenn” and, I love it. I don’t just doula people through childbirth, I support through life. Parenthood is hard, marriages are hard, finding connection with friends is hard and I want to come alongside you in life. I’m an active member of the High Vibe Mom Tribe and I host virtual book clubs several times a year to support women through their marriages.

Hello 🧡 My name is Priscilla and I am bilingual in spanish. I majored in Human Services with the intention of assisting mothers. I am also trauma informed. Having a Bachelors led me into becoming a certified Lactation Counselor. Hearing my mothers stories from their birth trauma, experiences within the medical system, has led me to receive my doula certification in order to be a better asset to service my families. I decided to take the Doula workshop under DONA due hearing my previous prenatal and postpartum clients stories. My desire is to come along families in order to assist them with the birth they desire from providing information and support for their birth journey.
