How Much Does a Birth or Postpartum Doula Cost in Hickory, NC?

I’m currently a ProDoula Certified Labor Doula (CD-L) + A Dona International Certified Doula (CD). I am also a Certified Fertility Doula (CFD), Reproductive Health Specialist (RHS), Postpartum Doula (PPD), Newborn Care Specialist (NCS), and Infant Feeding Specialist (IFS). I know it’s a mouthful but it was all totally worth it. ​ I support unmedicated and medicated births and believe they are both outstandingly beautiful. I also specialize in working with LGBTQ+ families. I am obsessed with multiples as a result of my younger twin siblings, Claire and Cooper. Thankfully, my obsession has led me to experience some amazing twin and triplet births (vaginal and cesarean). I also fully support and love those who birth their babies from their bellies. I now offer planned cesarean support as well! ​ I have been trained in a variety of comfort measure techniques including, rebozo, acupressure, massage, guided meditation, and aromatherapy. I am a certified Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula. Additionally, I have significant experience with clients using other forms of Hypnosis for birth. ​ I have a fierce desire to help clients who struggle with walking a unique fertility path. As the first Fertility Doula in Charlotte, NC, I know just how much support surrounding fertility complications and infertility is needed in our community. I have recently started organizing a collective of doulas committed to offering support to families and individuals undergoing any fertility assistance. Fertility work has led me to find passion in also supporting families with surrogates and those going through surrogacy. ​ Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding, pumping, supplementing, and formula feeding are all journeys that I’m in full support of and have significant experience with as well. Cultivating an environment where you can bond with your baby, no matter how you feed them, is one of my favorite things to curate for clients. ​ I’ve always loved supporting people - the deeply and passionately really truly type of love. I serve mama’s in the Fort Mill and Charlotte surrounding areas during pregnancy and postpartum. I am married to my best friend, Collin Francis and we just had the most perfect baby girl, Saylor Grace Francis, born at home on July 31st, 2022. Our hearts are so full! I became a doula because I am so passionate about everything pregnancy and birth but most importantly because I believe women and their families need such a strong support system during this season in their life. I worked in the hospital system for almost 4 years on several different units from ER to maternity, went to nursing school and got my LPN degree all to realize I wanted nothing more than to support women holistically. My name is Rachel Campbell. I'm a 30-something wife and mama to two crazy kiddos and one dog. I have been immersed in the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum world since 2017 and had two amazing doula-attended births of my own. I decided to take the plunge into doula work in 2021. I completed my CAPPA training in November of 2021 and I'm working toward my official certification. I've seen firsthand what it's like to have long and difficult labors, challenging physical and/or emotional recoveries in the postpartum period, and just about every breastfeeding struggle in the book. It is my hope that the skills I've learned in finding good help and working to identify solutions that aid both Mama AND Baby in equal measure can help other families.

hi, I’m a current active mother baby nurse and have been doing this job for 18 years now. I’ve realized I would like to care for newborns but not in the hospital setting. I am very clean and calm. as well as a very good communicator from all my years in the hospital. I value peace and harmony and hold the family in the highest esteem. I love nature and have lived here for over 30 years and have been married for over 30 years. My two children are 25 and 30 and my daughter who is 30 will be moving back home with her husband. I don’t have any grandchildren yet and my husband ran the local college farm for 20 years. I’m a closet artist and my house is filling up with beautiful art I have created over the last 10 years. My husband and I also love to garden and have lots of house plants and orchids.
