Hello! My name is Haley, and I am a certified full-spectrum birthworker. I am passionate about supporting all birthing bodies and holding space for life’s big moments. I love being a steady presence and firm advocate for people throughout their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum experiences. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I also focus on providing inclusive care for people of all sexes, gender identities, relationship models, races, and beliefs.   I have always had an interest in the birth world, but for the first 20 years of my life, I was dedicated to pursuing my love for dance. I moved to Salt Lake City from Akron, Ohio in 2018 to get my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ballet from the University of Utah. While I was studying for my degree, I started reading everything I could find about becoming a birthworker. My interest turned into an obsession and after dancing professionally for a year post-grad, I felt ready to take a break from dance and pursue birth work full time!    As your birth support, I lean on my intuition and learned skills to guide me. Entering your space with a regulated nervous system allows me to tap into that intuition and support you to the best of my abilities. I have worked with new mothers & newborns for over 14 years mainly in a hospital setting, then transitioned from working in the postpartum department to becoming a postpartum doula in 2022. I truly have a passion for serving and helping others. After the birth of my second child, I found myself struggling with postpartum depression. Even though I had a good support system, there were many factors at play that left me feeling depressed, anxious, and like I wasn't a good mom.  Thankfully, I was able to receive appropriate care and I was soon feeling better! I felt so incredibly loved and held as I did the work to recover. Because of the wonderful support I experienced from the birth and postpartum world, I decided to transition from my former career of 16 years as a veterinary technician. I am currently in the process of becoming certified as a postpartum doula through CAPPA and I am so excited to continue supporting the new families in my community!

Meredith is a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, certified women’s hormone specialist, cycle + fertility coach, menstruation educator, and mother to three amazing kids, ages 7, 5 and 3. She loves everything about the menstrual cycle–hormones, menstruation, fertility, birth, postpartum, and menopause. She loves teaching women (and families) how to use their cycle to balance their lives (and their hormones) and accomplish their goals for growing their family, or not. But Birth has a special place in Meredith’s heart. She came to birth work on a Thursday afternoon driving home from her Human Resources job. She was complaining about her job to her sister and her sister’s response was, “you should go be a Doula”. What’s a Doula? After her sister explained what a Doula does, a voice inside of her said, “I was born to do that”. She was in Doula training the next month and she has never looked back. She loves being with families and witnessing their growth and transformation as they move through the birth and postpartum process. Meredith excels at supporting families through natural/unmedicated birth both in and out of the hospital, and a lot of her clients have great results from her support in delaying medication so that it supports their labor rather than hinders it.
