A wonderful experience. Vennessa taught us so much as first time parents. We will cherish her help and work for life! She also helped me with a crazy engorgement on her first day. That would’ve ended in a huge meltdown if not for her!!!

Hey there! My name is Alexandra however most come to call me Alex. I’ve been a postpartum doula for the past 16 years! I was born in Haiti and i practice all of the indigenous birth practices of my country. Ranging from postpartum nutrition, postpartum herbal bath and massage as well as postpartum closing bone ceremony. My passion is caring for mama as she cares for baby. Allowing her the space to navigate her new role whether it be her first baby or her ninth with the upmost care, patience and kindness and with my full support and knowledge. Let us build a village together

Recent review

After having a pregnancy that was not like my first for reasons other than health, I received a postpartum herbal bath from Alexandra. The experience was truly exceptional as the way in which she took her time to curate a bath that was specific to me and my needs was barely the pinnacle of my experience. In moments of uncertainty as a mother, whether it is your first or your third, the care you receive matters. Receiving care from Alexandra is an experience within itself that can only be described within a feeling, one that is sweetened with care and someone who is committed to carrying you to the other of your vulnerability. I recommend her services to others as she is an exceptional individual who is serious about her craft and the care of the children in which she assisted in coming into this world. Again, I can not fully put into words what it is like as you would have to experience her services to understand. I can say within a day I was up and walking, and the aches and pain had vanished seemingly overnight after the bath. Simply plain and put she is passionate and dedicated and will show up for you.

Geeta supported our family as an overnight doula during the first few weeks of our daughter’s life, and having her in our home was such a relief and a pleasure. She not only made us feel more confident as parents, but took time to check in on my own recovery in addition to caring for our daughter. She was an absolute pleasure to work with!

Our team includes Newborn Care Specialists, Postpartum Doulas, RNs and LPNs who offer overnight newborn care, daytime postpartum support, and extended care for families adjusting to life with a new baby. Working with Karina during the first months was truly one of the best decisions we made as new parents. From the very first night, we felt calm knowing our baby was in capable, knowledgeable hands. She not only helped us establish a gentle and sustainable sleep routine but also took the time to explain the ‘why’ behind everything, which gave us so much confidence. Our home felt peaceful, our baby was thriving, and we were finally able to rest. We’re incredibly grateful for the professionalism, warmth, and steady guidance during such a vulnerable time!

We worked with Netta and Doula Dynasty for four months for overnights from the day we brought our second daughter home from the hospital. From that first night, Netta was incredible. Very caring, responsible, professional and safe with our daughter and also supportive of me postpartum. She is positive, loving and knows exactly what to do to help your baby sleep so that you can get some rest. She’s also helped us during the day too and is a lovely person. Highly recommend!

Chamaine Lucas-Jones

My name is Chamaine, I am Birthing Postpartum Doula with a deep commitment to supporting families through one of life’s most transformative experiences. I bring a nurturing presence and a calm, reassuring approach to help create a warm and comforting environment where parents feel truly supported and valued. My mission is to offer compassionate, knowledgeable care to families welcoming new life—guiding them through both the joyful moments and the inevitable challenges with patience, empathy, and expertise. In addition to my core practice, I have experience working in kosher kitchens and providing attentive, respectful care for infants following their bris, ensuring families feel confident and cared for during this sacred time.

Recent review

We had the pleasure of having Chamaine support and guide us for the first five weeks after our daughter was born via C-section. As first-time parents returning home after a difficult pregnancy followed by a brief NICU stay, we felt very overwhelmed and anxious about entering the new phase of our lives. Chamaine was like a ray of sunshine entering our home, providing us with an instant sense of warmth and comfort. She made a concerted effort to connect with and care for our entire family, including our newborn daughter, our (extremely needy) dog, and both of us parents. We’ve gleaned so much valuable knowledge from Chamaine that we will surely carry with us throughout parenthood. We couldn’t have asked for someone more nurturing, responsible, thoughtful, and attentive to care for our daughter, and it brought us so much peace to know that she was in such great hands each day and night. We were so lucky to have had Chamaine as our baby nurse, and none of us (dog included!) could have gotten through this challenging adjustment period without her. We appreciate her tremendously and she will always be a very special part of our family!

I truly can’t recommend Linda enough! I hired her around the beginning of my second trimester, and she was such a wonderful source of support throughout the rest of my pregnancy journey. From helping me feel more informed and prepared for birth to answering my questions and talking through my concerns, Linda was always patient, supportive, and reassuring. She helped me better understand my options when it came to labor and delivery, talked with me about comfort and coping techniques, and made sure I felt confident making decisions that were right for me. One of the things I appreciated most was knowing I had someone I could reach out to when I had questions or simply needed reassurance. Pregnancy can come with so many emotions and uncertainties, and having that extra support made such a difference for me. Linda genuinely cares about the moms and families she works with, and I’m so grateful that she was part of my pregnancy journey. If you’re considering having a doula for prenatal, birth, or postpartum support, I absolutely recommend reaching out to her. ❤️

Huddle has been an absolute Godsend for us. Our little one was discharged from the NICU, after a total of 17 hospital nights, and my husband and I were struggling with feeding him. We knew we needed support from licensed nurses rather than typical caretakers. Jessica and Huddle absolutely changed our post pardom lives. Huddle provided us with daytime, as well as overnight services. Knowing our baby was in the hands of experienced, licensed, nurses while I rested and recovered, was the biggest peace of mind. We were working on feeding goals in tandem with our pediatrician and Huddle. Together we nursed our baby from a tiny guy, to a little chunk! Without Huddle, I dont think my husband and I would have been able to get our guy as healthy as he is today. We are using the telehealth service as well. Jessica is so knowledgeable and has answers for all of our questions. Its so nice being able to connect with a consistent provider, and have quick, easy access when we have those first time parent questions! One thing Id wish we'd done differently is scheduled Huddle from when I was pregnant rather than after birth. Having services set up from right when we got home would have been the best. If youre considering Huddle and are currently pregnant, I would schedule in advance!

If you wish to contact me and schedule an appointment, please visit my website https://thelaborlounge.org/contact/ Ines Serna is a mother, childbirth educator, and doula with a Master of Health Sciences in Public Health. She became interested in pregnancy and the birth process after having her first child in 2010. Shortly after, Ines started working for the childbirth education department at a prestigious Bergen County hospital, where she gained a great deal of knowledge about maternity services. After the birth of her second child in 2014, she decided to become a childbirth educator. Through her two birth experiences, she realized that the power of knowledge can have a positive impact on birth outcomes. While working as a childbirth educator at the hospital, Ines saw the necessity of giving additional support to her clients. She has trained with DONA International to obtain all the required skills to assist mothers during the birth process. Ines is dedicated to expanding her knowledge by attending maternal and child health conferences, seminars, and networking with health professionals in the community. Ines’s extensive hospital experience has allowed her to see and understand the need to continue advocating for patient-centered care. She believes a patient’s personal preferences, such as values, cultural traditions, family support, and lifestyles, must be taken into consideration. Ines is passionate about supporting expectant parents by making sure they understand that they have options before, during, and after birth. She firmly believes that EVERY woman deserves a good support network. A network that consists of health professionals, along with family, friends, and, of course, the support of a doula, is the greatest gift parents can experience in their lifetime. We had an incredible experience with our birth doula, Elizabeth, and cannot recommend her enough. She is truly down to earth, kind, caring, supportive, and knowledgeable. From the very beginning, Elizabeth made herself available by phone, and we always felt comfortable and confident reaching out with questions before labor. Once I went into labor, it was reassuring to notify her and she generously made herself available to support us. During labor, Elizabeth provided amazing emotional support and helped me through some of the rougher contractions with tools and support. She was also a strong advocate and helped guide us through decision making in the labor process. In addition to offering knowledge and guidance, having another familiar, calming face in the room made a huge difference. Elizabeth took the time to really get to know us before labor and followed up with a visit afterward, which meant so much. Having a doula like Elizabeth added an extra layer of support, advocacy, and reassurance that allowed us to feel more grounded, informed, and cared for throughout the entire experience. We truly loved having her as part of our birth and are so grateful for the role she played in it.
