I am looking for a doula who partners with SSM and is in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL.

I plan to give birth at a hospital but want someone there with me to guide me through it.

This is my first child and I am looking for a doula or midwife who provides prenatal and postpartum care that includes herbs, a firm hand that can keep me with my birthing plan and has more holistic values. I like the idea of all warm foods, steaming and belly binding after birth.

I’m looking for a birth doula, postpartum doula, and birth photographer. I plan to deliver at a hospital and am hoping for a low-intervention, physiologic birth. Informed consent is extremely important to me, and I want someone who will help me understand my options, risks, benefits, and alternatives and support me in advocating for my preferences without making decisions for me. I’m currently undecided about elective induction and an epidural and would like support exploring my options. For postpartum care, I’m looking for help adjusting to life with a newborn, recovery, and practical support as needed. I’m also interested in a photographer who can document labor, birth, and the first moments after delivery in a natural/candid style. I’m open to discussing budget and would love to hear about packages or payment plans. I plan to give birth at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, and my OB is Karlin Silvers at Freeman Women’s Pavilion. I have Missouri Healthy Blue insurance. I don’t have a firm budget yet and am currently comparing options and learning what services typically cost, so I’m especially interested in providers who accept my insurance or offer affordable options/payment plans. This is my first baby, and I would prefer someone experienced with first-time parents, anxiety, chronic pain, and supporting low-intervention births in a hospital setting. Above all, I’m looking for someone knowledgeable, patient, and nonjudgmental who doesn’t mind explaining things until I genuinely understand them, especially when I’m overwhelmed or anxious. I want someone who can help make pregnancy and birth feel exciting and enjoyable rather than frightening. This is my first pregnancy and will likely be the only pregnancy and birth I plan to experience, so it is extremely important to me that it feel special, meaningful, and sacred. For postpartum support, I’d especially appreciate help with newborn care, feeding support, recovery, establishing routines, and some light household help such as simple meals, dishes, or baby-related laundry when needed. I’m not looking for someone to take over parenting, but rather someone who can help us learn, adjust, and feel confident caring for our baby.

I plan to have a less traditional birth and would like to discuss some of my preferences, including an unmedicated hospital birth, delayed cord clamping, waiting at least 24 hours before the baby’s first bath, and limiting cervical checks and continuous monitoring unless medically necessary. I’m also open to discussing other options that may help support the type of birth I’m hoping for. I'm not sure on budget as of now. Open to discussion.

I need someone to provide supportive care during birth. I have intense and fast labors. I give birth at MoBAP, typically induction. I don’t have any set plans, I always try to avoid an epidural, it messes with my blood pressure. For that though I need someone who keeps me focused and can provide support during contractions

I'm looking into having a doula along for my third birth. My first two labor experiences were straightforward with a few hiccups, but I'm looking for more flexibility and agency this time around. I plan to labor at the hospital and am open to an epidural or not depending on how I'm feeling in the moment. I'd like to retain movement as long as I can tolerate it.
