Hello, I’m looking to have a home birth, I’ve had two other kids, both hospital births and just found it to be extremely stressful. I’m not very educated on birth plans, would be open to guidance. I am only 4 weeks 3days. Our budget is limited, but can save $2000-3000. We’re very excited and looking for best care and options to bring our little one into the world.

ideally i’d like to give birth in some sort of birth center where i can possibly do a water birth, but those are really the only details i have. i don’t know what my budget is or what my birth plan is yet.

I’m looking to do a waterbirth, Possibly a home birth if I’m able to. I do have history of preterm birth. My first baby was born at 23 weeks. I went on to have 3 more full term babies. I took progesterone shots with my 3 pregnancies, so I don’t know if that keeps me from having a water birth/homebirth. I have Medical Assistance for insurance. Would prefer a Christian midwife if possible. I would like as natural of a birth as possible. Skin to skin right away, delayed cord clamping, no bath, baby stays with me.

I would love to give birth at home, but Aetna insurance does not cover home births, so I am considering other options.

I am not pregnant yet but we hope to start trying soon. One thing that means a lot to me is being able to have a home birth (if the pregnancy and baby are healthy). We don’t have an estimated budget but a home birth means so much to me that money isn’t a concern as of yet. I would like a natural home birth. Very calm and low key. Go about normal daily life as long as possible. Focus on coping mechanisms, relaxation, and distraction techniques. I would also like to have my husband very hands on and bonding together through the process of welcoming our baby into the world.
