The cost of a night nanny in New Bedford, MA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in New Bedford, MA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

I came to the USA as an au pair, which gave me the opportunity to develop a deep passion for newborn care. I am CPR certified, NCS certified, and I am currently working towards my postpartum doula certification. My skills include patience, feeding support, and sleep conditioning, all of which I have honed through my hands-on experience. I am dedicated to providing the highest level of care to both newborns and families, ensuring a supportive and nurturing environment. I believe that every newborn and family is unique, and my approach to care is rooted in patience, compassion, and evidence-based practices. My goal is to create a calm and nurturing environment where both baby and parents feel supported and confident. I prioritize gentle sleep conditioning, feeding support, and fostering healthy routines that work for each family’s needs. By continuously expanding my knowledge—such as pursuing my postpartum doula certification—I strive to provide the best care possible. I see my role not just as a caregiver, but as an educator and guide, helping families transition smoothly into their new chapter with their little one.

I can’t recommend Rafaela enough! She took care of my first baby during the night, and her help was truly invaluable. As a new mom, I was exhausted, and knowing that my little one was in such capable and loving hands allowed me to finally get some rest. Rafaela is incredibly gentle, patient, and knowledgeable—she has this calming presence that instantly put me at ease. She knew exactly what to do, whether it was soothing, feeding, or simply making sure my baby was comfortable and safe. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy to care for your newborn at night, Rafaela is amazing!

Choosing Kathryn for my labor and delivery was, hands down, the best decision we made to help us navigate my first pregnancy. She made us feel safe and supported throughout my journey. When a possible pregnancy complication arose, she was there to talk through it and offer calming words of encouragement. When my labor pains were unbearable, she was there with a full body massage, which lasted hours. And when we chose to have the placenta stored, she was the caretaker who made sure it was stored safely and appropriately. Kathryn supported us so much that we chose her experience and knowledge for all three of my births. She was by my side for all three labors, supporting, massaging, helping me to reposition, and providing endless counter pressure during contractions.  Kathryn cares deeply about you and your labor and delivery experience. She is a calm voice and a listening ear during a new experience. I am so grateful she was there, and I highly recommend her!

Hi, I’m Nicolette Meinert, the founder of Family In Bloom. I have worked with children and families since 1997, when I completed my first American Red Cross babysitting course. My path in early childhood care began in Wakefield, Massachusetts, where I volunteered in summer-school and after-school programs while attending Galvin Middle School. I went on to study Early Childhood Education at Wakefield Memorial High School. Since graduating in 2004, I have worked as an infant, toddler, and preschool teacher and as a full-time nanny, caring for children at many stages of development. I bring nearly three decades of experience, a calm presence, and deep respect for the trust families place in me. Newborn & Family Care My greatest passion is supporting families during the newborn stage and helping parents feel more confident as they adjust to life with a baby. Through Family In Bloom, I provide overnight infant care, postpartum support, newborn-care guidance, and thoughtful care tailored to each family’s routines, values, and needs. I have cared for several sets of twins and understand the distinct needs of multiples and the practical support their families often need. Whether you are welcoming your first baby, growing your family, or navigating a more complex newborn experience, my goal is to offer dependable, compassionate, and safety-centered support. Specialized Infant Experience I hold a special place in my heart for medically complex and premature newborns. My experience includes supporting infants with NG tubes, G tubes, and oxygen needs, as well as premature babies born as early as 30 weeks’ gestation. My commitment to this work grew while caring for premature twins who were born at 30 weeks’ gestation. That experience reinforced my belief that families caring for babies who need extra support deserve skilled, steady, and compassionate care. I work within my role and collaborate respectfully with each family’s established medical team and care plan. Safety-Centered Support Safety is a central part of my work. As an American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Instructor Trainer and Child Passenger Safety Technician, I enjoy helping families build practical skills and confidence around everyday safety. My approach combines continued education, careful attention to each child, and support that feels encouraging rather than overwhelming. Education, Training & Certifications My education and professional development include training and certification in: Early Childhood & Family Care - Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care infant, toddler, and preschool teacher - CAPPA Postpartum Doula - Newborn Care Solutions Newborn Care Specialist - Infant and Child Training Academy Multiples Care Specialist Infant Safety & Wellness - Safe Kids Child Passenger Safety Technician - Safe Sleep Ambassador - American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Instructor Trainer - Medication Technician Feeding & Specialized Infant Support - Infant Feeding Technician - Pediatric Tube Feeding - Oral Ties - Infant Mental Health - SleepWonders Integrative Course for Professionals

I’m a Certified Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist with more than a decade of experience caring for babies and children. There is so much information and noise surrounding new parenthood, and I love helping families sort through it all and figure out what actually makes sense for them. I don’t believe there is one right way to feed a baby, get through the night, set up a home, or build a family life. I look at your family, your priorities, your resources, your home, and your lifestyle to help anticipate what you might need and find solutions that fit. I offer experience, practical support, and clarity to help you figure out what works for your family. My goal is to instill confidence, support rest, and help your family find its own way forward.

Thank goodness we found Nicole! We received a gift certificate from a friend for her registry concierge service. At first we weren't sure we would use it. But we went for it and she spent several sessions helping us set up our registry in a way that fit our family. We loved it so much that we hired her to come help us set up the house before the baby came, and then contracted her for daytime visits for the first three months of our girl's life! She will always be a member of our clan. Without her, we would have wasted an immense amount of time and money figuring it out on our own and taking energy away from each other and our baby. Thank you Nicole! 💕💕

Hello everyone! My name is Marissa Monteiro, and I am a trained birth doula proudly serving families throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. My passion for caring for others has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. With over seven years of experience in healthcare, my background includes working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medication Technician (CMT), and experience in surgical services, alongside training in phlebotomy and EKG. These experiences have allowed me to care for individuals from all walks of life during some of their most vulnerable moments. As the founder of Mama Rissa’s Birth Garden, I believe that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are more than medical experiences. They are deeply personal, emotional, and transformative journeys deserving of compassion, patience, education, and genuine support. My philosophy is rooted in the belief that every birthing person deserves to feel heard, respected, empowered, and actively involved in their own care. I strive to create a warm, judgment-free environment where families can ask questions, express their fears, celebrate their milestones, and navigate their experiences with confidence. As a woman of West African and Puerto Rican heritage, I also recognize the importance of culturally sensitive care, representation, and advocacy within maternal health. My goal is not to tell families how their birth experience should look, but to help them discover what feels right for them while providing continuous emotional, physical, and informational support. To me, being a doula is more than a profession. It's an opportunity to build meaningful connections, nurture families, and make sure no one feels alone during one of life's most significant transitions. At Mama Rissa’s Birth Garden, my approach is simple: nurturing families, honoring choices, and supporting every birth with heart. 🤍

Working with my Andrea was one of the best decisions I made during my pregnancy. From our prenatal visits, she brought a sense of calm and reassurance that helped put both my husband and I at ease. During labor, her guidance of comfort measures and steady presence helped me stay focused and confident throughout. She anticipated needs before we had to ask and created a supportive environment for everyone. Even after delivery she stayed with us to make sure I felt comfortable, and cared for in those first moments postpartum.

We are so grateful for Stacey’s help. Our baby went from waking 7 times a night to sleeping through the night much faster than we ever expected. What stood out most was how personalized her approach was. Her recommendations were evidence based, but always tailored to our family’s needs and comfort level. As nervous first time parents, having Stacey check in with us nightly and help troubleshoot in real time made all the difference. We trusted her completely after working with her as our postpartum doula, and hiring her as our sleep consultant was one of the best decisions we made. Highly recommend!

Hi there! Congratulations, expectant parent! I am a Certified Birth Doula & work in the Greater Boston area. I am passionate about providing access to birth support & am certified to take Mass Health members' insurance. I work with midwives in home birth settings; I work in hospitals in Boston, Framingham, Worcester, etc. This year, I was inducted into my college's Hall of Fame (sporty girl over here!) so I bring a physical strength alongside a deep serenity to all birth settings. I believe there is a sweet spot between kinetic intuition (let the person birth!!) & science therefore I arrive at this practice from this lens. I'm here to listen to what type of birth you're preparing for or beliefs you have as this is paramount to inform us (we're a team) & guide your birth in the most aligned & authentic way possible. When I am not on call, supporting pregnant people during prenatal visits, or nourishing folks during postpartum, I focus on building Earth Allies, my organic plant-based company that I founded in California. I am a mother to a two year old; I am in the process of adopting her out of the MA foster care system. May your pregnancy & birth be a positive one for YOU & your baby/babies.

Allie came into our lives at such a pivotal moment in time and I will forever be grateful that our paths crossed when they did. As a first time mom, I had spent hours of time reading, listening, and meditating in preparation for our twin home birth - I knew that I wanted a support person in addition to my husband, but I didn't know exactly what that looked like in practical form. I'd had another doula planning to accompany our home birth, but in the final weeks of my pregnancy, she was not able to support me after all. That's where Allie gracefully came into the picture. I was connected with Allie through my midwife's glowing recommendation of her. By the end of our first visit, I truly felt as though we had been friends for years. I am so grateful to have met her when I did, as I ended up going into labor the next day! Allie is kind, compassionate, affirming, gentle, empathetic, and has such a beautiful heart for mamas and their birth experiences. I went through active labor for several hours with my husband before we asked Allie to head our way. I will always be amazed at how much lighter my contractions felt as soon as Allie arrived. She quietly and seamlessly entered into my birthing den and as she held space for my surges while my husband could take a rest, I noticeably felt so much more relaxed and at peace. Even though labor was progressing quickly, it all felt significantly smoother with Allie's presence at my side. She kept me hydrated and nourished so that as my body did the handwork, my mind could be at rest. This was happening. This was right. This was meant to be We welcomed our Lana Rose at 6:12pm after a 12 hour labor. Our Esme Jane came just a short 10 minutes later at 6:22pm. Allie was there to hold my hand and my heart through the most empowering experience of my life. She captured the most beautiful moments on camera that I will cherish forever, and cared for me so thoroughly and attentively in my hours after the birth. Allie is, in short, like both a sister and a best friend all wrapped into one amazing soul. Her presence made every difference not only for me, but also for my husband. We will forever be grateful to her for sharing her heart with us in abundance on that special day.
