What's the Cost of Hiring a Night Nanny in Marietta, GA?

The cost of a night nanny in Marietta, GA can vary depending on the specific services provided, the experience and qualifications of the nanny, and the number of hours required. On average, night nannies in Marietta, GA may charge anywhere from $20 to $40 per hour. It is recommended to contact local agencies or individual nannies to inquire about their specific rates and services.

The cost of a night nanny in Marietta, GA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Marietta, GA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. I have worked with Aerkya since 2019 for 4 pregnancies and it wasn't until this last one that I realized that the reason we came to blows was totally my fault. There was no physical altercation and I can't even say that there was a heated verbal exchange because I did all of the verbal attacking and used all the inflammatory language. For my first pregnancy she was beyond helpful to my family. She was more than a doula and something like a therapist. She showed up for me not just physically but emotionally and I know I got on her nerves with as much as I called and texted her. She has NEVER said this but I'm sure I was a nag. My second delivery in 2021 was much of the same but I'd lost my dad at the end of my pregnancy. I went into labor the day after his funeral and she literally held me while I dealt with every emotion known to man. My third delivery in 2023 was my easiest pregnancy and delivery and she was there every step of the way. My most recent delivery this year 2026 was rough. The pregnancy and the delivery were hard on me physically and emotionally and while Aerkya did her best to keep me focused on the main goal, I was not a walk in the park to deal with. I have moved about 50 minutes away from where I lived with the first three deliveries and because I have had home deliveries I always wanted to make sure my birth team could get to me easily. I went into labor around 5 am in the morning but I didn't call her until maybe 8:30. Knowing with morning traffic it would be at least a hour almost 2 to reach me. I called her several times to see where she was knowing she was in traffic and hearing her driving and horns honking in the background. She stayed calm even though I was a real you know what. I cursed at her, I yelled at her, I told her that she should've just known that I was in labor. And if you get to know her, you know she can match your fire but she didn't. She remained calm and gentle with me and to this day I don't know why she didn't go off on me. I didn't even call my midwife I just called Aerkya. I found out later that she called my midwife on her way to my house because she lives even farther away and it would be an even longer drive for her. I ended up delivering my baby that 2:27 that afternoon and I was happy but still dealing with other personal stuff so I was mean even after having a healthy baby with no complications. I yelled because Aerkya and the midwife were there. They did nothing wrong to me or my children. Aerkya called and texted me, my husband, my mom, my sister and my best friend DAILY to check on me and the baby. They would tell me to reach out to her to just let her know we were ok but instead I called her, cursed and yelled at her and told her not to contact me or my family again. All she said was okay and if you experience her "okay", you'll learn that she basically told me she was done with me. I found out later on that she kept reaching out to my husband, sister and best friend to help them help me. It took me about a month to feel something like myself again and I realized that I was mean to my entire family. I reached out to my midwife and Aerkya to apologize and make things right. I went back through texts and realized just how horrible I was to her. She still tried to be there for me. I have reached out countless times in the past month and haven't gotten a response and I deserve that. I wouldn't respond to me either. Aerkya went above and beyond for me each pregnancy but I had unrealistic expectations of her this time around. Aerkya has a calm presence that you wouldn't even realize you need until it's there. She listens attentively and I never felt rushed with her. Even if she had decided not to show up for my delivery because I was nasty to her I could never replace or ignore how she showed up for me through other pregnancies and deliveries and through this one. I hope she will have me for any further pregnancies because I'm not working with anyone else but her.

An Incredibly Positive and Blessed Experience with Abbie! As a first time mom, I cannot speak highly enough about the support and care I received from Abbie. From our very first meeting, it was clear that she was not only knowledgeable and experienced but also deeply compassionate. She took the time to get to know our preferences, answer all of our questions, and make sure we felt comfortable and supported throughout my entire pregnancy journey. She was great with communication and provided us with resources throughout pregnancy for birth prep. When labor came, Abbie was calm, present, and prepared. She gave us reassurance and confidence in our birth plan/decisions throughout, while respecting the space and prioritizing baby's health. She was present throughout all of labor (A LONG TIME) and was able to help me try different positions, offer hands on support and holistic pain relief strategies, prayer, Bible verses, positive affirmations and encouraged me to eat & drink. Her presence made all the difference—I felt empowered and confident knowing she was there advocating for me and my baby. What truly stands out about Abbie is her ability to create a warm, non-judgmental space, no matter what the circumstances, and her shared faith which allowed me to open up and feel comfortable having her at my birth. She was prepared during the labor process and helped my husband and I feel confident. Thanks to her support and expertise, I felt so much more prepared for the challenges of labor and postpartum. I couldn’t have asked for a better doula, and I highly recommend her to anyone. I also want to share that I originally was skeptical of having a doula, but after many prayers I am so grateful we found Abbie and had her support during my unmedicated birth. God is good! Thank you, Abbie, for being such a vital part of our birth story and for helping us bring our baby girl into this world!

Jabria was an amazing doula. As first time parents we weren’t sure what to expect going into the experience at all. The tool’s & resource she offered made a huge impact when it came to preparing for labor. Her support during the labor was like a ‘sounding board’ for my boyfriend to check in with, when it came time to make decisions for me and our baby. I also appreciate how she was able to stay involved without making any of our family feel left out. Her continued support postpartum has been amazing. Jabria is family at this point, we’re so glad to have found her as our doula!

I had a wonderful experience with Tremaine. Before hiring her I was very nervous and she helped me prepare for labor mentality, emotionally and physically. My hospital birth was great all thanks to her. She really helped me a lot during labor by using aromatherapy, massage, positive affirmation, and guiding me on movements to help me cope with contractions. After labor she continued checking on me and gave me great advice that helped me heal. I recommend Tremaine because she has very caring, helpful and knowledgeable.

Review of Doula: Molly Raynor- long but thorough First to give some background information about myself: I am 38 years old, mother of four, two high risk pregnancies, used Molly for three out of the four births. Note: I do have a great husband who helped me throughout the pregnancy and birthing process but he would even say Molly helped in ways he couldn't enter into nor wanted to- 1st Pregnancy/ Delivery: 2015 I did not used a doula for my first pregnancy/birth because I thought I could handle the pain, the process, the unknowns because I was a student athlete in college; but I was naive and foolish. I did not education myself on the birth process, options available nor any postpartum possibilities. It was an incredibly difficult pregnancy with intense nausea and poor eating and exercise habits. In labor and delivery the baby was stuck on my pelvic bone, it was three hours of pushing, throwing up, and almost ended in a c section but the doctor used a vacuum to pull baby out. Recovery was a long road and the memory of it all felt like a train wreck. 2nd Pregnancy/Delivery: Macon, Ga. 2016 I called Molly right after a positive pregnancy test. This pregnancy was much better because we monitored my diet and exercise so I could handle all the ups and downs of nausea and appropriate weight gain. At 20 weeks this pregnancy turned into high risk as the baby had a spot on her kidneys. Molly helped me navigate the unknowns of going to obgyn and high risk doctors. At 34 weeks baby tried to come and I was sent to the hospital for steroid shot and bed rest, Molly was there with me through this process. Finally at 39 weeks baby girl decided it was time to meet everyone. Molly made the 2 hour drive to Macon, GA from Atlanta, GA to assist me. It was an uneventful birth of 12 hours. I was planning on going natural but the pain caught up with me and I ended up with an epidural and a baby an hour later. Molly comforted me in that I wasn't any less than a mom because I made a change in my birth plan. I had a lot of guilt about this that she helped me shift through. She held me through the epidural and then attended to the baby post birth to make sure all the nurses and doctors followed my birth plan exactly. She became what I found most helpful as my "external thinking brain" because during the pains of labor and post birth highs, I was in my own world; Molly was the one who kept me balanced and helped the staff stay on track to my wishes. 3rd Pregnancy/Delivery: Cartersville, Ga. 2021 Again, called Molly as soon as we knew we were pregnant. This time I knew I wanted an unmedicated birth and expressed that earnestly. Molly quickly and thoroughly got me resources to watch, read, listen to so I could prepare my body and mind. She would send me videos, I would put in the mental and physical effort to obtain my goal. This pregnancy went by fast, maybe with other two kids in full swing of life. But found myself at 38 weeks with contractions every 20 minutes apart and headed to see my midwife. She confirmed I was in active labor and sent us to the hospital. Molly kept my labor from stalling by using different techniques: birthing ball, walking halls with me, rubbing backing during contractions and many other options. With my water breaking, I quickly went from 8cm to 10cm to pushing. Molly worked with my midwife to think through different pushing positions to help baby. Finally after 30 mins of pushing, I held my baby. Molly again took over watching baby and making sure what I wanted on my birth plan was followed, nothing more, nothing less. Fourth pregnancy/delivery: Rome, GA. 2025 This was my hardest pregnancy, maybe due to age, the unexpected positive pregnancy because of a blood clotting disorder and the fact of older kids and their activities. Again, I saw a high risk doctor and an OB. We planned for another unmedicated birth by watching videos, listening to audio books, and walking through all the details we could forsee and control. With a more serious situation of my blood clotting we walked more thoroughly through c section possibly, my wants, my goals, the medicine I can and can't have and the NICU possibilities. I started having consisent contractions at 36 weeks and went on bed rest. These contractions stayed and made rush to the hospital a few times. Finally at 39 weeks 4 days, my water broke and was 5cm. Molly and I did everything we could to progress labor with many different stretches, poses, walking, miles circuit, and yet after 18 hours, I hadn't progressed any but was exhausted from the intense but irregular contractions. My gut told me baby was stuck on my pelvic bone and I couldn't keep going without an epidural. With a long conversation with Molly and the labor and delivery nurse, I knew it was what was best for me. Molly held me again during the epidural and they positioned me so baby would descend and within an hour I was pushing. Molly and the labor and delivery nurse worked together to put me in the best pushing positions. Again, post birth, Molly instantly attended and followed the baby around. Molly helped me a lot post partum this pregnancy as the baby blues were very strong and overwhelming. I could call and talk with her anytime. She encouraged me of the good things, listened to me express my sadness of not being pregnant and just helped me navigate waters that I thought I could cross by myself. Personal aspect: Molly not only became a source of strength for me each pregnancy but a comfort that she would advocate for me and my baby. Having her by my side gave me confidence to approach the unknown and yet allowed us to control the controlables. I can't recommend her enough, she knew when to be serious, when to make me laugh, when to be firm with me and the hospital staff, and when to let things be. Note other things she did worth mentioning: Came to my OB appointments to meet my midwife and doctors. Toured all three different hospitals with me to know where and how to get to labor and delivery. Made a hospital labor and post delivery snack bag. Made texting groups for family and friends to keep them posted on labor and delivery. Handed out copies of my birth plan to labor and delivery staff. Helped me with postpartum blues. Helped me with breastfeeding techniques and proper latch. Gave me a post partum visit each pregnancy to check on me and baby.

As a twin mom myself, I intimately understand the unique needs of families expecting multiples—and I combine that lived experience with a commitment to evidence-based support. I’ve supported births of all kinds—natural, medicated, hospital, home, VBAC, and c-section—with a proud emphasis on honoring whatever birth path you choose. My approach is rooted in education, advocacy, and unshakeable calm. I aim to equip partners with practical tools, guide birthers through decisions with clarity, and ensure every voice in the room is heard. It’s an honor to usher families through such a sacred transition, fostering confidence, ease, and support from pregnancy through postpartum—and beyond.

Chawnie was the best doula our family could’ve asked for. Prior to and during the birth, she always helped us be as informed as possible. She also never pressured us into a single way of doing things, but acted as a guide for us to make the best decisions for me and my baby. Since my child was born, she’s remained a loving person I consider a part of our extended family and I would recommend her to anyone pregnant looking for a doula.

Having a passion of caring for babies and young children ever since young, I have extended that passion through education becoming a certified postpartum doula. With years of newborn, infant and young childcare under my belt, I have had the pleasure of caring for newborns, infants, and young children with a variety of needs. The needs include colic, premature care, circumcision care, sight disabilities and more. Providing quality and compassionate care for mothers, newborns, infants, toddlers and young children is my number priority. In the midst of my journey of newborn, infant, toddler and childcare care, I became aware of the care and attention that is needed towards women. The ability to create a safe space for them in many ways built up my courage to dive deeper into caregiving.

Recent review

Subrina was awesome, she was very attentive to my daughter. I was nervous to seek out help due to anxiety, but I am glad I did because we had someone like her. She let me relax and do the things I needed to around the house. I was able to get five hours of rest which is unheard of with a newborn. When I woke up she had a schedule of everything she did for my daughter, and if I had a question about anything she was more than happy to answer. The spirit that she carries is very comforting, not only to me as a mom but other family members that was around. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a service like this. Hopefully by the time I am ready to have another she will be available again.
