I walk this path as a full-spectrum doula serving Skagit, Island, and Whatcom counties, supporting families through every phase of their journey with compassion, truth, and a deep reverence for the lineage of birthworkers who came before us. My work weaves modern care with ancestral knowing, honoring the understanding that my ancestors have always been the original doulas and community nurturers. Through Blakk Box Doula Services LLC, I offer birth, postpartum, and emotional support rooted in balance, grounding, and connection. My services include Reiki-infused massage, blessingways, placenta encapsulation resources, herbal teas and bath salts, yoni steaming, cleansing baths for trauma release, and intentional postpartum care that uplifts the body, spirit, and home. My calling is to create safe, loving spaces where birthing people feel seen, supported, informed, and empowered. Whether walking with you through pregnancy, birth, the tender postpartum window, my goal is to help you feel held—never rushed, never alone. Hi, I’m Sage. I’m a doula and the founder of Mommy Meltdown Perinatal Services. I started this work because I noticed the lack of a village when I could have used one the most. My lived experience is why I’m so committed to making sure no one else has to navigate the messy, beautiful reality of parenthood alone. I don’t understand this work just from a book, I’ve been there too. I am a DONA International trained birth doula, hold a COC in group peer support, and am trained in perinatal mental health and anxiety disorders from a non-clinical perspective. I’m here to support your body and your mind through labor and the weeks that follow. When it comes to birth, I’m a calm, steady advocate in your corner. I won't tell you how to birth; I'll be there to make sure you have the evidence-based information you need to make your own choices with confidence and the support you need to see them through. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to connect. Let's have a quick chat to get to know each other and talk about how I can best support your unique journey!

Sage was a huge help for us in those first couple weeks of postpartum. Knowing she was watching over our baby girl gave us some much needed sound sleep and her advice during that time was invaluable. She's so easy to talk to and incredibly helpful with getting back on top of our baby laundry and dishes. Highly recommend Sage and her services!

I am a Certified Lactation Counselor and Birth/Postpartum Doula, and was called to this work because of my own experiences. I had a myriad of pregnancy issues, including loss, high risk medical complications, postpartum mood disorder, PTSD, and breastfeeding challenges. Like many families, we could not find the right resources, despite looking and asking for help. I don't want another person to fall through the cracks like I did. That was back in 2007/2008, and while more support systems are in place, we are still clearly lacking. We all benefit from having compassionate, non-judgmental help in the process of starting or adding to our families, and it brings me immense satisfaction to be that person for others. Show Less A scenic landscape showing mountains, a lake, and trees under a clear blue sky. My Philosophy I believe that every person has the right to a safe, respectful, and empowering experience when starting or adding to their family-whether through adoption, fertility treatments, or birth. This should be provided no matter their race, religion, beliefs, economic status, disability status, sexual or gender identity. I am committed to provi Show More My Services I offer a range of services to support birthing individuals and families throughout the pregnancy and childbirth journey. These include prenatal support, labor and delivery support, postpartum care, bottle-feeding/formula guidance, pumping and lactation support.

Debora was our night doula earlier this year for our daughter. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula for their newborn or infant. She is extremely professional and punctual. She loves children and makes sure your child is safe, clean and fed throughout the night. I trust her with my child’s life and recommend her to anyone looking for nighttime support during the newborn stage.

I met Mary when she practiced in Arizona and quickly turned into more than just a service provider, but a friend as well. She’s helped me through the pregnancy and post partum of all 4 of my babies and I couldn’t ask for a better support person by my side. Even from Texas, Mary was an absolute saint even just with listening through my temper-tantrums while being pregnant and guiding me through labor-prep. I seriously have her and her alone to thank for such an amazing birth and post partum 4 times now. I seriously recommend her if you’re looking for someone to feel more like family than a service.

Adrea was recommended to me by a friend of a friend, who had used her twice for postpartum newborn care. She is an expert in baby sleep!! Adrea is also very kind, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. She did not have availability to help me at night, but made herself available as much as possible during the day so I could get some much needed sleep. So so grateful for her. Highly recommend!!

My 4 month old twins went from horrible sleepers, up all night and spaced out sleeping during the day, to only waking up ONCE for a feed every night when I used Taeleonna for our sleeping needs!!! She changed our life 😭 and was extremely empathetic to us as new parents. She even reassured us constantly that we are doing our best and doing great. I recommend to anyone in desperate need of sleep. Our twins are 3 1/2 and have an amazing sleeping schedule. Thank you Taeleonna!!

Joy was one of two night doulas that we used for the first six weeks of our twins life. Having her in our lives was invaluable, so much so that we extended her contract 2 weeks further than originally planned. She is knowledgeable, skilled and easy to talk to. She provided us with basic tips about baby caring and twin caring when asked, and showed immense skill and love when handling our newborns. We had her for 9 hours every night, which meant that I got lots of sleep but also someone to debrief the day on, and look for tips and improvement. She seemed genuinely happy to arrive every evening, and she cared for our babies as if they were her own. Her calming presence set us at ease, and the babies seemed to always be calmer with her as well. We have told many other pregnant friends about her skill, but recommend her to anyone looking for a night nurse you can trust.

Working with Teresa has been an absolute dream. She is one of those providers that you simply cannot top. She is warm, communicative, and so so incredibly talented. I reccomend her to each and every one of my clients who needs overnight support I cannot accomodate. When I tell you Teresa is GIFT to the Seattle postpartum community I truly MEAN it. I tell my clients I would trust Teresa with MY own children if I were to have them and they can too. Her professionalism, background, and immense community impact makes her unparalled provider. If you have a question about it she has seen it, done it, conquered it. I truly cannot reccomend her enough. I also see this immensely benevolent side of her - this work goes far beyond any fee her clients pay. It's soul work. She wants to help. She cares. She is your VILLAGE. Teresa is the dream team member every postpartum client needs. I would reccomend Teresa without any hesistation for any of your postpartum needs.

While the world is often described as being made up of hunters and gatherers, I have always been a fire tender. I am awake and alert through the night, tending to the quiet rhythms of sleep and the well-being of those around me. While families rest deeply and safely, I hold the space—watchful, calm, and present—so warmth, comfort, and care are never interrupted. Creating a peaceful nighttime environment where babies feel safe and comforted, and parents are able to rest and feel supported, is deeply fulfilling. Night work is sacred. It’s in these hours that healing happens, bonds are strengthened, and rest becomes truly restorative. As a night nanny, my role is to protect that rest, ensuring babies are soothed, parents can fully let go, and the household remains peaceful until morning. I tend the fire so your family can sleep. I’m often described as soft-spoken, skilled, and a little silly, and I bring warm, attuned, and gentle care into all of my work with children. Being trusted with such a quiet, intimate part of a family’s early journey feels very special, and I approach it with great respect, attentiveness, and care. I’ve worked with families for over 10 years and have an abundance of glowing references available upon request. I value open communication, collaboration, and consent based, gentle caregiving practices, and I prioritize finding a strong mutual fit with the families I support. My expertise is in multiples, trauma, premies, and infant health issues. Rest is waiting. Let me hold the night.

Dylan is great with baby Prashanth. He has worked with us on many occasions and did a great job with baby keeping him engaged. Doing tummy time exercises. We also suffer terrible allergies and I had made a special request to follow a few protocols which he respectfully did follow through every time. Highly recommend!
