Emma Steeves

Hi, I’m Emma, your local birth bestie and birth aficionado! I’m a DONA trained doula based out of Toronto, ON looking to support families throughout their birth journey. My goal is to provide amazing care to each client, tailored to their specific needs. Ever since I was young, I have been passionate about supporting families. Inspired by my childhood dreams of being a early childhood educator, an OBGYN and later a midwife, I have always felt a strong pull towards family care and birth work. In my community, I started by becoming the favourite neighborhood babysitter, then in University I became a loving part time nanny, then moved on to work as a manager of a children’s swim school for several years. Alongside my passion for birth support, I have a deep appreciation for art and creativity. I spent three years working at an art gallery and went on to get my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Painting. Even then, my dream of caring for families never left me, with my passions leading me to run impromptu prenatal education sessions during lunch breaks at work. In May of 2024 I made the exciting decision to take a step back from my art career and focus full time on becoming a doula. Now, I am dedicated to being the best “birth bestie” I can be for my clients by proving them with compassionate care, encouragement, and unwavering support every step of the way.

Words can’t fully express how grateful we are to have had Doris as our birth doula. From the very beginning, she brought such a calming, grounded, and nurturing energy into our journey. She took the time to truly get to know us—our fears, hopes, and birth preferences—and made us feel completely supported and empowered every step of the way. During labor, Doris was an absolute rock. She created a peaceful environment, gently guided me through each contraction, and helped my partner feel confident and involved. Her presence was intuitive and comforting—knowing just when to offer words of encouragement, grounding touch, or simply hold space. She honored our birth plan while remaining flexible and wise when things needed to shift. What stood out most was how she held space not just for the physical birth, but for the emotional and spiritual process too. Her care felt ancestral, like something deep and sacred was being honored. Postpartum, she checked in with such genuine care, offering wisdom, warmth, and reassurance when we needed it most. If you’re looking for a doula who is deeply attuned, knowledgeable, and truly walks beside you in love and respect—Doris is it. She made our birth experience not only beautiful, but transformational

Hi, I’m Patice, a full-spectrum doula serving Toronto and the GTA. Nine years of supporting individuals and families has taught me every person comes into pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with their own story, priorities, and idea of what support should look like. That’s why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to doula care. My role is to understand what matters most to you and adapt my support as your needs and preferences evolve. Whether we’re talking through options during a prenatal visit, adjusting to unexpected changes in plans, finding ways to make labour more comfortable, or simply making space for a pause in the middle of it all, my goal is always the same: to help you feel informed, respected, and confident in the decisions you’re making. Good support isn’t about taking over. Support can be active in quiet ways. Sometimes it looks like breaking down options when things feel uncertain, so you can decide what feels right for you. Sometimes it looks like stepping back so you can focus on what your body and instincts are telling you. And sometimes it is simply making the space feel steady enough that you can pause and decide what comes next. The right support doesn’t draw attention to itself. It helps you feel more capable of navigating what is in front of you. Clients often describe me as calm, practical, and easy to talk to.

We hired Nadine as our doula after feeling that we needed more support through the pregnancy and birthing process. Nadine was amazing - supportive, experienced and knowledgeable. She provided us with lots of resources, answered all our questions and when it came to the birth, remained calm and provided reassurance when things didn’t go to plan. She also provided invaluable support post birth. I firmly believe that everyone should hire a doula and if you are very lucky, you will find one as great at Nadine.

Hi there, my name is Emily. I’m a certified postpartum doula, DONA-educated birth doula, and pre- and postnatal yoga instructor in Toronto, dedicated to helping mothers, mothers-to-be, and families find connection, calm, and confidence in their bodies and daily lives. I come to this work from a lifelong love of movement and a deep appreciation for the beauty and transformation of early motherhood. My role is to help you feel informed, cared for, and supported as you prepare to welcome your baby and adjust to life together. As your doula, I’ll guide you through birth and postpartum planning, help you advocate for your needs in labour, and offer comfort through every stage of the process. After birth, I provide nurturing practical care for both you and your baby, including education, sibling care, light housework, meal preparation, and nourishing postpartum recipes (I especially love cooking and baking meals that support recovery and milk supply). My philosophy is rooted in the understanding that physical, mental, and emotional well-being are deeply connected. I integrate nutrition, yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness to help you reconnect with your body and trust your intuition as you move through this tender time. Jen was our doula for the birth of our first child in April 2026. We had a wonderful experience with her throughout. She has a very relaxed, reassuring energy. Mama Bear is the perfect way to describe her vibe! Our first 2 meetings were great and she had information about everything we asked (and more!) She also sent follow up emails with lots of resources for us to look through after our initial sessions. In the final weeks leading up to the birth, she was very communicative and checked in frequently. She was very reassuring when I was having concerns and fears, and she really helped me to manage the anxiety I was feeling about childbirth. Jen also helped walk us through making an informed consent document (birth plan), but also supported us when we decided on something different in the moment while I was in labour. During early labour, she came to our home and helped support both my husband and I with various positions, counter pressure, pain management, and decision making. She accompanied us to the hospital, helped us settle in, and came back after I had rested for several hours. She arrived before the birth and was a strong advocate for me with the midwives and hospital staff, and it took a lot of pressure off of my husband (who was already doing so much to help). It was so helpful to have someone who was familiar with the birthing process and hospital by our side for support. Jen's postpartum visit was so lovely! Seeing her again in a relaxed way after such intensity was really special. She held the baby and gave us some tips and advice on what to expect in the coming weeks. I expect we will ask her for some extra post-partum visits once my husband is back at work. What an amazing woman to have involved with our baby's life. We are so lucky to have found her. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for doula support. Thank you, Jen!

⚜️About Me:⚜️ I’m Kailey Yeager, owner of Naturally Nurtured Doula Care LLC, wife, and proud mother of two. My experiences as a mother of a child with special needs inspired me to become a passionate advocate for families navigating healthcare, education, and community support systems. As a community-based, high-risk doula, my goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-informed support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum journey. I believe parents deserve access to accurate information, quality education, and trusted resources so they can make informed decisions that are right for their unique families. My role is not to make decisions for parents, but to ensure they feel confident, respected, and empowered as they make those decisions themselves. Beyond my doula work, I am deeply committed to advocacy. I have advocated for improved access to Early Intervention and preschool special education services, helping raise awareness of the barriers families face in obtaining timely evaluations, services, and support. I am passionate about ensuring children with special needs and their families have access to the services, resources, and opportunities they deserve. I currently serve as Vice President of the Brockport PTSA, where I work to strengthen partnerships between families, schools, and the community through volunteerism, parent engagement, and educational initiatives. I also serve as the Brockport Central School District TIES Program Coordinator, coordinating inclusive social and recreational opportunities that bring together students with and without disabilities. Through TIES, I aim to help foster meaningful friendships, leadership, and a sense of belonging for children and young adults of all abilities. Everything I do is rooted in the belief that education empowers families. Whether I am supporting an expectant parent, advocating for a child with special needs, leading community programs, or connecting families with local resources, my mission is to provide the knowledge, encouragement, and support that help families make informed choices with confidence.
