About Me Hi, I’m Alyssa, and I founded Sonoran Sunrise Newborn Care in 2024 to help families thrive in the weeks after their baby is born. I have been working with children in their homes since 2016, including those with complex behavioral and medical needs, and since 2022 I’ve specialized in caring for infants and toddlers. In 2024 I completed trainings with Newborn Care Solutions and Newborn IQ, and I’m also proud to hold advanced certification from the US Nanny Institute, earned in 2021. I’m continually expanding my education and experience so that I can provide the best care possible. My focus is on coaching parents in newborn care and helping babies establish healthy sleep. I am there to help guide parents and help them feel confident, as well as to support them through overnights so that they can be well-rested.

Alyssa came into my life when I was suffering from severe PPA/PPD. My infant daughter had an incredibly hard first few months of life -- from tongue ties, to reflux, a formula shortage and eventually a feeding aversion. Alyssa was always so patient and gentle with her, on top of being a comforting presence to me as well. She was extremely resourceful and educated in guiding me to make informed decisions about my daughter's health and care. Alyssa is nurturing, soft and extremely detail-oriented. My daughter required quite a bit of specific care, including oral exercises, various medications, etc. She was always diligent and handled my daughter with as much love/delicacy as I would. I truly believe that she not only cared for my daughter, but me as well. As a FTM, I was extremely anxious and uninformed. She never made me feel judged and would go above and beyond if I ever had any specific requests or questions. I extended with Alyssa as much as I possibly could, but unfortunately have to move out of state. Any family who has the opportunity to work with her is insurmountably lucky.

We are so beyond grateful for Shannon and everything she did for our family. From the moment she came into our home, she brought such a calm, supportive energy. She was incredibly gentle and loving with our daughter someone we could trust completely, which gave us so much peace of mind during those early, exhausting nights. Shannon didn’t just care for our baby, she cared for our whole home. She helped tremendously with things like folding laundry, washing bottles and breast pump parts, and stepping in wherever we needed always without hesitation. She never tried to correct us or question our choices, and that made such a difference. We always felt supported, never judged. It truly felt like having an extra heart and pair of hands in the house. Shannon will always hold a special place in our story, and I can’t recommend her enough to any new family looking for kind, trustworthy, and genuinely helpful support during those tender first nights. She’s truly one of a kind.

Amissa was my doula for my first and only birth and she was INCREDIBLE. She's super knowledgable, kind, and considerate of what you need throughout your pregnancy and birthing journey. I felt very nervous about not knowing anything and once I connected with Amissa I felt way more educated and prepared for my expectations and knowing my rights in the delivery room. She advocated for me and empowered me to advocate for myself. I would absolutely recommend Amissa to anyone seeking a doula's support for their birth.

Hailey was an absolute angel for our family! She came in with wonderful ideas. Hailey was beyond amazing with our little son who had done NICU time and I was worried about letting anyone else help take care of him, but she put me at ease and formed a quick relationship with our family. My mom is a retired nurse and gave Hailey flying colors on the days they overlapped! We absolutely feel blessed to have had her help!

I’m a single mother navigating the rewarding and challenging journey of raising an adventurous young boy. My life is a blend of nurturing a curious and growing child while indulging in my passions and interests. For many years, I’ve been deeply immersed in the food industry, managing a beloved family-owned Mexican restaurant that was started by my grandparents in 1964. This restaurant has been a cornerstone of our family and community, and my work there has not only shaped my professional life but also my personal identity. Running the restaurant has been a labor of love, connecting me to my heritage and allowing me to share our family’s culinary traditions with others. Cooking remains a significant part of my life, whether it's preparing meals at home or experimenting with new recipes. I find joy in exploring new culinary experiences and discovering new flavors, both in my own kitchen and through dining out at different restaurants. Traveling to foreign countries is another passion of mine, as it offers a chance to immerse myself in different cultures, gain fresh perspectives, and experience the world from new angles. Nature is my sanctuary, providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether I’m hiking through scenic trails or simply enjoying the outdoors, I cherish the connection with nature and the tranquility it brings. My Philosophy Central to my philosophy is the belief that no woman is ever truly alone in her journey. As a mother and a professional, I embrace the idea that support, solidarity, and shared experiences among women are powerful forces that uplift and strengthen us. Whether through the bonds we forge in our personal lives or the communities we build in our professional endeavors, the connections we make are vital. I am committed to fostering these connections and drawing strength from the collective wisdom and support of the women around me. In addition to my work in the food industry, I am a certified prenatal doula. These roles allow me to provide comprehensive support to families during one of the most transformative times in their lives. My certifications reflect my dedication to helping others navigate their birthing journeys with confidence and care. Balancing motherhood with my professional and personal interests, I strive to create a fulfilling and vibrant life for both myself and my son. My experiences in the food industry, coupled with my passion for travel, nature, and my work as a doula , shape a life filled with creativity, exploration, and deep familial bonds.

As a doula I integrate various techniques such as meditation, mindfulness, nutrition plans, energy healing and more, to create a calming, and soothing environment for the mother during our time together. I will help to reduce stress, anxiety and illuminate any fears or doubts she may have surrounding / regarding birth. . This not only supports the mother's mental and emotional health but also contributes to a smoother labor and delivery process.
